Today I’m taking a look at the Zovoo DragBar B5000 CE (Cosmic Edition) disposable vape review.
Please note: The product under review is not available in the UK as it doesn’t meet TPD regulations. So only available for readers outside TPD regulated countries.
ZOVOO entered the vape market in 2020 with crystal clear intentions.
‘To create a new world with personality and spirit and to bring a different and great vape experience to global vapers’.
Those intentions were swiftly followed up by entering the third round of PMTA (Premarketing Tobacco Application) the same year.
From inception there’s never been a weak link in the R&D, design, supply and brand operation chain. In fact R&D is being ramped up 2023 so that originality and innovation can be assured to the consumer moving forwards.
ZOVOO’s commitment has already gained them accolades. In two short years they’ve won 12 awards in the vape industry including Best Disposable Vape runner up here at our 2022 Ecigclick Awards.
The original DragBar B5000 has already scooped up three awards of its own.
With a multitude of disposable vape devices behind them such as the DragBar F600, Z700GT and R6000, 2023 promises to be another eventful year for ZOVOO.
What Can We Expect From the ZOVOO DragBar B5000 CE Disposable Vapes?
The Zovoo DragBar B5000 CE disposables are not available to vapers in the EU or UK. Although ZOVOO have manufactured them in 0mg and 20mg salt nicotine strengths too, the E-liquid volume remains the same as the original DragBar B5000.
With an E-liquid capacity of 13ml the DragBar B5000 CE is rechargeable via Type C USB. A charging cable is not included.
The upgraded mesh coil is powered by an integrated 500mAh battery. As the name reflects, it’s capable of anything up to 5000 puffs.
With a small pin hole airflow slot built into the base, the DragBar B5000 CE is designed for use as a MTL (Mouth To Lung) vape.
Although the crystal clear mouthpiece is quite wide and comfortable to vape on, the airflow opening is suitably restricted to reflect its intended style of vaping.
The DragBar B5000 CE is extremely lightweight, has ergonomic rounded edges and fits comfortably in the hand. However the glossy finish does make it feel somewhat greasy to the touch.
As you might expect the device uses auto draw activation so no button mashing today!
One of the differences between this and the original DragBar B5000 disposable is the use of colour gradient on the main body. I’d have to say this is a definite improvement and reflects the mix of flavours included.
So there are 10 new flavours to choose from, including fruits and beverages. None of these are your simple straight forward variety either.
Expect multiple flavours from a single disposable with the new Zovoo DragBar B5000 Cosmic Edition.

Ok it’s time to check these out for flavour intensity, replication, vapour production, airflow restriction and of course the battery life and number of puffs.
Because the disposable is brand new I wasn’t able to source any flavour descriptions. So I’ll give the best interpretation I can – but please remember that taste is subjective.
Blueberry Smoothie
I Say:
A very intense flavour. The Blueberry is so strong it pushes fruity boundaries. By this I mean it could almost be mistaken for Raspberry. Such is the insane level of sweetness included.
There are a few milky back notes throughout the exhale and these do provide the vape with some much needed depth. The experience comes close to replicating a thick shake but never quite enough to make me think of a thick, creamy thirst quencher.
Still, this is a highly consistent vape and flavour spills from first inhale to last exhale.
As required from any smoothie, a sensible layering of Koolada has been mixed in. It’s not going to bother the tonsils much – unless you’re a chain vaper.
Like me!
Blueberry Smoothie is a pleasant enough vape and cram packed with flavour. The sweetness could be toned down and the dairy content ramped up a bit but overall it’s quite pleasing on the ole taste buds.
Grape Ice
I Say:
Grape Ice actually doesn’t contain an excessive level of sweetener and that, at least makes for a pleasant change.
But it is flavour intensive.
There’s a cooling kick to the back of the throat on the inhale and Koolada does its best to keep some of that intensity in check but there’s no denying the artificial qualities of this fruit.
That acrid, sulphuric taste makes an unwelcome return and although not as searing as usual, still not very pleasant.
