The Thunderhead Creations Mech Boro Mod has some interesting features whilst also being compatible with Boro tanks!
Thunderhead Creations are not the loudest vape brand, but have kept in business steadily knocking out popular products such as the Tauren range of Mech Mods and Rebuildables.
What To Expect From The Thunderhead Creations Mech Boro Mod
A Boro tank is a type of tank originally found on the likes of Billet Box all in one devices. A feature of these tanks is the fact they are compatible with many devices plus you can change the tank base (Bridge) to allow for rebuildable or coil head compatibility. For instance you can get Bridges for Voopoo PnP coils, Aspire Coils etc.
Also to add more versatility this has multiple methods of power.
You can use this as a Semi-Regulated mod by installing the “X-Chip” or use it as an unregulated Mechanical (Mech) mod by keeping the chip out. We have a guide on Regulated and Mech mods here.
From what I can see using a 18650 battery you can use in Mech or Regulated mode. However with a 20700 / 21700 you only have Mech mode. I assume the X Chip won’t fit with the larger battery installed.
The website is very vague, for instance the output is not specified and also any user modes or indicators. It does not appear to have a screen. From what I can make out the chip is basically for protection and does not offer any power adjustment?
Plus it is ambiguous whether any kind of tank is included? It just says “510 build deck adaptor / insert”? Which looks the same shape as a Boro tank and has the 510 connection at the top but doesn’t appear to have a deck or hold any e-liquid?
But the kit also includes a coil leg trimming tool and what looks like Grub screws and Allen Key which would perhaps indicate there was some kind of rebuildable deck? But again who knows?
A wrench is included to unscrew the 510 connection from the top of the tank to remove the tank also it doubles up to remove the battery cap.
You can choose from 3 colours – Matte Black, Gun Metal and Electric Blue.

I do find it a bit sad that there doesn’t appear to be a Boro tank included? Also it is a shame that the website is pretty vague in places.
