I am actually really excited to review the Vozol D2 disposable pods.
Last month I reviewed the Vozol D1 Disposable pods. I didn’t have any high expectations but by the end of the review, they managed to score an impressive 9.5/10.
Please note: This product is not available in the UK as it does not meet TPD regulations. So only available for readers outside TPD regulated countries.
There will be references to the D1. You will be able to read and understand this review, without having read the D1 review. But if you do want to read….
Lets do a little recap, Vozol started out at the end of 2018 and they are “committed to providing healthier and innovative solutions” for adult smokers.
Let’s see what’s changed.
What Can We Expect From The Vozol D2?
There is a few differences between the D1 and D2. The first difference is my expectations. I didn’t have many (if any) expectations for the D1 but after using them I now have some pretty high expectations for the D2 pods.
The first Major difference is that the Vozol D2 is a dual flavour per pod system. Now this is massively open to interpretation (my imagination went wild).
What that actually means is each pod contains 2 flavours, 2 mouth pieces and 2 air holes… in one small case. The Vozol D2 is the first pod systems to have 2 separate flavours at the same time.
They are only available in 50mg (5%) nicotine. This of course makes it unavailable in TPD areas due to the maximum nicotine strength being 20mg.
The battery life and puff expectation has been bumped up-to 370 mAh and 500 Puffs respectively. They also have a shelf life of 12 months.
OK, these were sent for the purposes of review, thank Vaporl, as always my thoughts are my own!

Design & Build Quality
The Vozol D2 pods are very well built and look pretty smart.
When you remove the pod from the box it’s sealed in an airtight packet, with easy rip indents.
Inside that packet the pod is protected by a “Dust Plug” in each mouth piece and an “insulation sheet” in the bottom of the device. The insulation sheet is in place to cut down on battery drainage before first use.
The Vozol D2 Pod
Made out of durable plastic the Vozol D2 comprises of 2 parts.
The main part of the body which is really smooth and shiny and the bottom section which is more like a matte finish.
The edges and “joins” of the device are nice and smooth with no “rough bits”.
On the front of the device is the Vozol logo, in a colour which represents the flavours.
The reverse tells us what flavour is on which side. Again in a colour which represents the flavours.
The “mouth pieces” are on the top corners of the device. Which works pretty well, as they are smooth and create and nice shape and size mouth piece.
The device can’t stand up… because it doesn’t really have a “base”. Usually this irritates me, but it doesn’t with the D2 for some reason. I think it is because it looks a little bit like a flat shiny pebble.
Inside is home to organic cotton, Dual coils and a 370mAh battery.
I couldn’t help but dismantle the device to see if it had one or two batteries. It has one…Please note, the device is not designed to be dismantled.
Rattling
I hear rattling… I don’t think it’s a major thing, (the devices aren’t designed to last). On 2 out of the 4 systems, when you shake the devices they have a noticeable rattling.
Visually
The brand name is quite big on front of the pod, I know big branding puts some people off but I think it would look a bit blank without it.
LED Indicator
The bottom on the device is host to 2 white LED indicators (one for each flavour). Although you wouldn’t know, because they are quite elegantly placed inside the airflow holes.
When you take a puff the corresponding LED lights up.
When the Flavour has finished the corresponding LED flashes 3 times. If both sides have finished, both lights flash 3 times.
The LED isn’t easy to see while you’re using the device because of its location. If you want to see you will need to vape in front of a mirror. How irritating.
Airflow
The airflow has a slightly restrictive pull. A restrictive Direct to lung (DTL) vape is possible although I wouldn’t recommend it, due to the high nicotine.
As stated above, the air hole also houses the LED indicator.
The device isn’t airtight, in the way that when you cover the airhole, it doesn’t full cut off the airflow.
Quick Start
- Remove the pod from the air tight packet.
- Remove the rubber plug from the mouth piece.
- Remove the white insulation sheet from the bottom.
- Enjoy
Quick and easy, just how I like it!
When you take your first puff you might hear/feel a little pop, this is the the system activating, nothing to worry about.
When the battery runs out the led indicator flashes 3 times and the pod produces no vapour.
When the pod runs out I’d recommend giving it 5-10 minutes and then try again.
I found the pods sometimes have a little more to give.
How do the Vozol D2 Disposable Pods perform?
In total there is 8 flavours, they are not all my thing, and some are more prominent than others.
I didn’t get a single dry hit while using the pods.
Some of the flavours are the same as the D1 pods. Green Apple has been removed, Sweet strawberry, Vanilla Cream and Iced Latte have been added.
With that in mind it is no surprise that pods are very much like the D1 in flavour production and flavour retention.
