I must admit I’ve never heard of Vozol.
That surprises me because they launched at the tail end of 2018 and currently have over 400 employees. Maybe it’s because Smok, Uwell and Vapefly are busy dominating the market with their own pod kits. Maybe that’s why Vozol fell off my vaping radar?
So the Vozol Cora Mini review should be an interesting one.
Their focus is fixed on producing pod mods, kits and disposable pods for vapers around the world. Vozol want us to “vape different” with kits that are “better than best”. A brash and bold statement and one to be reflected upon in the review summary.
There’s nothing wrong with being innovative and that’s something Vozol are striving to achieve. Yet innovation holds less and less relevance with each pod kit, especially so moving into 2022.
What will always be of relevance is how well products perform. We’re going to take a closer look at the Vozol Cora Mini and test it for flavour, vapour production, ease of use, portability and reliability during everyday use.
Innovation can play second fiddle today! lol
What Can We Expect From The Vozol Cora Mini Pod Mod?
The first thing that springs to mind with the Vozol Cora Mini would be portability. It’s a tiny, lightweight pod that slips easily into a bag or shirt pocket.
The pods are refillable but ultimately disposable too.
Given the power of the battery expect the device to work for anything up to eight hours under moderate vaping patterns.
Pods of this ilk are generally MTL exclusive but Vozol also provide the option of a restrictive direct lung vape.
In the words of the creators themselves, ‘mini size, max vapour’. Just how much vapour is that?
Let’s find out.
Vozol Cora Mini Pod Kit- Inside the Box
I must admit the packaging is neat and tidy. I’m not too sure what’s going on with the imagery but I’m sure Vozol do!
There’s an embossed image of the pod kit standing in front of what appears to be some kind of alien bird thingy.. Answers on a postcard, if you will. lol
Anyway – sitting in or around the plastic inner tray we find:
- Cora Mini battery
- Cora Mini refillable pod
- Type C USB charging cable
- User manual
- Warranty card
Vozol Cora Mini Pod Kit – Key Features
As well as max vapour it’s designed for max pleasure. Every part is described as precisely crafted to satisfy everyday fantasies about pods..
Made from Aluminium Alloy with an imitation Alligator grain finish the Vozol Cora Mini is designed for portability and comfort.
The pod includes an exclusive VAMT (no idea what that means?) mesh coil that brings a longer lasting and more satisfying flavour. A flavour that’s intended to last 50% longer than other similar pod kits.
Seaweed fibre cotton is used for its absorption efficiency. It looks like the pod can be filled anything up to twenty times before degradation kicks in.
Rotating the pod inside the battery section will allow the vaper to switch between a MTL (Mouth To Lung) or RDL (Restricted Direct To Lung) vape. We tell you what these terms mean in our Guide To Vape Styles.

Vozol Cora Mini Pod Kit – Design and Build Quality
The Rotating Pod
Dimensions: 33.6(H) x 20.5(W) x 12.5mm(D)
The pod is made from the usual toughened PCTG plastic with a clear mouthpiece, ergonomically designed for comfort during use.
Remaining e-liquid levels are visible through the frosted window of the pod.
Inserting the pod into the battery section is easy enough. It just snaps into place and doesn’t rely on magnets for connectivity. The pod can rotate or fit either way making it fool proof. That’s not the only reason though.
At the base of the pod there’s a notch cut out. When aligned with the airflow slot on the battery it provides enough air ingress for a restrictive direct lung hit.
Dual 2.5mm airflow intakes sit directly beneath the mesh coil supplying a ‘default’ MTL vape.
The fill port opening on the side of the pod measures around 4.5mm making it more suited to 10ml TPD bottle types.
Removing the wrap around silicone stopper is easy enough although a bit fiddly when resealing.
Just make sure it’s firmly in place before attaching the pod to the battery section.
How To Fill the Vozol Cora Mini Pod
- Lift the pod out of the battery section
- Gently pull back the silicone stopper on the pod
- Insert the juice bottle nozzle into the fill port opening
- Fill the pod with e-liquid taking care not to overfill
- Push the silicone stopper back into place ensuring a firm seal
- Snap the pod back into the battery section
- Leave the e-liquid to soak into the cotton for around five minutes prior to vaping

The aluminium alloy material does well to keep the weight down. It’s still a tough and durable build and will no doubt handle a few knocks in its lifetime.
I like the design. There’s branding at the top with an alligator skin pattern beneath a V shaped groove.
I’m not sure why the pattern stops on the sides of the battery. It could have just continued around. I feel it cheapens the overall aesthetics.
A single MTL pin hole airflow slot is punched on one side. As alluded to earlier, rotate the pod for a MTL or RDL vape.
The USB port features at the tapered end of the battery meaning it’ll need to be charged in a horizontal position. The device is capable of free standing but not for long!
A useful tip! Remove the pod from the battery while charging and stand it in an upright position. This may prevent one side of the cotton drying out and potentially causing a dry hit.
No one likes a dry hit.
How Does The Vozol Cora Mini Pod Kit Perform?
I used Frumist Arctic Roll Dessert, a 50VG/50PG e-liquid with 10mg nicotine salt to test the pod for flavour and vapour production.
How did the pod respond when flipped into MTL position?
It wasn’t as tight a draw as I’d like to be honest and flavour replication was a bit on the dull side. Some of the sponge cake filters through and there’s enough sweetness but the fruit content is sorely lacking.
Vapour production is suitably thin and wispy, about what I’d expect from a 1.0ohm resistance coil. It does a meaningful enough job at replicating the draw from a cigarette.
Flipping Pods!
I have to be honest. Flipping the pod into restrictive lung mode does little to alter the airflow. Extended inhales tend to pull on the neck muscles but vapour production does improve.
Given the resistance of the coil, the vapour production is actually quite good in RDL mode.
As to replicating an arctic roll?
Not really..
The raspberry is more noticeable but the bakery notes become too broad, flat and tasteless.
It’s also odd to have a fruit devoid of any real sweetness. It only serves to produce a dry vape and one shy of its key ingredient.
I can flip the pod either way and nothing really works. It’s just a weird mish mash of incomplete flavour notes. A mere shadow of what this juice profile is all about.
Vozol Cora Mini Pod Kit – Final Review Summary
The Vozol Cora Mini Pod Kit functions perfectly well. Auto draw is sensitive and responds to the lightest of pulls. The battery holds up well enough and 450mAh gave me around eight hours of continuous use.
There’s no LED functionality with the insertion or removal of the pod, which is a bit of a shame but it responds well enough during the charge cycle.
It doesn’t replicate a classic mouth to lung vape even with the pod rotated in that position. I found the draw to be too slack and loose. The restrictive direct lung vape works perfectly fine – that’s exactly what you’ll get.
I just found flavours to be on the dry side and a bit lifeless in all honesty. Even menthol vapes seemed to lack the cutting edge sharpness and clarity I would expect.
Of course the portability and ease of use is there in abundance. It’s what any new vaper will be looking for. Is it likely to hold their attention? Doubtful.
As a starting point it just about gets the job done but with so much competition out there it’s likely to be replaced sooner rather than later.
‘Better than best’? Not today, I’m afraid.
