This is the Uwell Zumwalt Pod System – hot on the heels of some of the more recent Uwell pods the Crown Pod, Koko pod and one of my favourites the Caliburn.
The name “Zumwalt” could refer to a Middle German word for a forest dweller.
Also it is the name of guided missile destroyer, which explains all the battleship and aircraft images!
What To Expect From The Uwell Zumwalt Pod System?
So at first glance this looks like typical pod mod fare – battery and removable pod.
The pod is refillable via the fill port below the mouthpiece but the coil is fixed. Which means that when the coil is past its best you will have to discard the whole pod and replace with a new one.
Inside the pod is a 1.2ohm coil and has the “Pro-FOCS” technology which is found on the likes of the Caliburn and Koko devices which gives great flavour.
The pod fits into the battery part of the kit and there is an internal 520mAh battery.
Charging is taken care of via the Micro USB port on the base but I have not seen charging rate or time mentioned.
Output wise this will output up to 13W and is not adjustable.
To fire the device a sensor is activated when you inhale on the pod. On the Zumwalt the air pressure sensor is separate from the actual vapour outlet on the mouthpiece to prevent short circuits from slight e-liquid leaks and condensation.
An LED indicator displays the battery charge remaining.
There are 4 colours to choose from: Blue, Red, Gold and Purple.

Let me know what you think of the Uwell Zumwalt Pod System in the comments below!
Hope is tighter than Caliburn/1.2 pods..Max pod excellent but still little airy, the Podin has adjustable but coils don’t last..look forward to review
