The Smok Micare Kit is a strange little device which does on first glance look like the little Mico pod kit. Plus the name does remind me of something that would live on the “Feminine Hygiene” shelves in the supermarket…
However reading between the lines – this kit has been designed for use with “high viscosity Oil”. Sounds like they want you to vape some Castrol GTX with that terminology… Please don’t yeah!
Viscosity is another word for thickness or resistance to flow – treacle has a high viscosity where as water has a low viscosity.
I don’t think this simply means for high VG e-liquid – oh nope. I think this means for CBD E-liquid. One can only assume someone in the legal or marketing department has advised Smok against using the CBD word in their device description.
You can also tell this is tailored for CBD by looking at the cartridges you use with this kit.
Basically the cartridge is where the liquid (or as Smok call it “Oil”) lives and also the heating element. You can choose from Ceramic or Quartz heating materials – which again are recommended for use with CBD liquids.
You can refill the cartridges via the top fill however the coil cannot be replaced and the cartridge is discarded.
The cartridge is held into the device via magnets fitted to the base of the Cartridge. You get two in the kit.
There are also quite a few generic cartridges on the market which appear to have similar dimensions to the Micare versions. As long as the coil resistance and dimensions are similar you should be able to use these in the Micare kit.
Plus you may be able to use pre-filled CBD cartridges of the same style such as in my CBD Life kit (shown below) in the Micare. This will give you a lot better battery life than the “Cig-a-like” battery they usually are supplied with.
Talking of the battery – there is a 700mAh internal battery and you can choose from 4 power levels – 4V, 3.8V, 3.6V and 3.4V.
You do also have a “preheat” option which gently heats up the liquid for 10 seconds. Ideal in super cold climates or for very thick liquid.
There is an LED indicator and Vibrate function which inform you of power modes and preheat modes.
There are 6 colours to choose from – Resin = Blue & Brown, Blue & Black and Black & White. Cobra = Blue Cobra, 7 Colour Cobra and Black Cobra.

First of all let me emphasise – NEVER vape CBD OIL! You need to make sure it is CBD e-liquid or Vape oil. Standard CBD oil is not for vaping.
Smok should know better.
Do you think the Smok Micare Kit would be a nice upgrade to the basic “Cig-a-like” CBD pens or simply as a new device? Let me know in the comments below!
So we just bought these at our shop and they work really well but I’m trying to use the carts I buy from the medical place and they will not hit unless I use the preheat setting.
Most everybody who buys these batteries are not going to be filling their own carts most people by their carts pre-filled already and I’ve tried three batteries with several different carts and none of them hit unless I put it on the preheat mode and I can’t find anything online about this happening maybe because the product is so new?? Did you try using it with another cart other than the smok version?
Sorry this was a preview – just an article talking about a new device – we havent had this in for review yet sadly!

Same here, Lisa! I was told by the sales rep it could accommodate most cartridges that I had purchased before I got this new battery, but couldn’t get it to work!
That is strange as you would think as long as the cartridge is the same physical size and same resistance coil it should work?
Are the coils the same resistance as the Smok versions? I wonder if the mod is only designed to recognise a set resistance?
