So today we’re checking out the Vaporesso Luxe QS. But first, a funny story for ya.
So a few weeks back, my wonderful Post-Lady delivered some much welcomed Vape-Mail which of course I ripped open with excitement as always, and was welcomed by the Vaporesso Zero S Pod Kit. A super simple kit and of course I got straight to work with photography, unboxing and testing.
Fast forward a few days and the Vaporesso Luxe X and Luxe QS appeared through the door, in different packages. Now, somewhere along the line, Vaporesso contacted me and asked me to review some of their recent products, whilst at the same time, clearly contacting the Ecigclick team welcoming them to review some of their products.
Long Story short – One of the three products was meant for my YouTube channel only, whilst the other two were meant to be written reviews for the Ecigclick site, which of course, most times I attempt to record a YouTube review for also (Thanks Ecigclick)
But what happened? I did a written review for the Vaporesso Zero S, and not the Luxe QS. I had done the wrong written review! D’Oh!
So to put it bluntly – You’re welcome Vaporesso, we hope you enjoy the free review that ya didn’t ask for and I hope you appreciate the EXTRA TIME I’ve put in.
It’s a good job the Ecigclick team seem to like me cos I wouldn’t be too pleased if one of my employees did 2 evenings extra work for a client, for nothing!!!!
Anyway where was I? Ok – The Vaporesso Luxe QS is what I should have reviewed, so here it is!
What Can We Expect From the Vaporesso Luxe QS?
Vaporesso are very well clued up when it comes to Pod systems!
They’ve certainly improved over the last 2-3 years and pretty much all their small scale systems are high quality with decent battery life and competitive performance. I expect the Luxe QS to be no different.
The Luxe QS houses a 1000mAh battery which is rechargeable with a 1 Amp charge.
The kit comes with two different Mesh pods, a 0.6Ω and a 1.0Ω. But there is also a 0.8Ω and a 1.2Ω pod available so plenty of choice. Each of which offer a slightly different style of vape, from a Restrictive Direct Lung (RDL), all the way to a tight Mouth To Lung (MTL) vape with the 1.2.
We tell you what the terms RDL and MTL mean in our guide to vape styles.
There are 6 colour options to choose from including Black, Blue, Flame Red, Lime Green, Silver & Sunset Violet. I received the Lime Green variant which has a nice Teal to Lime Green fade.
So let’s crack on with the review and see what the Vaporesso Luxe QS is all about.
This kit was sent to me free of charge for the purpose of review.

Design and Build Quality
First off, the striking feature of the Luxe QS is the shiny, holographic style panel on the front which glistens in the light! Add that to the Teal to Green fade and it’s a nice looking small bit of kit.
The rear of the pod has a Silver wave effect which offers additional grip thanks to the texture.
Also at the back of the pod is the USB-C port for charging and the device offers a 1 amp charge-rate which is more than acceptable for the 1000mAh battery
At the base of the device are the usual safety stamps along with the battery capacity.
On both sides of the device, there are 2 small holes, however three of which are filled, with only one hole actually open allowing airflow. Controlling the airflow is done by rotating the pod which allows for a loose, or tight draw. This will also differ depending on the pod resistance you’re using.
The Pods
The two pods that are included in the kit have a 2ml capacity, are clear in colour and the resistance is stamped on the bases of the pods.
Filling the pods is completed by snapping the mouthpiece off carefully, and filling through the leak-proof valve.
Removing the pod from the device is as simple as just pulling out and when the pods are fitted, they neatly click into the device.
In the Hand
The Vaporesso Luxe QS is a very small form factor pod system making it lightweight and portable, but for its size, it has a decent weight and feel.
The footprint of the device is fairly small and as much as it stands on its end no problem, it would only take a small knock for it to fall over.
Vaporesso Luxe QS Quick Start Guide
How To Fill the Luxe QS Pod.
Here’s how to fill the pod with e-liquid:
- Gently crack off the mouthpiece
- Insert your e-liquid bottle tip into the red valve – the hole on the side is to allow air to escape.
- Fill with your desired e-liquid
- Re-fit the mouthpiece.
- Leave the pod to sit for 5 minutes to allow the e-liquid to saturate the coil.
Vaporesso Luxe QS Functions
The Luxe QS has no screen, and no adjustment buttons, meaning there is very little to worry about, simply plug and play.
The automatic draw system allows for a button free experience and only a small LED indicator is apparent when charging and vaping. Also when you pop the pod into the kit, the indicator with flash for a second.
When vaping, the device’s LED indicator will glow different colours depending on the battery level:
- Green = 70-100% Battery Capacity
- Blue = 30-70% Battery Capacity
- Red = 0-30% Battery Capacity.
How Does the Vaporesso Luxe QS Perform?
For my testing of both pods, I made use of Giant Strawberry by Darkstar. It’s a Long-fill Nic-Salt at roughly 14mg and is basically a straight up Strawberry flavour with no cooling.
The Vaporesso Luxe QS is primarily an MTL device, but according to their documentation:
“The device has two different airflow options, when the notch is aligned with the airflow hole of the battery, it provides a loose-MTL vaping experience. Otherwise, it provides a tight one”
So let’s see if they’re right!

