Today we are looking at the 25mm version of the new Wotofo Freakshow v2 RDA. There is also a 22mm version available if you require a smaller diameter RDA.
Wotofo is a company based in China and have been operating since 2009. Since then they have released atomisers such as the Troll V2, Freakshow and Sapor RDA’s and the original Serpent RTA as well as the Troll and Conqueror RTA’s.
The Freakshow v2 RDA is currently available in two finishes, black and stainless steel. Both look equally as nice as each other, so it’s completely up to you what colour you go for. In this review, we will be concentrating on the black version.
As always my opinions are honest and my own.

Build Quality & Design
We’ll start from the top and make our way down the device.
The Drip Tips:
At the top of the Freakshow v2, we have a stainless steel 510 drip tip that is black in. It is held into the 510 top cap with dual o-rings. It is wide, but not enough to cause any problems in the mouth.
The inside of the drip tip is conical which reduces the airflow slightly. With the 510 adapter, you can also attach your own 510 drip tip if you require.
You are able to replace the 510 drip tip assembly with an extremely wide bore drip tip. This is a much larger bore than the original 510 drip tip both internally and externally. It offers increased airflow and slightly better flavour. I am personally preferring this drip tip over the smaller 510 version. It looks and feels a lot better when using this RDA.
The Inner Airflow Control Barrel:
Below that is the inner airflow control barrel. This is held into the outer airflow barrel with a single o-ring, quite snugly as well! It has fins at the top to dissipate heat from the RDA as well as aiding in removal of the top cap.
Below that are two groups of 3 and two groups of 7 air holes which correspond with the slots in the outer airflow barrel to give you plenty of airflow options. Possibly far too many options though!
The Outer Barrel:
The outer barrel has 3 slots on either side. the top set are for the side airflow and the bottom set are for the bottom “Kennedy-Style” airflow chimneys. You can cut off the Kennedy-Style airflow by rotating the barrel on the deck if you wish.
In between the airflow slots, it has “Freakshow” engraved in an American Horror Story-style font. I personally think this looks great on the RDA, and doesn’t stick out too much.
The RDA Deck:
The RDA deck is a dual post “Velocity-Style” deck design. It has relatively large post holes and you can secure your coils with allen key grub screws.
I personally think that the positive post is too far in towards the centre of the RDA compared to the negative post. This makes aligning your coils over the bottom chimney a little bit harder as they are central to the deck.
The juice well is quite deep, which allows a nice amount of e-liquid to collect, just in case you like to deliberately over-drip to save dripping too often.
There are two chimneys located in the deck which offer bottom airflow to your coil. These are nicely sized, but they do tend to collect condensed e-liquid from time to time, so be sure to get a cotton bud in there every so often to soak it up.
At the base of the RDA deck are two o-rings which prevent leakage and secures the RDA base onto the outer airflow barrel. Underneath you have the usual Wotofo markings along with your 510 pin which protrudes a nice amount.
So with the RDA I have here today, I would be happy with using it on a hybrid mech if needs be. Please double check yours beforehand, as the protrusion may vary.
How Does the Wotofo Freakshow v2 RDA Perform?
On this RDA, I have been using a pair of twisted spaced kanthal coils which are the ones included in the accessories bag. They have come out to 0.26Ω on multiple devices as well as the Coil Master 521 Mini Tab.
Ease Of Build On The Wotofo Freakshow v2 RDA
The Freakshow v2 is extremely simple to build on. The dual post design along with separate holes and the large deck space allow easy coil placement.
Slotting in the coils is an absolute breeze, just poke the legs through, clamp them down and cut off the legs.
I find that positioning the coils over the central chimney was slightly awkward due to the posts not being the same distance away from the centre of the RDA.
Wicking the device is also simple and easy. Just poke the wick through the coils, cut off the excess and poke the wick down into the deep juice wells.
Juice them up, and you’re ready to go!Flavour & Cloud Production
With the build I am using in the Freakshow v2, I am getting very loose airflow, but it seems spot on for this atomiser. Obviously closing down the airflow will restrict the airflow further and increase the heat of the inhale.
Overall, the clouds and flavour are pretty damn good on the Freakshow v2. I would personally say that it is more concentrated on clouds rather than flavour due to the masses of airflow you get, but it does offer a respectable amount of flavour when you close down the airflow a few notches.

What I Like
The simple looks, interchangeable drip tips and deck design. All machined to a high standard with no sharp edges. Overall an extremely clean and tidy RDA!
The build deck is a great size. You can fit some HUGE coils in here, but you are obviously restricted by the size of the post holes.
What I Dislike
The positive post. It’s just that little bit too close to the centre of the RDA. A few more mm towards the outside and it would have been spot on. YES, this is petty, but I do love a bit of symmetry.
The Kennedy-Style airflow accumulates vapour residue over time. This makes screwing/unscrewing time rather messy if there is e-liquid flying out the airflow holes
Final Review Verdict
The Freakshow v2 RDA is a great RDA and offers many airflow options as well as the option to add your own 510 drip tip. The flavour is bloody good, but the clouds are even better.
Pros:
- Great looks
- Good flavour & Clouds
- Easy to build on
- Multiple airflow options
- Affordable
Cons:
- Unsymmetrical posts
- Weepy Kennedy-Style airflow
