What Can We Expect From The Vampire Vape Heisenberg Nic Salt Range?
“Now, say my name…”
Much like its Pinkman counterpart, Heisenberg was conceived as a limited edition special e-liquid for Vapefest 2014. But it was such a roaring success that both the Heisenberg and Pinkman e-liquids are still best sellers almost ten years later!
Famously coloured Blue, Heisenberg continues to win awards for the best menthol e-liquid in the Ecigclick awards year after year. It is still a staple all day vape for many vapers out there. “It may be Blue, but it’s the bomb…”
The original Heisenberg is a mixture of Red berries that boasts an ice cool crystal kick blended to a 40/60 VG/PG ratio. It is now available in concentrate form, shortfills and in 10ml bottles alongside the Heisenberg nic salt range that we are reviewing today.
Heisenberg Nic Salt takes the essence of the original Heisenberg and blends it with four different fruits. They have created a range of four e-liquids that put a different, playful twist on the original Heisenberg e-liquid.
This range is blended to a 50/50 VG/PG ratio and uses nicotine salt to provide a satisfying nicotine hit with a smooth throat feel. Strengths available are 10mg and 20mg making these a great pairing for a refillable pod kit.
This range is also available with freebase nicotine instead of nicotine salt and also as a concentrate if you like to mix your own e-liquids at home!
Before I start this review off, I must mention that as with any e-liquid, taste is subjective. In my review I will write up my own thoughts on my experiences with each e-liquid. Your experience may differ, as people have differing palates, preferences on taste and different vaping set ups which can offer a totally different flavour experience.
Vape Club sent over the 10mg versions for review and I vaped them in my Voopoo Argus E40 refillable pod system with a 0.6ohm pod, and in my SXMini Puremax with a 0.8ohm pod.
Heisenberg Orange
They say
Heisenberg Orange nic salt e-liquid by Vampire Vape fuses the popular Heisenberg blend of fruit and menthol with a sharp citrus layer. Sweet mixed berries, tangy orange and an icy cool note combine throughout each puff.
We say
With the original Heisenberg flavour I would get a mixture of different fruits with a slight touch of Aniseed and some menthol.
Part of the appeal of this e-liquid was that people seemed to get different flavour notes out of it. It is a bit of an enigma!
I felt that orange was a welcome addition to the original blend. It adds a zingy, citrus element that blends in well with the mixed fruit and menthol notes, as well as a sharp sour kick too.
Orange is a simple addition but one that actually feels quite at home here for me.
Heisenberg Gum
They say
Heisenberg Gum nic salt e-liquid by Vampire Vape puts a sweet twist on the classic fruit and menthol flavour of the original Heisenberg vape juice. The sugary notes of Bubblegum combine with bold berry flavours, followed by a cool exhale.
We say
A couple of vapers I knew that swore by the OG Heisenberg e-liquid used to say that they thought it tasted like a mixed berry gum, so I was interested to see how this one panned out.
I personally didn’t think that about it, but I know they weren’t the only ones!
So, with the addition of Bubblegum flavouring, this makes Heisenberg taste like a Mixed Fruits Chewing Gum to me and the menthol just adds to this effect!
The addition of Bubblegum flavouring adds quite a thick texture to the flavour profile of this e-liquid and underpins those mixed berry and menthol elements. It’s a good Bubblegum flavour too. If I close my eyes I could imagine myself chewing away on a piece of gum!
Bubblegum isn’t my favourite thing to vape but I actually really didn’t mind vaping away on this one. I think the addition of Bubblegum does suit the Heisenberg flavour profile.
Heisenberg Grape
They say
Heisenberg Grape nic salt e-liquid by Vampire Vape features a cool and sweet fruit medley. The juicy taste of grape combines with the classic mixed berry and menthol fusion of the original Heisenberg flavour.
We say
With this one, the grape blends in with the mixed berry flavours but I did feel that the grape was just a touch too sweet and candied for my tastes.
After the grape and mixed berry combination, the breezy menthol washes in, providing a nice biting chill to this e-liquid.
This isn’t something I could vape all day long, mainly because of the candied grape flavouring which isn’t really my thing. But my wife absolutely loves grape flavoured e-liquids and she quite happily vaped the rest of the bottle of this!
Heisenberg Cola
They say
Heisenberg Cola nic salt e-liquid by Vampire Vape is a sweet and cool blend. The sugary taste of cola combines with the fruity berry and frosty menthol blend of the original Heisenberg flavour.
We say
At first, I really didn’t think the addition of Cola would go well here at all. I couldn’t work out where it would fit with that OG Heisenberg blend. But obviously I had to vape it to try out!
And much like Heisenberg’s product, I was hooked from the first puff. The addition of Cola actually really works here. It provides a fruity Cola drink taste and the menthol really adds to that effect too thanks to the chill that it provides.
Hats off to Vampire Vape for the Cola flavour too. This is more of a realistic cola drink flavour than a Cola sweet. Just needs a little bit of fizz to round it off completely!
Out of the four from this range, this is the one that I could definitely vape away all day on and buy again – but the Heisenberg Orange ran it close. Addictive stuff!
Final Review Verdict
“We used a different, chemical process but it is every bit as pure…”
At this point I’ve run out of Breaking Bad quotes to slot into this review!
I gave the Pinkman nic salt range high praise for enhancing the old favourite. Now Vampire Vape deserve props for what they have done with Heisenberg here too.
They pay homage to a timeless vaping classic with some playful blends that still allow the original Heisenberg flavour to shine through. And each one of these additions actually feels right at home with the OG flavour blend.
As with the Pinkman range, these have been released on the ten year anniversary of the release of the original Heisenberg. They offer a fresh new take that vapers old and new will enjoy.
If you loved the original Heisenberg flavour then you will want to get all over these!
