Today I’m sampling a few vapes on the new Vaporesso ECO Nano pod kit.
Please note: This product is not available in the UK as it doesn’t meet TPD regulations – so is only available for readers outside TPD regulated countries.
Vaporesso were established back in 2015 with one clear goal – to establish a smoke free world for users through innovation and experience.
Well, over the years they’ve certainly demonstrated both as well as consistently releasing excellent products such as the Xros 3, Luxe XR and Zero S pod kits.
Through rapid expansion they now lay claim to 5 world leading laboratories all heavily focused on nicotine satisfaction, flavour and device performance.
All under the umbrella of Smoore – the world’s leading vaping device provider.
Today, I’m going to test out their latest pod kit – and it looks to be going head to head with the current wave of disposable vape devices flooding the vape market.
It’s the Vaporesso ECO Nano pod kit.
What Can We Expect From the Vaporesso ECO Nano Pod Kit?
It’s very pleasing to be reviewing another simple to use pod kit.
It may just be me but it looks like more and more manufacturers have seen the impact of disposable vape devices on a global scale and realised that’s what the majority of new vapers crave.
Simplicity.
That’s what we’re getting with the ECO Nano pod kit. No screen, no adjustable airflow or power settings and no replaceable coils. You can instantly see the appeal and similarity to a disposable vape, can’t you?
So the device is powered by a 1000mAh integrated battery, supplying constant power to the sealed 0.8ohm mesh coil for anything up to 3 days on a single charge. We’re assured of fast 1A type C USB charging – something I’ll be testing out, of course.
COREX Tech
Vaporesso hasn’t supplied details on the coil material itself but I do know it’s the unique “Morph Mesh” structure and proprietary cotton of the fabled COREX tech.
This means we should be guaranteed even and rapid heating for a smooth and flavoursome vape. With improved efficiency, the pod’s lifespan is said to be increased by up to 50%.
Oh! By the way – expect anything up to a whopping 13,000 puffs from a pods worth of E-liquid.
Another area to fully investigate methinks!
Seal, Saturate and Store
The pod itself is detachable to allow for bottom filling and the version I have holds 6ml of E-liquid. Yes, there is also a TPD compliant 2ml version available so expect to be filling that more often.
Because the coil is sealed inside the pod, Vaporesso once again employ seal, saturate and store (SSS) technology. So that no drop of E-liquid is wasted to condensate.
Auto Draw and Fixed Airflow Structure
Returning to the simplicity of the device and auto draw is the order of the day. A single LED illuminates while vaping to show current battery strength and also serves to alert of any issues the pod kit is encountering.
There’s no airflow adjustability so expect either a very restrictive lung hit (RDL) or decent MTL vape. The power of the coil and airflow structure mean the ECO Nano will be highly suited to 50VG/50PG E-liquid ratios. We tell you what the terms MTL and RDL mean in our Guide To Vape Styles.
.. Now might be the time to reach for one of those flavours designed to emulate the experiences of a disposable vape!
I’ll let you know how I get on as we progress.
Vaporesso have really gone to town with a host of colour schemes on offer.
Pick from Black Truffle, Universal Grey, Phantom Blue, Sakura Pink, Sunrise Orange, Sunset Gold, Sparkling Purple, Midnight Black, Ivory White, Foggy Blue, Summer Yellow, Peach Pink, Creamy Purple and Spring Green.
Inside the Box
Vaporesso have used Eco friendly packaging for their new release, reducing plastic pollution. Highly commendable.

Vaporesso ECO Nano Pod Kit – Design and Build Quality
It fits in the hand fairly comfortably but pales in comparison to similar shaped disposables such as the Lost Mary range for example. However, let’s not forget the increased battery and E-liquid capacity.
So those two factors alone mean a reduction in portability in comparison to a disposable vape. The device is still very light, having said that and I’m more concerned with flavour and performance anyway.
Battery Section
Although unspecified it looks like we’re dealing with a Zinc Alloy body with a gradient spray coat paint finish. I’ve got the Black Truffle colour and it looks quite impressive.
The edges of the battery section are slightly bevelled but rounding them off would’ve added another degree of comfort.
On the underside we find the type C USB charging port. Aptly recessed since the device is more than capable of standing freely on any surface. However (and yet again) you obviously won’t be able to charge in a vertical position. It is what it is.
When removing the pod, two large magnets can be seen within the battery section. An indication that the pod is reversible. Always a plus! This area is also home to two Gold Plated spring loaded coil/battery contacts and an air restrictor tube.
Pod Section
I was actually quite shocked when I first clapped eyes on this. It’s like a pod on Steroids – the Daddy of all pods!
You may be pleased to learn that it’s fully transparent so all remaining E-liquid is viewable. Great stuff! Of course, it’s made from the usual toughened PCTG material and more than capable of a few knocks here and there.
The clear mouthpiece is heavily restricted to facilitate a MTL draw and two grooves have been cut on either side of the pod to allow for the passage of airflow to the coil.
A reason why the battery section is devoid of any pinhole slots.
Filling is achieved via the underside of the pod. I have to say – this is one of the thickest Rubber stoppers I think I’ve ever come across. It’s also highly manageable.
The opening measures 6mm which means more than enough space for any type of bottle nozzle.
Speaking of filling the pod..
Quick Start Guide – Vaporesso ECO Nano Pod Kit
How To Fill the Pod
If this is the first time you’re filling the pod, remember to remove the coil protection sticker on the underside. It’s there to prevent idiots like me from dry vaping an empty pod while testing airflow restrictions! lol
- Remove the pod from the battery section
- Lift the fill tab at the point of the arrow marking
- Push the E-liquid bottle nozzle through the fill port opening
- Gently squeeze E-liquid into the fill chamber until full
- Replace the fill tab ensuring a good, firm seal
- Drop the pod back into the battery section
Let the E-liquid soak into the COREX cotton for around five minutes before taking your first vape.