The favours are quite prominent but I found I got used to the flavours (I couldn’t taste them as much) after 5-6 puffs.
Having said that, after not having a puff for 10-15 minutes the full flavour returned.
As previously stated the Vozol D2 Disposable Pods contain Nic-Salt E-liquid; which provides a smoother hit from the high nicotine content.
Refreshing Mint – The Classic
This flavour, as with the D1 pods, is a bit of a let down.
It is certainly more menthol …without any mint. However it is very refreshing and acts as a good alternative to the American Tobacco which is in the other side of the pod.
Note: For those of you that have read the D1 review, I’d like to put it out there, that the Mint in the D2s doesn’t have a plastic taste.
American Tobacco – The Classic
If the taste of cigarette smoke is what you’re looking for, Vozol have got your back.
This flavour doesn’t taste like tobacco or herbs, like so many do, it actually taste like cigarette smoke.
Cool Melon – Iced Summer
With Melon flavours; the majority are a little too sweet and sickly. With this melon the hint of menthol is super complementary to the flavour.
It is refreshing and not sickly, in-fact it’s mouth-wateringly good. The flavour is prominent but doesn’t flood the mouth although it does stay in your mouth for a fair while after vaping.
Iced Mango – Iced Summer
I ‘sit on fence’ when it comes to mango flavours, they’re often really mango-ey. Silly I know, but I don’t like that real sweet, soft mango taste.
This flavour, however, is perfect! The mango taste is prominent (but not too sweet) and menthol kick makes it really refreshing.
Blueberry Bomb – Merry Berries
I don’t think this is the same Blueberry bomb, that is/was in the D1s. The D1 Blueberry Bomb was minty and I said it tasted like mouthwash.
This isn’t the case, there doesn’t seem to be any menthol in it at all.
The flavour isn’t very prominent, however you can taste the hint of blueberry. I’m not impressed.
Sweet Strawberry – Merry Berries
Strawberry is another flavour that I am funny with.
I love strawberries, but not strawberry flavoured sweets… This flavour tastes like a strawberry Sweet.
It is quite prominent and although I don’t like it, I can see it is a strawberry many people will like.
Vanilla Cream – Yummy Blast
I’ve never been a fan of vanilla cream, sorry.
However, credit where it is due, the flavour is definitely Vanilla Cream. It is prominent and the flavour lasts well.
Iced Latte – Yummy Blast
Gorgeous! A perfect, lovely, sweet and creamy coffee.
The menthol coolness complements the prominent flavour very well. Although, I have to say, after several puffs the flavour starts to taste a little bit different.
I don’t know how to explain it… It’s a little bit like the last bit of latte in the bottom of the cup. Of course, the flavour doesn’t actually change, just my perception of the flavour.
Battery | Pod Life
Vozol advertise the pods will/should provide 400-500 puffs. This is quite specific, usually disposable pods only give a ‘Maximum Puffs’.
For those of you that have read my past disposable pod reviews, I’m sure you will be expecting me to have my click counter in hand.
Not wanting to disappoint, I got to work.
I counted the puffs on 3 of the devices (all except The Classic).
Iced Summer
This pod lasted for 329 Puffs in total.
I counted 164 puffs on the Cool Melon and 139 Puffs on the Iced Mango but then I tried both flavours again later that night and I got another 20 puffs from the Cool Melon.
Yummy Blast
This lasted for 624 Puffs in total.
I counted 328 puffs on the Iced Latte and 296 Puffs on the Vanilla cream.
Merry Berries
This pod lasted for 420 puffs in total.
I counted 237 Puffs on the Sweet Strawberry and 183 Puffs on the Blueberry Bomb.
Conclusion
Except from the Iced Summer, that’s pretty impressive. The D1 pods had a similar high level puff performance. So, I’m going to edge my bets, and say the Iced Summers poor performance was probably just an unfortunate device.
Vapour Production
The Vozol D2s has a similar amount of cloud production as you would find from a cigarette.
I think its quite an impressive amount especially for such a little pod, that is technically hosting 2 systems.
Leaking
Although none of the flavours leaked or “spat” liquid, I did notice that there was often a noticeable (but not huge) amount of liquid around the mouth piece or on my lip after taking a few puffs.
This may be due to the shape of the mouth piece, I’m not sure I couldn’t work it out.
Pros
- Decent flavours
- Decent battery
- High Nicotine
- Conveniently small
Cons
- They are disposable
- Excess Liquid after puffing
Final Verdict
I found the little Vozol D2 disposable pods to be both innovative and cool!
It’s an interesting concept and it works pretty well. I personally prefer the D2 pods over the D1.
As for the con I found. While not ideal, I don’t think excess liquid after puffing is that much of a big thing, especially on a disposable device.
