In for review today is the Sky Hunter Twist Slim Pod Kit from Hong Kong-based Happy Vibes International.
4-in-1 prefilled pod system kits allows you to easily switch between four different types of flavours on the move.
Which means you won’t have to carry round extra e-liquids or pod kits if you like to swap your flavour during your day.
Also this means you can still comply with the TPD Regulations as each pod only holds 2ml.
What Can We Expect From The Sky Hunter Twist Slim Pod Kit?
One of the key selling points is that this kit can house four separate 2ml pods pre-filled with 20mg nicotine salt based e-liquid. You can mix and match the flavours if you so wish! So you are essentially carrying round up to 8ml of e-liquid in one device and can swap your flavour simply by rotating the device!
A 650mAh battery is built into the Sky Hunter Twist Slim and this is rechargeable too. Therefore this is more environmentally and cost friendly than throwaway disposable vapes, as you’ll be able to reuse it simply by purchasing new pods.
With a fixed Mouth-To-Lung (MTL) airflow, the device activates simply by inhaling on the device provides a draw similar to what you would get from a cigarette.
The 20mg nicotine salt present in the pre-filled pods provides a fast-acting nicotine hit similar to the one you would get from a cigarette.
There’s a massive range of different flavours available in the Sky Hunter pod range (I counted 21 on Vape Club’s website at the time of writing!) But these seem to be restricted to the fruit variety meaning that fans of dessert or tobacco e-liquids are probably going to be disappointed here.
Thanks go to Vape Club for sending in the Sky Hunter Twist Slim Pod Kit for review!

Design and Build Quality
Measuring in at 120mm x 30mm, the Sky Hunter Twist Slim is a pretty short yet chunky vaping kit. I’m not sure ‘Slim’ is the right term for it, but I’m sure Sky Hunter Twist Chonk probably wouldn’t sell as well!
That being said, it actually feels quite lightweight in the hand, which belies its appearance. It has a single colour theme on each kit, with a sparkly finish that becomes more apparent in the light.
There’s five different colours available, with Black, Navy Blue, Pink, Red and Silver. You’ll get different flavoured pods depending on the colour that you choose.
These are:
- Black – Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava, Blueberry Sour, Crazy Blue and Pink Lemonade pods.
- Silver – Icy Pineapple, Fresh Mint, Grape and Berry Lemonade pods.
- Navy Blue – Blue Razz Lemonade, Blueberry Raspberry, Cherry Lemonade and Blueberry Kiwi pods.
- Red – Strawberry Raspberry Cherry, Cherry Ice, Cotton Candy and Fizzy Cherry pods.
- Pink – Watermelon Ice, Lemon Lime, Purple Rain and Strawberry Watermelon pods.
I’m a fan of the fact that you get four different flavours of pods rather than four of the same flavour, so you can experience some different flavours right from the get go. And having 8ml worth of pods to start off with will keep you going for a little while before you need to order more!
A 650mAh battery comes built into the Sky Hunter Twist Slim, which is recharged via the USB-C charging port at the base of the device. On the top is a fixed mouthpiece which you simply inhale to fire.
Build quality isn’t the greatest, it does feel quite cheap. I had an issue where the metallic ring around the pods was quite stiff and hard to take off. Which wasn’t ideal when a pod ran out and I needed to change it over!
Quick Start
Out of the box, a single pod will be installed and the other three will be inside packaging.
You can fully load the device up with the three spare pods if you so wish.
- To do so you remove the outer ring and place each pod inside the system, making sure the pods are lined up with the contacts.
- After this, simply replace the ring and inhale on the mouthpiece to fire it.
- To switch flavours, just rotate the outer ring until the number and selected pod flavour aligns with the ‘twist and align’ symbol. You have to make sure that this is aligned correctly before vaping.
- If the device isn’t aligned correctly, or the pods are not lined up correctly with the contacts, the device will not fire.
- Once a pod is finished, simply remove it from the device and dispose of it.
