This time I’m going to be taking a look at the Voopoo VMate Infinity Edition pod kit.
Voopoo have made great strides over the years and have firmly planted themselves as one of the top vape brands in the industry today.
Over the years Voopoo have given us many excellent kits from the Drag 3 to the Argus GT II and VMate 200w! The VMate Infinity Edition follows hot on the heels of the recently review Voopoo VMate E, which we found to be an excellent vape.
What Can We Expect From The Voopoo VMate Infinity Edition?
This kit is available in 5 colours: Fancy Purple, Golden Brown, Shiny Green, Gradient Blue and Dark Grey.
With a nicely presented battery case that has clean lines the device has an auto draw vape capability of up to 17W.
With the help of the new GENE.AI chipset, the internal 900mAh battery will deliver an all day mouth to lung vape.
The VMate Infinity is compatible with cartridges between 0.7 to 3Ω resistance.
What is glaringly obvious to me is the VMate Infinity Edition is basically a, re launch of the VMate Pod Kit that Voopoo released back in 2021 and was reviewed by our dearly missed friend, author and editor Neil Humber!
Albeit this kit has some slight modifications, which I’ll get to later, but basically to me the VMate Infinity is the same device.
This product was sent to me direct from Voopoo, for the purpose of review! Thank you.
As always my views and thoughts are my own after considerable testing period.

Design and Build Quality
Right before I start, this kit is due to be released soon and Voopoo have only put out basic info of this kit. So if my review is slightly inaccurate I am sorry!
I was sent a sample of the standard 3ml version in “Fancy Purple”, the TPD version is of course 2ml.
The device comes in a minimal packaging and includes a type C charge cable and user manual sealed in a plastic bag.
VMate Cartridge V2
Voopoo include one of the new pod cartridges with this kit – the 0.7Ω.
The pod is refillable and has a side fill port and like most pods the fill port is covered with a silicone bung. This also has the Ohms of the coil moulded into it.
It features a non replaceable coil, once the coil is at the end of its natural life you will have to purchase a replacement pod.
The VMate V2 pod airflow is handled by a couple of small holes on the bottom of the cartridge.
The cartridge is made of plastic and has a smoky appearance build wise is very good quality.
Throughout my testing I have received a constantly fair flavour as well as a good vaping experience. Apart from a little condensation, I have suffered no leaks into the pod bay from the cartridge.
In fact my only gripe with the pod/cartridge is that Voopoo only sent one cartridge with the kit for me to play with lol.
The mouth piece feels great in the mouth. It is also antibacterial and designed to be ergonomic to allow you to have a safer and more comfortable vaping experience.
The pod/cartridges for this kit are also cross compatible with the soon to be released VMate E and the older V Thru Pro Kit!
Voopoo VMate Infinity Edition Device
This device measures in at around 95mm tall with the pod in place. The width of this device is 25mm and with a thickness of around 10mm.
The VMate Infinity edition has aluminium alloy casing and weighs in at 90g so is very pocket friendly.
From The Top
The pod bay contains the normal spring loaded gold contact points and the pod is a press fit design that stays in without magnets.
Both front and back of the device have a lined decoration with printed branding. One side is printed with “Voopoo”.
While the other side is printed with “Gene AI”.
Both the sides have a one very small airflow hole that can also be seen inside the pod bay.
Nearer to the bottom of one side the LED indicator shines through an infinity (∞) LED symbol. This will light when puffed, but will also let you know of the battery condition as well as being illuminated when on charge.
You will find the Type C Charge Port on the bottom of the device for charging the 900mAh internal battery.
Basic Quick Start Guide
Voopoo VMate Cartridge V2
- Locate the fill port bung and fill the Pod/Cartridge with E-liquid.
- Let the cartridge stand for about 3 minutes before puffing for the first time. This is so the cotton can soak up more e-liquid and not burn out your coil.
- Place the cartridge into the pod bay within the device and your good to go!
Voopoo VMate Infinity Device
Make sure the device is fully charged before 1st use! This device came to me with the battery completely flat!
The VMate Infinity device is auto draw meaning there is no fire or on and off button to push – just suck away to vape!
Battery Light Guide
- 100 to 60% Green
- 80 to 20% Blue
- 20 to 0% Red
Note if the battery is too low the device will not function.
Puff Lights
- Red, Blue and Green – depending on your battery level
Charging Lights
- Red, Blue and Green
Note: When fully charged the green light will stay on.
This device has 6 built in protections.
- Overtime
- Short Circuit
- Over Charge
- Low Battery
- Output Over Current
How Does the Voopoo VMate Infinity Kit Perform?
For this review I will be filling the 0.7Ω pod cartridge with 11mg Titan “American Red Tobacco” liquid from Totally Wicked.
Voopoo VMate Infinity Pod Kit – In Use
I’ve said in the past I’m not a great lover of small auto draw devices, or come to that pod kits in general, as my preference is for something that is bigger and has a bit more oomph to it!
I have to say though the VMate Infinity Kit does function just as it is advertised.
While the device has a great feel in the hand, it does however get lost in my large hands lol.
Even so, I was impressed with the draw. Whilst it’s a little tight for me personally, it has a smooth draw resulting in a fair flavour and vapour production!
Battery Life
The 900mAh battery lasted me pretty much all day. I have been using the pod with 11mg Freebase Nic liquid, if used with a 20mg Nic Salt Liquid the kit would make a great replacement for disposable vapes, in the long run its cheaper to.
Pros
- Quality and Design
- Good battery life
- Comfortable in hand
- Fair flavour and vapour production
- Beginner friendly
- Smooth airflow draw
Cons
- The kit only comes with one pod cartridge!
- The airflow is a little too tight for me – but I guess MTL vapers might like it.
- The device came to me with no charge!
Final Review Verdict
As an update to the original VMate Pod Kit (I never owned one but going by Neil’s review) not a lot has changed, it even has the same size battery. However, the VMate Infinity is definitely heavier and now includes battery indicator lights.
Plus Voopoo have updated and refined the pods to use their new ITO system.
Voopoo’s new slogan for this kit is “Vaper Mate, Pure Taste” and in my opinion only – if this kit has a pure taste I didn’t detect it lol.
Personally I don’t share my vapes (like so many others don’t I would imagine) so is an antibacterial mouthpiece worth it? Personally for me no, but a nice touch all the same.
Would I recommend the Voopoo VMate Infinity Edition?
This kit would be great for those new to vaping and for those who want to get off of the disposable vapes or cigarettes. I think most MTL vapers would be happy with this one, so “Yes”.
Would I buy this device again due loss or damage?
I can’t say this is the device for me so in that respect “No” although I’d use it and be happy at a pinch.
Mrs J is happy as she has inherited another kit!