Having said that – I couldn’t really expect realism if this is the taste most folks are digging from Grape.
It literally is a case of sour Grapes for me. I’m not a fan of the fruit – never have been.
If you are a fan and like the usual Grape concentrate poured into most disposable vapes you’re not going to be let down.
You may even appreciate the dilution of sweetness in Grape Ice.
Root Beer
I Say:
I’m not very familiar with Root Beer as a vape so what do I make of it?
Well the aroma from the mouthpiece has a very “Antiseptic” vibe so that doesn’t bode particularly well, does it?
And that’s exactly what I’m getting from the exhale, only enhanced as you might expect.
Believe it or not, I’m not entirely averse to the flavour, though. There’s a reason I say that.
The taste of mint is included and seems to push through just before the mid point of exhale. If anything, that adds to the curiosity value of Root Beer.
It also instantly erodes that Antiseptic cream like taste. It’s still going to be one of those ‘love it or hate it’ vapes, though and it all depends on what you appreciate personally.
It’s not too sweet (a good thing) but the Koolada may have you thinking you’ve just sprayed Ralgex onto your tonsils.
Zovoo have tried something a little bit different and I for one am not knocking them for that.
Peach Mango Watermelon
I Say:
This is a tasty vape.
With Peach Mango watermelon I think the concentrate levels have been toned down so as not to cause flavour confusion.
It all starts with a soothing chill on the inhale with some of the inherent sweetness being dragged along in the process.
Watermelon is the stand out flavour here. It’s fresh and natural tasting. Thankfully it doesn’t interfere with the Peach and actually fuses quite well. This combination almost creates an original taste – something a bit different.
There is a juicier side to the vape too which makes it quite refreshing and mouth watering.
The Mango is more difficult to isolate and is certainly much less powerful than the other two ingredients.
I like this one. It has character and originality. So full kudos to Zovoo for thinking outside the box.
Battery Performance and Number of Puffs
I refrained from using any other vape product while testing. I’m now immune to the effects of 50mg salt nicotine!
The disposables arrive factory charged so there’s no need to reach for a USB cable at this point. I vaped for a total of 11 hours before recharging the device.
The Blue LED on the base will flash 10 times when a charge is due and the device will cease functioning.
The LED remains a solid Blue during the charge cycle and switches off when complete.
This is indeed fast type C charging as it took exactly one hour. Be aware it’s not possible to vape while charging.
So the first wall charge gave me a whacking 17.5 hours continuous use. The second, 15 hours.
The cotton was beginning to taste burnt after a total of 43.5 hours. In other words, all the E-liquid had been vaped.
I personally believe the DragBar B5000 CE harvests approximately 3,200 puffs. If I take into account periods of restricted lung vaping I could round that up to 3,500.
I vape a lot! Sometimes I chain vape. For the new or casual vaper, the device will last for 7-10 days. Not too bad at all.
Final Review Verdict
It’s nice to see a bit of flavour complexity from a disposable vape and in general, ZOVOO have done a decent job. There’s still work to be done but given disposable vapes are going nowhere, I believe multi layered flavours are the way forward.
The Zovoo DragBar B5000 CE disposable vapes are flavour intensive, without doubt. Maybe some of the sweetness has been lowered and the Koolada works to great effect.
Above all, flavour consistency is the key to these disposables.
I was impressed with how each and every vape delivered the goods. The auto draw functionality is flawless but I would say the MTL vape is slightly looser than I was expecting.
In other words, it’s not quite on par with that of a cigarette-like airflow restriction so I’m not sure how a brand new vaper will respond to that.
Personally, it worked a treat. I was able to achieve a restrictive direct lung vape as and when I felt the need. Very useful since the device carries no airflow adjustability.
Finally, vapour production – it mimics cigarette smoke to a tee when MTL vaping so no issues there at all. It’s on par with a basic vape pen when restrictive lung vaping.
So to conclude – ZOVOO continue to deliver what disposable vape users are looking for. A consistent flavour, decent vapour production and just as importantly, a solid, reliable product.