How To Charge the Vaporesso ECO Nano Pod Kit
- Connect the smaller end of a type C USB charging cable into the bottom of the battery section
- Connect the larger end of the cable into a suitable USB outlet
I only have one design quibble and that’s with the LED.
We only get a White indicator. Whether that’s another nod to single colour LED’s on disposables? Could well be but I sorely missed the usual Green, Blue and Red indicators as the battery passes through stages of discharge.
There isn’t even a flashing White indicator for when the pod is removed or replaced.
The great thing is it takes exactly one hour to get the Vaporesso ECO Nano back up and running again. Even if this seems too long and it’s your only device it’s still possible to vape while charging.
Fast type C charging at its best.
The White LED remains lit during the charge cycle and simply switches off when ready to rock and roll again.
Safety First
The Vaporesso ECO Nano pod kit may be vaping at its easiest but that doesn’t stop it from potentially failing. Here’s what to look out for.
- Low voltage – LED flashes White three times and the device stops working
- Over charging – White LED switches off and the device stops charging
- Over vaping (12sec) – LED flashes White three times and the device stops working
How Does the Vaporesso ECO Nano Pod Kit Perform?
The kit comes with the 0.8ohm mesh pod but we’re assured a 1.2ohm alternative is on the way.
The latter is likely to be better suited to 50VG/50PG E-liquid blends but since I wanted to test the Vaporesso ECO Nano as an alternative to disposable vapes, I used that ratio with the included pod.
So I used Dinner Lady Lemon Tart with 20mg salt nicotine included.
OK so my first impressions were that the airflow was a tad loose for a classic MTL experience. I was losing more vapour to my surroundings than inhaling so the correct restriction just wasn’t there for me, personally.
Despite that, the auto draw sensitivity was on par responding to the lightest of tugs at all times.
.. Can’t complain about that.
And the flavour quality was also very, very good consistently delivering with every vape. You’ll also be pleasantly surprised at how quiet the inhale is. Turbulence doesn’t exist with the ECO Nano.
So of course, me being a RDL (Restrictive Direct Lung) enthusiast I had to give it a whirl.
Absolute perfection in a vape and the experience was so much more than I was expecting.
Copious amounts of cloudage with volume and density that really shouldn’t be allowed from a humble starter kit.
And the flavour simply spilled from the exhale. I got plenty of sweetness, a zesty and realistic Lemon Curd and even the bakery and pastry notes were clean and well defined.
There’s even a modicum of warmth generated by the efforts of the Morph Mesh coil. I think that demonstrated how effective it was at heat distribution across the material.
Battery Performance and Number of Puffs
Please note: These findings were concluded after using the factory charge (straight out of the box).
Let me try and keep this as simple as I can.
The battery lasted for a staggering 15 hours and fifteen minutes. During this time I estimate to have vaped 2.5ml of E-liquid. As far as I’m concerned, that represents excellent coil efficiency.
This initial charge harvested 1,100 puffs. If we draw comparisons to a disposable vape holding 2ml of e-liquid, the Vaporesso ECO Nano is capable to the equivalent of 900 puffs. Considerably more. All good stuff!
Of course I needed to see how long it would take to consume all 6ml of E-liquid. The pod was dry after an amazing 25 hours and 45 minutes. The battery was still going strong from the first recharge.
So I managed a total of 1,850 puffs from the 6ml pod.
In theory this means the pod can be topped up a further 6 times before needing to be replaced. That’s if the grand total of 13,000 puffs is to be achievable.
Pros
- Lightweight and pocket friendly
- Incredibly easy to use
- Excellent flavour and cloud production
- Reversible pod
- Massive fill port opening
- All remaining E-liquid is visible through the pod window
- Zero leaking – and I mean zero leaking!
- Conservative E-liquid consumption
- Sensitive auto draw
- Fast one hour type C USB charging
Cons
- Average MTL vape style – A bit too loose for my liking (subjective)
- Only one LED colour so no monitoring of the 1000mAh integrated battery
- LED not great in direct sunlight
- Unable to charge in a vertical position
Final Review Verdict
You might possibly be disappointed by the MTL experience from the pod but I highly doubt you’ll feel the same way about flavour and vapour properties. It’s there by the vape load and highly consistent throughout use.
20mg salt nicotine is as smooth as you’d expect while MTL vaping and 50VG/50PG ratios are ideal with the pod. I did, however also run 70VG/30PG blends through the pod and I’m here to tell you they’re just as effective!
And I also tried E-liquid blends specifically designed to emulate the flavour experience of a disposable vape. The Vaporesso Eco Nano again rises to the challenge here and I was hard pushed to tell the difference between the two vaping devices.
I ended up using 50VG/50PG blends with 3mg freebase nicotine. I was in my element RDL vaping and in all honesty that’s how I spent most of my time with the kit.
The battery performance and flavour consistency throughout is unparalleled. I had a whale of a time with Dinner Lady Lemon Tart and the ECO Nano delivered the goods continuously. Without any issues at all.
I strongly urge you to consider this device if you’re struggling with the price of disposable vapes. If you’ve become used to those flavours there’s a multitude of bottled E-liquid now available that can replicate the experience.
And in my opinion the Vaporesso ECO Nano pod kit is the ideal place to start.
It performs absolutely flawlessly.