The 0.6Ω Luxe Q Pod
Loose MTL setting – Yes it’s certainly a loose MTL, but not too loose. The draw is tight enough for MTL but also about right for a tight RDL draw. However a little too tight RDL for me.
Flavour wise it’s very nice – the vape experience is smooth and quiet with a fairly decent cloud. I’m picking up the expected flavour however the vape is a bit on the cool side.
Tighter draw setting – Once the pod is rotated, for sure it offers a tighter draw, it’s not hugely noticeable but enough for it to be almost impossible to enjoy an RDL draw. The warmth is improved and the flavour is just as acceptable as it is in Loose MTL style.
The 1.0Ω Luxe Q Pod
Loose MTL Setting – Surprisingly the restriction in the draw is very similar to that of the 0.6Ω pod in the same airflow setting. And the flavour is pretty much just as good. The vapour production and throat hit is slightly weaker but it’s still a comfortable loose MTL or RDL draw.
Tighter draw setting – This one hits the spot for me, for sure this offers a subtle vape, not very cloudy and not very punchy but the restriction is perfect for me. A tight draw and very smooth. Flavour is pretty good too.
Airflow
Although I’ve never been a fan of devices like this, that offer limited options with regards to airflow – I’ve been fairly impressed with the changeable airflow on the Luxe QS. I do however wish there were more options but with the 4 different pods available – I’m sure you’ll find your sweet spot.
The airflow noise is quiet and smooth across the board regardless of which pod you use.
Battery Life & Charging
The Luxe QS 1000mAh battery is more than acceptable and is likely to last at least 24 hours. For me, with the 1.0Ω pod in use, I comfortably get 2 days battery life, but the 0.6Ω pod got me into the second day, but needed recharging by lunchtime.
Does the Vaporesso Luxe QS Leak?
I’ve been impressed with the Luxe Q pods as they’re very unlikely to leak, unless of course you leave the pod for a few days without use. Then you might notice a small weep inside the device. But this is where proper maintenance and ensuring you remove the pod when not using for a few days comes into play.
So overall – yes it leaks, but only when left for a few days without use. So I can’t complain.
Pros
- Good build quality
- Easy to use
- Nice vape experience on either pod
- Decent flavour
- Good battery capacity and lifespan
- Responsive Automatic draw system
Cons
- Cracking the mouthpiece to fill is just annoying
- Can barely see e-liquid level without removing pod
- Limited airflow adjustment options
- Unable to replace the coils – Bin the pod when dead.
- No power output options.
Final Review Verdict
The Vaporesso Luxe QS device is almost as simple as they come and I would highly recommend this to someone who’s been vaping on disposables as it’s a perfect step up from disposables. Yet this device is limited in a number of ways which may deter people from picking it up.
Would this device be long lasting and still work 3, 6 or even 12 months from now?
I’ve no concerns over the durability of pretty much any Vaporesso device, the Luxe QS is well built and performs very well. For sure, the battery capacity will diminish over time which may be what kills this device within 12 months, but I would expect that due to its high build quality, and regular maintenance, this device should last very well.
Does the Vaporesso Luxe QS deliver the flavour, vapour and general experience I require, in order to be enjoyed?
As a compact MTL device which is super simple to use, I’m pretty sure it will be enjoyable for most.
Is this device versatile to suit a new vaper and an experienced one alike?
As above – I’d 100% recommend this device to a disposable vaper as a Better option, longer lasting, better build quality and more options than a disposable product

Or have you given it a try?

I have been using the Luxe Q religiously for 2 yrs now and about to upgrade to the QS.
Upon sending my husband to buy the Luxe QS due to my conflicting schedule, he brought me the Zero S, instead. To say I was highly disappointed is lightly putting it. What I have been searching for is a comparison of the 2 devices or rather which one is better. I already know I’ll be pleased with the Luxe QS but does the Zero S even compare?? I use 48mg salt nic, 1 small bottle lasts a little over a week.
Any input would be cool. And I have read your reviews on both devices. Just can’t figure out if the zero S is comparable in how it hits to the luxe QS. THANKS for your time…and thanks for the thorough reviews.
I purchased this after smoking disposables for way too long and couldn’t justify the cost. With a good flavour nic salt liquid I can definitely say this is on par with a disposable and I can see myself ditching the disposables now. I have tried various products but this one stands out, I tried the minican aspire + but wasn’t a fan, various smok products too but the battery on this one stands out as the most long lasting and also definitely up there with a better looking device!
