The V Scope From TECC
The Electronic Cigarette Company, part of the Totally Wicked e cig group, were one of the first vape brands in the UK and Europe to introduce e cigarettes to customers via their websites and numerous brick and mortar stores.
The V Scope is the first starter kit I have reviewed here at ecigclick although we have covered some of the Totally Wicked e-liquids in the past.
This kit was sent free of charge for the purposes of this review.

- 1 x V Scope Tank

Battery/Body/Build
So as you can see from the above list the V Scope comes with a fair bit of kit! The battery included is a 2600 mAh Samsung 18650 which will see in the heaviest of vapers through one or two days. The body of the e cig can also be adjusted to fit a 18350 battery.
This is done by removing the attached sleeve at the bottom of the body and screwing the extension into the body. I didn’t use the e cig with a 18350 battery but it’s always a great option to have if you want to shorten things by a few cm’s to make a more for a more compact device.
The actual V Scope itself is very sturdy piece of kit that has a nice weight to it. Add the silver matte finish that I had and it feels fantastic in the hand and without sounding too strange I actually enjoyed holding it!
The firing button is the only thing that breaks the aerodynamics of the body, it’s almost like a small cog as it doubles up as the voltage selector. Again though it has a firm quality to it when pressed and turned. The only real issue I had was making out the voltage settings, I had to tilt to get the right light for these to be clear.
The voltage selection runs from 3.3v to 4.8v, this could be a downside for some as they may prefer vaping at over the 4.8v mark. For my personal needs though this range is just fine.
The body has the now standard on/off function that is activated by pressing the fire button 5 times in quick succession. There is also a small USB connection on the side that allows you to charge the battery without removing it from the body as well as using it as a pass through device (you can vape whilst charging). Both of these are excellent features.
Spare Batteries / Replacements
If, like me, you like to have spare batteries then TECC sell the 18650 batteries separately.
Overall
The build quality of the V Scope is fantastic. It feels nice and weighty and is great in the hand. The maximum voltage of 4.8v may not be enough for some but I personally found it more than meets my needs. The ability to charge the battery without taking it out of the body and use as a pass through device is also a real plus point.
Vapour/Flavour/V Scope Tank Build
The V Scope BDC kit comes with a 3.7ml capacity glass tank with a 1.8oHm coil head built in. Again the tank build quality is very good and when on the body looks stunning.
The tank can be broken down into four pieces (drip tip – tank body – atomiser head – base) so cleaning is easily done.
The atomiser head is slightly different to others I have come across in that rather than screwing into the base it slots in, it did feel like it fit a little too snug at first but this just adds to the prevention of any leaks occurring, which I have to add I had none in the days that I used it.
The kit comes with a 10ml bottle of e-liquid of your choice ranging from zero to 36mg nicotine strength. I received the Titan RY4. Filling is the same as any other standard BDC tank in that you screw the base off and fill from the bottom. When the base is replaced the dual coil sits right at the base of the tank to ensure it’s always immersed in the liquid.
Flavour/Vapour
I started off on the lowest (3.3v) setting and worked my way up through 3.6v, 4v, 4.4v and 4.8v. As you would expect the cooler flavour was produced on the bottom end while it heated up nicely towards the top end.
I found the amount of vapour produced was excellent through out and the steps up the voltage settings didn’t return any dry hits at all even when cranked up-to the top setting.
The RY4 flavour also came through well getting a nice warm richness coming through over the 4v mark, my sweet spot with the V Scope was 4.4v. Very impressive.
There is also the chance to control the airflow and while this works well putting it into practice takes a bit of messing around. There is a screw on the side of the tank that can be adjusted with a micro screwdriver that is included with the kit. So not exactly a spur of the moment change unless you have the screwdriver to hand.
Replacement Coils / Tank / E-liquid
TECC have a huge array of e-juice to choose from with prices varying depending on quantities bought.
The BDC atomiser heads come in packs of 2. If you are buying a whole new V Scope tank they are also available to buy on their own.
Overall – The V Scope BDC Tank isn’t just a pretty face, it helps provide some great flavours and vapour volume and has a top quality build.

Overall – Final Thoughts
I had a great experience with the TECC V Scope VV E Cigarette and is a great device for new vapers or current vapers looking to make the step up-to bigger battery models. Here are the good and not so good points I found:
The Good:
- Superb build quality throughout and feels great in the hand
- Vapour volume and flavour very good.
- Battery can be charged without removing from the body
- Option to use both 18350 and 18650 batteries
The Not So Good:
- The airflow adjustment by screwdriver is a little too much messing around for my liking.
Final TECC V-Scope Review Verdict:
Excellent: Highly Recommended
