The VapX Meteor Mod is the latest release from the new company who recently gave us the Geyser, Geyser 1.5 and Geyser S kits.

I think it is fair to say that VapX like to try something different – with varying levels of success!

What To Expect From The VapX Meteor Mod…

The main feature of the mod is the quick charge system.meteor charging

When you buy the initial kit it has a USB Type C charging port and cable but the charging rate and time is not specified.

However if you buy the Supercharging base apparently the mod can be fully charged in 10 minutes at up to 10A charge rate! The base supports PD3.0 and QC3.0 charging protocols.

QC3.0 is a system which is usually found on smartphones and provides a tailored charge rate depending on battery voltage which is also adjusted during the charging cycle for the best performance. Older QC systems had fixed output rates whereas the QC3.0 can vary the rate.meteor fb pics

PD3.0 which stands for “Power Delivery” and goes hand in hand with later Type C USB charging and delivers either a high voltage + low current or High current + Low voltage quick charge system. Also PD3.0 allows for power transfer in both directions such as for use in a power bank. Data transfer between devices allows for recognition of type of battery and specifications to tailor the charging rate accordingly.

So that is how the Meteor can be fully charged so quickly!meteor battery

Inside the mod is a 2000mAh battery and the output is 5-80W. I am assuming this is with a variable wattage control but user modes are sadly not mentioned.

The mod itself should be pretty rugged as it has IP68 rating for being Waterproof, Shockproof and dust-proof. This is a higher rating than most vape devices which have a IP67 rating. IP68 means that the device can withstand deeper immersion in water – in this case VapX specify 8 metres.meteor ip68

As for other device features sadly the website is vague, no mention of type of screen, user modes etc.

It took me a few years to fully quit smoking but I finally stopped in June 2019 and that is all thanks to vaping! 20mg Nicotine Salts are my hero! Oh and I am partial to a nice pod mod and Bubblegum e-liquid! I have reported on the latest news on Ecigclick since 2017 and love being part of this great team!
