I once described Sam the Vaping Bogan as the closest thing we have to a rock star in this crazy world of vape of ours – and I stand by that!
At his first UK Vaper Expo, every single time he stopped, a crowd would gather around him – and I mean a crowd!
A year later and he was back, and this time as he stood at the bar chatting to a few of us, I looked around thinking the queue for the bar was getting ridiculously long.
I then realized 100s of vapers were waiting to have a word with him! All in a well ordered line – it is the British way after all lol.
And to his eternal credit, and for the rest of the 3 days, he stopped, chatted, had photos taken and signed more autographs than a boy band among a group of teenage girls in heat
…like I said, the guy is a bloody vaping rock star and then some.
Last time I saw him he was behind the Vaper Expo Dovpo stand promoting his awesome Odin 250c mod – and yeah the crowds queued for more of the same.
The Vaping Bogan has also managed to find the time to design some quite outstanding vape gear: the Vandy Vape Bonza RDA [I loved that!] – the Dovpo Blotto RTA – the Odin 100 21700 Mod and the more recent Odin Mini mod.
Given the current shit show down under regarding vaping, as you’ll see Sam has become a passionate vape advocate as this video in his usual colorful style shows:

Sam is also a multi-award winner clinching top spot in our own EcigClick Vape Awards for a couple of years running.
Whilst his co-designed Suicide Mods x Bogan Ether RTA has come second in this year’s Best Tank (Mouth To Lung Style Vape) category!

First a little bit about yourself – are you married – single – looking [lol] – and where are you based?
I’m married to my amazing wife Claire.
She helps me run the backend of the channel.
I couldn’t do it without her support.
We’re based in our hometown of Adelaide, South Australia.
We have two beautiful children who we’re raising in Claire’s childhood home.
How long have you been vaping, what made you quit smoking – and what was the first vape setup you used and did it work?
I’ve been vaping about 7 years now.
I quit smoking after 10 years of smoking when I started to really feel its negative impact on my health.
My first real vape (Cigalike not included) was a Joyetech ego twist with a Kanger Protank Mini.
Why did you begin vape reviewing?
I did one video for a laugh and it snowballed from there.
I certainly never intended it to become a thing, but I’m incredibly grateful it has.
What is the best and worst bit of vape gear you’ve ever reviewed and why?
It’s tough playing favourites.
While I couldn’t pick one best piece of kit, my favourite thing to review is mechanical mods.
There are a few contenders for the worst thing, but probably the chicken waffle flavoured juice I featured years ago.
Vaping is in a sorry state in your country right now – what is the future for the industry and how can vapers help and why?
The future is uncertain, like a lot of places, but we are gaining ground and support within the government.
The best thing people can do is to continually passionately and positively continue to fight for our right to a safer alternative to smoking.
Here in Australia, support for organisations like ATHRA and Legalise Vaping Australia is vital.