Charging
At the base of the Sky Hunter Twist Slim is a USB-C charging port and a USB-C charging cable is included in the box.
During charging, a Blue LED will light up at the base and will blink off when fully charged.
There’s no way of determining battery life though when in use. The only indicator that I had that it was nearing time to charge was that the output would tail off and get quite weak!
Due to the shape of the device and the location of the charging port, whilst charging you’ll need to rest the Sky Hunter Twist Slim on its side, you won’t be able to stand it up.
Pods
There’s a wide range of 21 different flavours available through Vape Club, all of which are sweet, fruit and candy based flavours. I’ll go through the ones that I received with the Red kit for review, along with the four packs of different flavours that I was also sent.
Fizzy Cherry
They say
Fizzy Cherry Sky Hunter Twist Slim pods are inspired by the popular sparkling beverage. Dark and juicy Cherry notes are met by an equally sweet, fizzy flavour from Soda, recreating the taste of the classic drink.
We say
The Cherry notes in this pod are pretty tasty, albeit this tastes more like a Candied Cherry than an artificial one.
I’m not sure where the fizzy Soda notes are in this, after the Cherry flavouring comes a heavy note of sweetener. Fizzy Cherry isn’t all that bad if you like a sweet Cherry vape, just don’t go expecting any fizz!
Cotton Candy
They say
Cotton Candy Sky Hunter Twist Slim pods feature a classic confectionery flavour. Sweet and sugary notes of Cotton Candy are present from start to finish.
We say
I didn’t get anything from this other than the overwhelming taste of sweetener. I get that Cotton Candy (Candy Floss) is basically just a load of sugar, but there’s no real flavour or depth to this at all apart from a giant cloud of sweetener!
Strawberry Kiwi
They say
Strawberry Kiwi Sky Hunter Twist Slim pods feature a simple fusion of both garden and exotic fruit. Sweet Strawberry and juicy Kiwi notes can be tasted from inhale to exhale in this fruity vape.
We say
The Kiwi flavour note really could do with being turned up a good few notches here. All I got was a sweet, artificial Strawberry flavour, that reminded me of a Strawberry Chewit sweet.
This actually didn’t taste too over-sweetened, although I did get a little sugary hit on the tip of my tongue on the exhale.
Strawberry Raspberry Cherry
They say
Strawberry Raspberry Cherry Sky Hunter Twist Slim pods combine three distinct berries. Strawberry, Raspberry and Cherry deliver sweet, tart and juicy notes one after another in this punchy blend.
We say
Oooh this one really wasn’t too bad! Yes it’s sugary and sweet, but it delivers quite a tasty fruity vape.
My one complaint with this is that the Raspberry flavour seemed to be almost non existent, but the candied Strawberry and Cherry flavours combined well for a pretty pleasant vape.
Icy Pineapple
They say
Icy Pineapple Sky Hunter Twist Slim pods deliver the exotic notes of a single tropical fruit, along with a cool finish. A tangy Pineapple delivers a juicy taste with every inhale, followed by a frosty ice exhale.
We say
Another pretty enjoyable one! The Pineapple flavouring reminded me of Pineapple Cube sweets and there’s quite a nice little icy hit at the end that refreshes my palate. It’s not overly sweetened either, letting the Pineapple flavouring shine through.
Lemon & Lime
They say
Lemon & Lime Sky Hunter Twist Slim pods use two citrus fruits to create a punchy vape. From your first puff, you’ll taste the juicy notes of zingy Lime and a zesty Lemon flavour.
We say
My favourite pod out of the ones that I tested out. Lemon and Lime is always a go-to option for me when vaping fruit flavours and these two flavour notes combine together well.
It’s a zesty, punchy and quite authentic tasting Lemon and Lime flavour, that I really enjoyed vaping!
Purple Rain
They say
Purple Rain Sky Hunter Twist Slim pods provide a concoction of Purple Berries. Dark Grape, sweet mixed fruit and a juicy-tasting medley of berries collide to create a punchy vape.
