USA based VaporFi has developed a massive fan-base with both their vape devices and vast selection of their very own Vaporfi e-liquids.
I was lucky enough to review a sampling of their Vaporfi Speciality e juice by Cosmic Fog last year and I was pretty impressed – which given I’m a bit of a ‘grumpy’ e-liquid reviewer [lol] says something about the quality I suppose!
VaporFi has Smashed it with the Grand Reserve Premium E-Liquids
So to be asked to take a look at the Vaporfi Grand Reserve line had me wondering if they knew what they were letting themselves in for given it takes something special for my taste-buds to get excited.
I’ve been given so called Grand Reserve e-liquids in the past to taste [not from VaporFi] and have been pretty unimpressed if I’m honest.
However and insert *drum roll here* – let me just say before we get going that I LOVE these juices. Up there with the best vape juice for me!
Yup!
The five flavours kindly sent to me free of charge for the purpose of this review came direct from VaporFi and are bloody gorgeous!!!
And no *sighs* this is NOT a paid for review at all – indeed please refer to some of my other e-liquid reviews for clarification on that issue!
OK, on with the review. I received 5 x 30ml bottles with 70/30 PG and VG – you can get nic levels from zero right up to 18mg.
I used the Augvape Druga and the Doge 3 RDA’s with a fresh wick every time at a variety of wattage.
Meringue O Tang

OMG I might just have found myself a top five e-liquid of all time with this absolutely delicious flavour!
I was expecting more of a pastry flavour – lemon meringue pie – but as you can see from the description this is a donut and oh my goodness have the Vaporfi blenders nailed this one!
Just the right amount of sweetness allowing the zestiness of the lemon to tickle those taste buds.
This is so moreish the 30ml bottle lasted just 3 days – stunning stuff!
VaporFi Island Frost

I Say:
I do like a good tropical fruit flavoured e-liquid with more pineapple the better and this one is NO exception – despite a back note of mint!
Off the bat I have to say the smell from this one is bloody gorgeous sending your senses to a Caribbean beach and a fruity refreshing punch!
The mint is way in the background giving the tropical fruits a real lift.
Definitely an all day vape and trust me this is one that will remind you of summer holidays – lovely!
VaporFi Rainbow Custard

I Say:
I’m not much of a custard flavour vaper…However…
Once again the magical mixologists over at VaporFi has succeeded in creating a what at first glance might be an over sweet vape into one that I could happily vape on all day – OK make that all month!
The creaminess of the vanilla custard is balanced out beautifully by sweet strawberries before a zingy whack of citrus notes gets those taste buds tingling with delight!
I liken this to a trifle without the sponge and trust me I adore trifles – this is an amazing vape absolutely gorgeous!
VaporFi Grand Reserve Catch Ya Latte

I Say:
As coffee flavoured vapes go – this is one of the best I’ve ever tasted. (Jonny – Me too! Tastes just like a Latte!)
On the inhale an intense coffee/espresso hit slaps you in the kisser before the nuttiness smooth’s things out with just a hint of the sweetness to come.
As your brain registers this isn’t a cup of Joe the exhale gives you a gorgeous creamy caramel sweetness that gives the impression you’re chomping on a nutty coffee toffee.
The perfect breakfast or after dinner vape – however given its intense richness not one I could vape all day – but still bloody delicious!
This e juice was also an award winner at Vape Summit USA!
VaporFi Grand Reserve Havana Beach

I say:
I vape tobacco e liquid flavours every day – especially first thing in the morning – however given I MTL vape those – I prefer ones with high nicotine and a hard throat hit.
The Havana Beach came in 3mg and of course the throat hit wasn’t there BUT I found myself taking lung hits and very nice it was too.
It was a smooth, if a little too mild flavour for me on the inhale with just the merest hint of coconut and the suggestion of caramel.
However on the exhale the Cuban cigar flavour kicks in though not in any way harsh.
Personally I’d have preferred the cigar first to be washed away with the sweeter notes – but still a juice I’d most definitely MTL at a higher nic level.
VaporFi Grand Reserve Maui Menthol

I say:
OK, and again I have to reiterate that I don’t do menthol vapes – unless I have man flu lol.
However *drum roll* – this is bloody delicious and then some!
First hit and your brain doesn’t quite freeze because before it can a rush of juicy exotic fruits dances a samba on your tongue which is not only a taste sensation but absolutely wondrous!
Whilst your tongue is fizzing and the flavours are still bursting around your mouth the exhale brings a sweet delicate fresh mint that cleanses the palate leaving your senses begging for more!
This is one of the best tasting e-liquids I’ve ever had – absolutely sensational blending and talk about Moorish – yum!
VaporFi Grand Reserve Cloud Candy

I say:
After looking at the samples I received I plumped to go with this one first – mainly because I dislike pomegranate [so get that one out of the way first lol].
However and yeah another *drum roll* – I emptied this bottle first in a day and a half.
Here in the UK we call cotton candy – Candy Floss which given it’s spun sugar can be extremely sweet – however the blending on this juice is again spot on.
It’s sweet as you like on the inhale with a momentary pause before those fruity gummy bears have a picnic on your tongue.
That sugary fruitiness is then washed away by the slightly sharper and certainly less sweet pomegranate which in this particular e-liquid is delicious!
VaporFi Grand Reserve Pineapple Pow

I say:
On my favourite beach in Goa there’s a lovely old fruit lady who sells ultra-fresh pineapples, which when the temperature hits the high 30’s is the perfect refresher.
The moment I opened this bottle I was whisked away in my mind to those sunny shores – the smell is divine.
Taste wise this e-liquid is up there with the best 5 juices I’ve ever tasted – the Pow factor indeed.
Having never tasted hibiscus I can only say it may be there in the back note as I detect the slightest perfume – but not in a chemical way – this tastes so natural it’s untrue.
Did I get a sense of sensuality?
Is this the Viagra of e-liquids?
Dunno about that but I’ll tell you what this is now firmly placed in my rotation of ADVs [all day vapes] – bloody gorgeous!!!
Final Thoughts
If the fabulous five flavours I’ve tried are anything to go by – the rest of the Vaporfi Grand Reserve range should be as good or maybe even better.
There are a couple there I’m definitely going to have to try.
Look, as I’ve already made clear I have a discerning palate – particularly when it comes to aged malt whiskey 😉 – and I like to think I tell you guys how it is before you hand over your hard earned cash.
All I can say about these five flavours is any one of them would fit into my idea of how an e-liquid should taste and vape.
They are beautifully blended complex flavours with plenty of vapour and so moreish I’ve had them under a week and am running on empty!!!
I would not hesitate recommending them – bloody lovely!
