Vaporfi Vex 75 Mod – Elegant, Simple Lines and a Tough Skin – But How Does it Vape?
The Vaporfi Vex 75 TC mod is what you’d call a mid-range vaping device that’s suitable for both beginners and more experienced vapers.
It hits up to 75watts which for many out there is more than enough wattage and fires as low as 1 watt which whilst no-one [do they?] vapes that low it means this mod is suitable for both MTL and DTL vaping.
Note: MTL = Mouth To Lung similar to smoking – DTL = Direct To Lung sub ohm vaping.

It comes in two colours black and the stainless steel version I received and I have to say it’s a compact and smart looking device.
But most importantly – how does it vape?
Let’s take a closer look.
As always my thoughts and opinions are mine.

Key Features
The Vaporfi Vex 75 can handle pretty much any atomizer you throw on it – so long as its 22mm unless you don’t mind overhang – and can operate in both temperature and variable wattage mode.
Saying that, and for those of you who like full power all the way, you can also opt for bypass mode which basically chucks everything the battery has for as long as it can.
It’s packed with safety features including:
- Over-Discharge Protection
- Over-Charging Protection
- Over Current Protection
- Reverse Polarity Protection
And I guess another key feature is its size – it’s slim and compact but with a bit of weight to it.
Design and Build Quality
Yeah it’s a VaporFi vape device so you just know the build is going to be superb and the Vex 75 is no different.
This is well built device that looks as if it will take some knocks and almost feels scratch proof.
One of the weakest points of some mods I’ve reviewed has been the battery door – but just like its big brother – The Vex 150 – the latch and hinges are rock solid and look like they’re built to last – a decent amount of venting too.
Design wise I would describe the look as ‘classical’ with clean lines extremely clicky buttons that look as well as feel wonderful and a very clean and crisp OLED screen.
I wasn’t a fan of the boxier [much wider] Vex 150 design wise – but the clean look of the Vex 75 is extremely pleasing to the eye and the brushed stainless steel looks and feels good.
How Does the Vaporfi Vex 75 Perform?
I have to say it performs extremely well with the Vaporfi Grand Reserve vape juice, especially topped with the Venom RDA also from Vaporfi.
I had a 0.2ohm build and there was just the slightest – we’re talking a few nano seconds – pause before the coil fired.
Compared to the same coil and RDA on the Smok AL85 the Vex 75 hit quicker and for me any way seemed to hit harder at lower wattages.
Indeed whilst preparing for a few e-juice reviews I was using this set-up and very happy with it I was too!
As for temp control I popped on the tiny Innokin Slipstream tank – which actually looks quite cute on there – and with a pretty much juiceless coil I could feel the device firing but the cotton check showed minimal browning and no dry hits or burn taste.
Based on that ever so simple test I have to say it performed well.
It’s been out and about with me a few times and taken a couple of knocks however the chassis is showing no signs of scratches.
Its simple almost elegant lines means not only would this look good if you’re vaping in your Sunday best – but it’s tough enough to take to work.
Battery life is good too and in MTL mode at around 19 watts I was getting a day and half – whilst just under 7 hours constant use at 67.7 watts.
All in all it’s a good looking tough little cookie that I’ve enjoyed using.
What I Like
As I’ve already mentioned I do like its clean design and those buttons are literally a joy to click!
The intuitive simplicity of the menu is refreshing as is the overall build quality – VaporFi do make solid products that are built to last.
I don’t have the tools to measure the actual ‘hit’ but I reckon with this you are getting exactly what you pay for – what I mean by that is if it says 75watts – it’s hitting at 75watts.
I also used this with the JacVapour S-22 tank for a bit of morning MTL vaping and it was equally happy at 19.7 watts.
So yeah I actually like this little guy and highly recommend it both to newbies and old vaping timers.
What I Don’t Like
Not a lot really – though if I was nit-picking I’d raise the same point as I did with the Vex 150 – the bottom of the device can feel a tad uncomfortable in the hand.
Sure the edges are slightly rounded – but given I’ve never done a day’s hard graft in my life [I’m more the arty type] they can dig into your palm a little.
I know I know – hey I guess I’ve used a lot of “Mild Green Fairy Liqquuiiiid” over the years lol.
Other than that minor and I mean minor niggle it’s a smart little mod.
Final Review Verdict
The Vaporfi Vex 75 is a great little vape mod that both beginners and more advanced vapers will enjoy.
There are just enough features packed into its stylish compact body to keep everyone happy and it certainly vapes well in both lower and higher wattage.
Sure it can only really take 22mm atties – but as I said topped with the Venom RDA it looks and performs really well indeed.
The brushed stainless steel really does look good and would match up equally well with work clothes or your best suit and despite having a bit of weight to it – it slips nicely in your pocket or bag.
Yeah I like this and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it – especially now VaporFi has slashed its price 😉
Pros
- Sleek and compact
- Well-constructed
- Temp – variable wattage and bypass modes
- Strong safety features
- Crisp screen
- Extremely clicky buttons!
- Elegant simple design
- Great price!
Cons
- 22mm wide so no big atties
- Edges on the base can be a little ‘scratchy’ on soft hands 😉
the screen looks exactly the same as VTC mini or the Cuboid (mini) by Joyetech.
I’m wondering whether it’s fw upgradable, and if so, it’s compatible with Arctic Fox.