We say
Nope, this wasn’t for me at all. It tasted really artificial to me, overly sweetened and the Grape flavour drowns out the mixed fruit flavour notes. To the point that I couldn’t actually taste them.
This just tasted like an artificial candied Grape flavour pod, which isn’t something that I can get on with at all.
Blueberry Sour Raspberry
They say
Blueberry Sour Raspberry Sky Hunter Twist Slim pods fuses two bold berry flavours. Sweet and juicy Blueberry notes are balanced by a Sour Raspberry that adds a tanginess to each puff.
We say
Not bad at all! It’s very sweet, as I expected after vaping the other pods in the Sky Hunter range, but in short bursts I found this pretty tolerable.
As well as the strong taste of sweetener, I got the Blueberry and Raspberry notes, with the Raspberry more of a slight undertone and a nice crisp sourness to round this off.
How Does The Sky Hunter Twist Slim Pod Kit Perform?
All in all, I didn’t think the flavours were particularly special here.
They tasted quite over-sweetened on the whole and didn’t offer anything above similar disposable and pre-filled pods on the market.
In fact, I’ve tasted much better disposables and pre-filled pods!
The mouth-to-lung airflow is fixed, there’s no way to adjust it. It offers quite a tight mouth-to-lung vape similar to the draw on a cigarette, which will appeal to people wanting make the switch from cigarettes to vaping.
If they want to switch to a tobacco flavoured vape from cigarettes, they will have to look elsewhere though. Not all new vapers want to vape sweet fruit flavoured e-liquid, quite a few want to vape tobacco as it is similar to what they are used to with a cigarette!
Personally, I much prefer to vape dessert and tobacco flavours rather than sweet ones. So it’s a little disappointing to see another range of pre-filled pods that only offer sweet, fruit-based flavours. But vapers with a sweet tooth will be overjoyed with the range available here!
Battery lifespan has been good enough to last me most of the day, but the vape does get quite weak when battery life is low, necessitating a charge pretty quickly.
Pros
- Handy device for taking to a festival or a weekend away
- Easy to switch flavours on the move without having to carry around extra pods or e-liquid
- Reusable alternative to disposable vapes
- Battery lifespan is pretty good
- Rechargeable battery
- Lots of different flavours to choose from
- Inexpensive device
Cons
- The pod flavours themselves weren’t particularly great
- Build quality felt cheap
- Ring section around the pods was stiff
- Restricted to a MTL vape, no adjustable airflow
- Occasional episodes of drawing on the device and it not firing
- Not anything special to look at
- Restricted to fruit flavours only
Final Verdict
I can see the appeal of devices such as the Sky Hunter Twist Slim, they allow you to switch flavours easily on the move and can be great for taking away to a festival or for a trip away for a few days. Especially if you don’t want to take any of your main devices with you.
Newbies to vaping will also get on with the mouth-to-lung draw that is similar to what you would get from a cigarette. With the bonus of 20mg nicotine salt providing a cigarette-like nicotine hit. Plus it’s a good device for them to test out sweet e-liquid flavours to see how they get on with them.
Having a rechargeable battery means that you can get plenty of use out of the Sky Hunter Twist Slim device itself. All you need to do is purchase new pods for it rather than throw the whole kit away once done, which reduces the waste imprint too.
I can’t grumble about the price, for £11.99 you are getting a plug-and-play vape kit with 8ml worth of pods in total, which does offer good value for money. Replacement packs of pods can be purchased for £5.99, making it a good option if you are on a budget.
There’s a load of flavours available too, meaning you are sure to find a flavour that suits you. Unless you aren’t a fan of sweet fruity e-liquids. In which case you’ll be pretty disappointed as the Sky Hunter only offers fruit-based flavours in their pod range, there’s no desserts or tobaccos to speak of.
However, the downsides do need to be considered too. The build quality of the kit isn’t all that great. I didn’t think much of the flavours either and with it offering a fixed mouth to lung airflow this won’t appeal to vapers that like an airier draw.
But you have got to consider the price here!
