In today’s e-Liquid review, we are taking a look at The Liq e-liquid range!
The Liq was founded by two friends who share a passion for vaping and CBD products and they have nearly a decade of experience in the vaping industry.
They have a mission to bring the best vaping experience to customers by using their vast understanding of market trends and consumer preferences.
What Can We Expect From The Liq E-Liquid Range?
This is a range of classic flavours curated and produced in the UK to provide consistent and superior taste, featuring fruity blends alongside tobacco and menthol.
The Liq uses advanced data analysis to develop flavours that resonate with their customers.
Market data and trends are analysed to craft e-liquids that mirror the most popular disposable flavours on the market today. By using this approach The Liq ensures that their products exceed the expectations of their consumers.
Each one is blended to a 50/50 VG/PG ratio and is available in strengths of 10mg and 20mg.
Nicotine salt is used in the formulation for maximum nicotine craving satisfaction with minimal throat hit. The range is designed for mouth-to-lung vaping in a refillable pod kit or low power starter kit.
I tested these e-liquids in my SXMini Puremax with a fresh 0.6ohm pod and my Voopoo Argus E40 with a 0.45ohm pod.
Before I get the review underway, I need to make you aware that this is based on my opinion only and my experiences vaping this range in my selected devices.
Your own experience may differ, as personal preferences and vaping setups used can affect your own perception of an e-liquid.
Many thanks to Vape Club for sending The Liq range over for review! Let’s see what it has to offer!
Pineapple, Orange & Mango
They say:
Transport yourself to a tropical paradise with the exotic fusion of ripe pineapple, tangy orange, and succulent mango, delivering a luscious and juicy medley of flavours that evoke images of sun-kissed beaches and swaying palm trees.
We say:
I’m definitely getting pineapple and mango as the two strongest flavours here, with orange as more of a background note.
Pineapple comes in at the start and it is a strong and full-bodied pineapple flavouring. Then the juicy mango flavouring comes in alongside a strong sweet note. The background note of orange adds a citrus, freshly squeezed orange juice styled tang to this blend.
There was a bit of a strange aftertaste to this one which let the blend down a little bit in my opinion, otherwise, this could have been a really good exotic blend!
Menthol
They say:
Refresh your senses with the crisp and invigorating blast of pure menthol, offering a cool and icy sensation that awakens the palate and leaves a lingering feeling of freshness with every exhale.
We say:
I do like a good menthol vape! At one point in my vaping life I spent months just primarily vaping menthol e-liquids!
What I look for in a decent menthol vape is something that is no-frills. But offers a crisp mint flavouring, a good layering of sweetness and a strong, robust cooling sensation that borders on brain freeze!
Thankfully, this effort from The Liq pretty much ticks all of those boxes, if only the cooling sensation was just a touch stronger.
The mint flavouring is definitely crisp and noticeable throughout. There’s perhaps just a touch too much sweetener and as mentioned, the cooling sensation could just be a little bit stronger.
But that is based on my preferences when it comes to menthol e-liquids, for most people this one will definitely do the job!
Triple Mango
They say:
Indulge in the triple delight of three distinct mango varieties – sweet, ripe, and tropical – creating a symphony of luscious flavours that transport you to a sun-drenched paradise with every puff.
We say:
Triple Mango e-liquids have exploded in popularity over the past couple of years and the market is absolutely saturated with them right now!
The Liq’s version does the job, but it doesn’t do anything really to stand out from a lot of the others on the market. However at £2.99 for 10ml it is cheaper than many others and one of the better ones that I have tried in that price range!
I couldn’t really pick out three different types of mango in this e-liquid. What I did get though was a lot of strong and full-on mango flavouring, with plenty of sweetener present. The mango flavouring tastes fairly realistic too.
If you like a strong mango flavour, then this one is worth a look!
Watermelon, Strawberry & Bubblegum
They say:
Immerse yourself in the nostalgic sweetness of childhood memories with this playful combination of juicy watermelon, ripe strawberries, and classic bubblegum, offering a fun and fruity vaping experience that will leave you craving more.
We say:
I wasn’t a massive fan of this one if I’m honest. I’m not the biggest fan of watermelon and bubblegum flavours as most of the ones I have tried have tasted too artificial for me.
This one also tastes very artificial. A strong candied watermelon note right from the start drowns out the strawberry flavouring. There’s a heavy sweet note to it as well that was a bit too much for me. The bubblegum undertone tastes pretty close to the real thing though!
