The Wismec Sinuous V80 is a tiny single 18650 stealth device but will it please everyone?
The V80 was released along with it’s bigger brother, the Wismec V200 mod, which is for those that like a little more power and dual batteries.
I received the Wismec Sinuous V80 Kit in Black but there are three other colours to choose from.
The kit was sent to me for the purposes of review. As always, I will give you my own, honest opinion of this product after a lengthy testing period.

Design and Build Quality
Wismec Sinuous V80
The Wismec Sinuous V80 is small, compact kit ideal for both new and seasoned Vapers alike.
Despite the V80 being a lightweight device it’s very well built, sturdy and sits comfortably in the hand.
You get a 0.91 inch OLED display. It sits neatly on the front of the device and it is bright enough to be viewed indoors or in direct sunlight.
The front outer case is transparent revealing the circuit board underneath. The device itself is finished very nicely, no sharp corners or awkward protruding edges. There is no rattle from the mod at all.
The V80 can be very easily fired using your thumb or finger depending which way round you hold it and the button stands out easily enough to locate. The fire button has a nice clicky feel to it so there is no mistaking if you have pressed the button or not.
The battery door on this Mod is easily opened with a slide outward, dropping down to reveal the battery bay. Once the battery is inserted, a slight push up and push back and the battery door is firmly closed again.
Wismec Amor NSE Tank
The Wismec Amor NSE Tank is quite small and only has a 3ml capacity (non TPD version).
It’s a little different to most others in that, when you wind down the airflow, it makes for a decent MTL vape. If you use the 1.3ohm MTL coil then it’s perfect for 50/50 freebase juice and max strength Nic Salts.
The Tank also comes all nicely matched up with the colour of the Mod. One thing to note is that the top cap is fixed to the glass/plastic tank itself.
The Tank is your standard “Plug and Play”, screw in coil. To insert the coil simply screw into the base, put the top cap over the bottom section then simply screw the top section of the tank down.Filling the Wismec Amor Tank couldn’t be simpler.
- Slide back the top cover at the arrow until the cap goes back no further.
- Once open you will be met by a reasonable sized slot to put your e-liquid in.
Also, don’t forget, if you wish, you can throw a Tank of your own choice on top and as an extra Brucie Bonus, it fits up to a 26mm atomiser.
How does the Wismec Sinuous V80 Perform?
From the start, I wasn’t expecting an awful lot from such a small device but as we all know, good things come in small packages.
Everything it does, it does it well. In Wattage mode, it’s spot on. Using the Kit as a Direct to lung (DTL) or indeed a Mouth to Lung (MTL) device works well.
Throughout my time using the device it didn’t let me down but bear in mind, this is only a single 18650 device so you would be hard pushed to last a day depending on your usage and wattage, I always carried a spare battery or two to get me through.
Menu
The menu system is very easy to use.
- A quick three clicks on the fire button brings up the Mode select.
- Scroll through using the up and down buttons to set your desired output, Wattage, Bypass, TC-Ni, TC-Ti, or TC-SS.
- Hold the Fire Button at the same time as the left button takes the device into stealth mode and turns off the screen.
- Pressing both the left and right buttons locks the device.
How To Install The Batteries
You simply slide open the bottom battery door and then it drops down revealing the battery bay. The polarities are marked on the device door, though for me, as I usually point out, in not too brightly lit conditions it’s quite hard to see the markings.
Wismec do state that the device can be charged via a USB cable from a PC or wall socket but they also state that it is better to take out the cells and charge them via an external charger. Using an external charger would certainly be my advice and only to use the USB cable to charge the batteries in emergencies.
Flavour and Vapour Production
When using the stock Wismec Amor NSE Tank, the flavour isn’t bad.
Obviously, when using the Tank as a DTL set up, you get a better flavour than you do using it as an MTL set up.
While I wasn’t blown away with the flavour I certainly wasn’t disappointed from a stock coil tank. The flavour produced was good using the Tank as DTL and above average whilst using it as MTL, certainly better than a lot of pod systems on the market today.
The cloud production from the tank was average and as you would expect you get more vapor using it as DTL.
The performance from this tank is good, it’s not exceptional in the flavour department but if you want a vape that steers away from the ever increasing Pod Systems out there then this will do an equal if not better job.
Pros
- Great build quality
- Good Flavour
- Clean menu system and easy to navigate
- Quick firing Mod
- Very portable
- Versatile Stock Tank
- Able to take up to 26mm Atomiser
- Upgradable firmware
Cons
- Fingerprint Magnet
- Polarity Visability
My Final Thoughts
I have enjoyed using the Wismec Sinuous V80 Kit a lot. It’s not often you get a tank where I can be at home and doing a bit of DTL vaping, go to work then be able to use the same Tank and e-liquid and wind down the airflow to be able to use it as an MTL set up. That’s versatility at it’s finest.
The device is very responsive and has a very clear menu system enabling you to also set the device up to meet your own personal vaping needs.
It’s a great Mod, small, lightweight and very easy to use and good looks with the matching Amor Tank sitting on top.
If you are on the lookout for a small portable device you would do well to look further than the Wismec Sinuous V80 Kit.
