The Smok Rigel Mini kit as is implied by the name is the smaller version of the Rigel Kit.
As you can tell this version is a lot smaller and less powerful, but are there any other sacrifices?
What Is New On The Smok Rigel Mini Kit…
The kit consists of the new Rigel Mini mod and the existing TFV9 Mini tank.
So the Rigel Mini mod uses a single 18650 battery instead of the two batteries in the larger version.
A type C USB port is provided which can charge at up to 1.4A charging rate in case you get stuck with a low battery.
The 0.96in TFT colour screen displays your vaping data and the output is 1-80W which is adjustable.
I have to say the shape of the device reminds me a lot of the Wismec Reuleaux mods.
Included in the kit is the TFV9 Mini tank which has 2 capacity versions – 3ml is the standard size and 2ml is for TPD regulated areas. This tank is also used in the SCar Mini kit.
Now as usual Smok is confusing us with their coils – not a surprise is it!
Although called the “TFV9” Mini this tank uses coils from 2 different ranges. I am not sure if the rest of these ranges are compatible?
- V9 Meshed coil – Kanthal mesh 0.15ohm 40-90W
- V8 Baby Q2 coil – dual coils 0.6ohm 20-50W
The top refill cap is a slide open type which is also child resistant and the base of the tank features the airflow adjustment ring.
There are 5 colours to choose from: Silver, Black, Black / Blue, Black / Red and Black / Green.

Unusual for Smok to bring out a mini version of their kits isn’t it… I joke but this time having a single 18650 mod could be handy!