Overall, it was a bit too artificial, sweet and sickly for my liking.
Cream Tobacco
They say:
Indulge in the rich and smooth essence of creamy vanilla intertwined with the robust and earthy notes of fine tobacco, creating a harmonious blend that satisfies both sweet and savoury cravings.
We say:
I was most excited about trying this one out as I do love a good tobacco vape.
The tobacco flavour here sits in the middle. It’s got a bit of depth to it but also offers a smooth vape, thanks in part to the vanilla notes. I taste an earthy flavour note, but it isn’t harsh and doesn’t have much of a throat hit.
Vanilla sits there as an undertone, adding a creamy flavour that gets stronger towards the end, almost like a creamy vanilla bean flavour. It’s blended well with the tobacco note, making for a most enjoyable vape.
If you are just getting into tobacco flavours or are switching to vaping from smoking, this one is a good starting point.
Strawberry & Kiwi
They say:
Embark on a journey to the lush orchards of New Zealand with the succulent taste of ripe kiwi, bursting with juicy sweetness and a hint of tartness, providing a refreshing and exotic vaping sensation.
We say:
Strangely, the official description from the manufacturer makes absolutely no mention of the strawberry flavouring, but this is most definitely listed as a strawberry and kiwi e-liquid!
This might be because the kiwi flavouring is the more dominant one here. Which is a refreshing change in my eyes and flips the script a little compared to a lot of the strawberry and kiwi e-liquids that I have tried in the past. Often they have strawberry as the most dominant flavouring.
I loved picking up on the kiwi notes from the outset, with a nice, almost watery tasting kiwi flavouring that has a good sourness to it. The strawberry blends in nicely, tasting more like an actual strawberry fruit.
One of the best Strawberry & Kiwi e-liquids that I have tried!
Lemon & Lime
They say:
Delight in the zesty and vibrant flavours of freshly squeezed lemons and limes, offering a citrusy explosion that is both invigorating and refreshing, leaving a crisp and tangy taste on the palate.
We say:
I found this Lemon and Lime blend to be a really strong one, hitting my palate with plenty of flavour!
It is also very sour too! One of the most sour lemon and lime blends that I have tried this year, which will be pleasing for some of you! Not quite cheek-suckingly sour, but it is definitely noticeable especially on the aftertaste.
In terms of the actual fruit flavours, this is like a lemon lime Ice Lolly. Which is pretty much in line with a lot of the lemon and lime flavours that I have tried recently.
Pineapple Ice
They say:
Experience a tantalising burst of tropical pineapple fused with a tangy twist, complemented by a refreshing rush of icy menthol, delivering a perfectly balanced combination of sweet, sour, and cool sensations.
We say:
Pineapple Ice is another flavour that is amongst the most popular on the market and there’s certainly a lot of different options to choose from at present.
The Liq’s effort is a very good one to consider, especially in the price range that it is being sold at.
Some of them can taste quite harsh and artificial but not so here. This does go for a strong, disposable style flavour but the pineapple flavouring is actually quite smooth and sweet, tasting like pineapple juice in my opinion.
The menthol is quite well balanced as well, providing a consistent cooling sensation throughout that gets stronger when you take a longer and deeper puff on this.
Definitely an enjoyable one and I got through the whole bottle in no time at all so I can safely say I enjoyed this!
Banana Ice
They say:
Satisfy your cravings with the creamy sweetness of ripe bananas, infused with a chilling breeze of icy menthol, delivering a smooth and refreshing vaping experience that is both fruity and cool.
We say:
I was really hoping for an authentic tasting, creamy banana flavouring here and not the Banana Foam Sweet flavour that I can’t stand!
Unfortunately, I got the dreaded Banana Foam Sweet flavour out of this one and a really strong and thick one too that tasted very artificial. It left me with a bit of a nasty, chemical-like aftertaste at the end.
The menthol could have been stronger too, as the cooling note is more of a subtle hint throughout the vape.
I know there are a lot of people out there that love a Banana Foam Sweet flavour, so I’m sure they will enjoy this chilled version, but it’s not for me thanks!
Final Review Verdict
It seems like these days, vapers have a lot of choice when it comes to solid, wallet-friendly e-liquid ranges and The Liq is another one to add to the list.
Yes, many fruity flavours here are similar to others on the market, but they don’t hold back on flavour and are competitively priced, so you get premium-tasting e-liquid for less.
I particularly loved the addition of the Cream Tobacco flavour, offering a change from all the fruity flavours!
