WHO Spreading Lies About Vaping Again
More of the WHO’s vaping lies and further down in the vape news, they’re even rejecting a nicotine based vaccine that could tackle COVID-19!
The World Health Organization is once again spreading lies and BS about the ‘dangers’ of vaping.
In a bulletin from its regional office for the Eastern Mediterranean, it answers the question: Why are e-cigarettes not a “safer” alternative during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond?
Oh my…
Only this week we had the FDA changing its tune on e-cigarettes saying there’s NO link between vaping and complications from COVID-19 – but hey the WHO doesn’t care about facts.
Given Trump has pulled funding it really can’t afford to upset serial donors like anti-vaping czar Michael Bloomberg…
In answer to the question they posed to themselves – isn’t that a sign on mental health issues? – they open up with lies and fake science:
Evidence reveals that electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) and electronic non-nicotine delivery systems, more commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, are harmful to health and undoubtedly unsafe.
E-cigarette emissions typically contain nicotine and other toxic substances that are harmful to both users and non-users who have been exposed to the aerosols second-hand.
The use of e-cigarettes also increases the risk of heart disease and lung disorders.
All total and utter BS – dangerous BS at that.
It just gets worse:
In addition, the scientific evidence regarding the effectiveness of ENDS as a smoking cessation aid is still being debated.
To date, in part due to the diversity of ENDS products and the low certainty surrounding many studies, the potential for ENDS to play a role as a population-level tobacco cessation intervention is unclear.
Tobacco users should quit completely and not switch to e-cigarettes, which pose health risks of their own, and are not safe.
The safest approach is not to use either tobacco products or e-cigarettes.
Using any of these products may increase the risk of COVID-19 patients suffering more severe illness.
At least they don’t mention suicide inducing and other horrific side-effects medication – instead they believe counseling and/or text message will help the billions of world smokers quit:
Tobacco users who want to quit should use tried and tested interventions such as brief advice from health professionals, and national quit lines or cessation interventions delivered via mobile text message (i.e. m-cessation for tobacco cessation), where available.
What a load of complete and utter bollocks.
For the record here’s the real truth behind the WHO’s ridiculous lies:
- Public Health England Says Vaping Is 95% Safer Than Smoking
- The TRUTH About Passive Vaping
- Will Your E-Cigarette Give You a Heart Attack? [No!]
- Smokers Are 5 Times More Likely To Quit If They Switch To E-cigarettes.
- FDA Admits It Was Wrong On Vaping and COVID-19 Threat To Health
The WHO has been wrong since the get go about the life saving and health benefits e-cigarettes bring to the world and show no signs of letting up its ridiculous and scary anti-vape crusade.
The sooner this corrupt money grabbing junket junky un-elected dictatorship is disbanded – the better the world will be.
Bastards one and all.
Vapers Voices WILL Be Heard In TPD Discussions
It looked as though European based vapers would be silenced about how TPD3 will be implemented.
However, and following a letter from the European Tobacco Harm Reduction Advocates [ETHRA] – it looks as though the voices of vaping consumers will be heard.
The EU had sent member states a questionnaire asking for feedback from the recent TPD2 review.
ETHRA says it was wrong not to include consumers and advocacy groups in the process – given they are the every people with the finger on the pulse so to speak.
Last week ETHRA wrote to the EU detailing not only it’s objections to consumers being shut out of the discussions, but listed its 5 key points it wants considering:
- Who is using safer nicotine products? What is the relationship between use of safer nicotine products and smoking?
- Is the TPD relevant and future proof?
- Tobacco for oral use [Snus]
- Nicotine limit for e-cigarette refills, refill bottle sizes, advertising
- Health warnings on electronic cigarettes
The letter also tackles the ridiculous 10ml limit on e-liquids adding:
Issues around the 10ml limit on refill containers should also be examined. Mandating small bottles is problematic in many ways:
•It leads to more frequent refilling, therefore more chance of spillage
•It increases the cost to the user for no discernible benefit
•It results in more packaging waste, most of which is plastic and in direct conflict with the EU’s environmental campaigns
I’d like to add the stupid 2ml tank size to that list too.
Anyway – great to see ETHRA has been invited to the table and fingers crossed TPD3 whenever it arrives will lessen rather than tighten regulation.

JUUL’s Sales UP But Another Boss Goes
Despite JUUL removing all of its flavoured pods from sale in the US, it’s sale of its mint flavour pod surged.
However, and given the current cash crisis facing the company, the boss of Altria – the Big Tobacco company with a large share of JUUL has resigned.
Chief executive of Altria Group Inc, Howard Willard, has had a turbulent couple of years at the helm, but he had little choice as the share price of JUUL has tumbled.
Altria took a $12.8 billion investment into JUUL back in 2018, however the controversial e-cigarette giant has been battered from all sides with lawsuits – federal investigations and of course being blamed for the so called ‘teen vape epidemic’.
Only last week the US Government filed an antitrust suit suggesting the JUUL/Altira deal was ‘dodgy’.
JUUL’s value has plummeted from $38 billion at the time of the share buy to just $14 billion today – Altria’s stock has also fallen some analysts say by as much as 30%.
Tough times indeed…

WHO Rejects Big Tobacco COVID-19 Nicotine Based Vaccine!
Yeah it’s back to those brain dead batty folks over at the World Health Organization.
I say batty – I mean mind blowingly stupid – dumb and quite frankly pathetic.
A couple of weeks ago it was ASH [the Action on Smoking and Health] that got its knickers in a twist after an affiliate of Big Tobacco’s Phillip Morris Inc – Papastratos – donated 50 ventilators for use in Greek hospitals.
At the time, Deborah Arnott, chief executive of Action on Smoking and Health, was furious – she said:
This is a shameful publicity stunt by Philip Morris International, which owns Papastratos and has a 40 percent share of the Greek tobacco market,” she said.
Smoking makes people more vulnerable to coronavirus, and if they get it makes the symptoms worse, meaning they’re more likely to need a ventilator.
Papastratos makes €1.3bn a year… In comparison, the donation of 50 ventilators is a drop in the ocean.
Wrong on one account and painfully ungrateful on the other…
Now the WHO has stepped in after it emerged British American Tobacco [BAT] is developing a nicotine plant based vaccine it is convinced will ‘bring the pandemic under control’.
Incidentally BAT is behind vape brand Vype.
BAT Chief Marketing Officer, Kingsley Wheaton, said:
The idea is that that vaccine would work in the same way any anti-viral would work and prepare the body for immunity.
With the right partners and in the right ecosystem, we would be able to scale up very quickly.
BAT’s Director of Scientific Research, Dr David O’Reilly, said:
We’ve been working on vaccines in tobacco for a number of years and in 2014 we produced one of the few sources of a treatment for Ebola.
Since then we turned our attention to the influenza virus and we have some trials on the way with the US government.
But, of course, in January it all changed when COVID-19 broke out so we’ve turned our attention to developing a vaccine for coronavirus using the same tobacco technology.
Nicotine the wonder drug? Who’da thought 😉
However, and yeah you’ve guessed it, the WHO is not happy and is warning world governments NOT to deal with the BAT nicotine based COVID-19 vaccine!
A spokesman said:
…partnership with the tobacco industry undermines governments’ credibility in protecting the population” as there is “a fundamental and irreconcilable conflict between the tobacco industry’s interests and public health policy interests.”
The tobacco industry “interests” have been accused of both knowingly driving addiction in developing countries and misrepresenting the function of filters.
This week we learn that BAT faces charges of sanctions busting. Why do we tolerate this awful industry that causes people to take up scarce hospital beds?
Given Covid-19 targets the lungs, it’s not a big leap to suggest that smokers are likely to be disproportionately affected once they catch this damnable virus.
More lies – and to be honest, I guess 99.99999% of the world couldn’t care less who or what creates a vaccine to cure COVID-19!
The WHO yet again showing complete and utter ignorance and disregard for health – the very thing they’re supposed to be fighting for.
As I keep on saying – shame on all of them.
