The Sense Blazer Mini, produced by Shenzen based SenseTech, may not be known to your average vaper in the street and may not boast a list of products as long as some of the better known giants, what I can say is that they’ve been releasing some quality gear lately.
Not least of which are the cloud churning Blazer 200 Sub Ohm Tank, the incredible Herakles tank range (especially the RTA) and of course the impressive Blazer mod series.
The brand is continuing to make a name for itself in my books with it’s addition to the insane range of mini sub Ohm tanks currently hitting our stores.
The Sense Blazer Mini
The Sense Blazer Mini Sub Ohm Tank and let me tell you, the more I use it, the more I like it and I’ve been using it a lot lately! I’ve been enjoying the 0.4 Ohm coil with this tank for a few days now but can it reach the best sub ohm tank list?
It hits easier and gives me deeper flavour than a good number of lower resistance coils on other popular mini sub Ohm tanks I own so: I’m pretty damn impressed.

Build Quality & Design
To be perfectly honest with you, I didn’t like the Sense Blazer Mini tank at first.
I opened up the neat, compact transparent plastic box and felt that it lacked finesse and sleekness.
It’s detail heavy and rather rugged looking (especially the stainless finish like I have).
The hinged top cap is particularly thick, as is the base where the adjustable airflow sits: both feature prominent grip texturing and the top cap has the logo emblazoned on it.
That, combined with the loud wick holes all round just give it a busy and industrial look that I soon grew to love when I realized how well this tank performed.
I felt like the top cap could have been reduced to make way for more e-juice but in the end, that adds to the rugged and durable feel of the tank and the hinged door is a priceless feature that just feels that much better because of that safely thick piece of metal at the top.
I say I didn’t like it at first but I definitely like it now.
The tank is heavy, just like it looks and having dropped it once from quite a height onto a hard as hell floor, I know that it’s near indestructible.
Once you realize what an awesome tank this is, you start to see how good it actually looks too: although the old school, mechanical aesthetic won’t match every mini mod, it’s going to look awesome on the Blazer range, Alien 220W, all you can do is try!
As far as breaking down the tank goes, to clean, change coils or replace the seals with the multicolored ones included in the pack…this is one of the easiest breakdowns.
Everything unscrews where it’s supposed to and I never got the impression, as I so often do with mini tanks (or any tanks actually) that the thing was going to break because I had to strain so hard. It’s a smooth operator.
Accessories
I won’t lie, I’m a little bit sad that the 0.2 Ohm coil isn’t included in the kit but I was so surprised by the performance of the 0.4 Ohm coil that I’ve been vaping happily on it for a week now.
Oh and I like the inclusion of alternative color seals that you can fit for some matchy matchy and now that I’ve got one red and one white ring, this thing looks so cute and industrial.
How Does The Sense Blazer Mini Perform?
We all make mistakes, I enjoyed a dry hit when I couldn’t wait to get the show on the road but after a few good soaks and a half a day’s getting used to the Sense Blazer Mini has become, quite possibly my new favorite mini tank.
That, my vaping friends, is purely based on the fact that I’m getting a better vape of 0.4 Ohm coils than I’ve been getting off coils with half the resistance on other, really popular mini sub Ohms.
In the week I’ve been vaping on this tank I’ve experienced absolutely no leakage, splutter or gurgle, even when the tank is full to the brim.
Using Apollo Boss E Liquid I found it to be the smoothest, cleanest vape I’ve had in a while but I felt like the coils or at least the cotton, took a little breaking in, at first the flavour seemed harsh but now it’s so so smooth and flavorsome.
Airflow
The bottom airflow is adjustable via a huge belt with rather attractive looking grip texturing, its quite a tight twist but then…nothing should be too easy, except the vape.
The overall vape is so incredibly smooth on this device that, even when the airflow is near closed it still has an airy feel.
Opening the flow right up you get a smooth intake sound and it feels like you must be breathing straight air only the clouds tell a whole different story.
A great tank to use with the best e liquids out there to get a full on flavour profile.
How To Fill The Sense Blazer Tank
- Slightly twist the top cap grip to the right
- Open the hinged top cap/lid
- Fill through one of the kidney holes in the gasket, avoiding the central shaft
- Close lid and twist grip to the left to lock
- If it’s a fresh coil leave it to sit in the juice for 5 minutes
- Enjoy
Oh happy days and bless SenseTech for this hinged door, hello people but…why don’t all tanks have a hinged lid!?!
I love convenience and I love this. Plus the hinge is thick and chunky and feels completely indestructible.
How To Change the Sense Blazer Coil
- Screw the pyrex and fixed coil housing off the base
- Unscrew the coil from it’s seating
- Change Coil
- Replace Pyrex
Stock Coil Performance
So the pack comes with a 0.4 Ohm coil installed and an extra 0.6 Ohm coil in the kit. There’s a 0.2 Ohm coil available that I can’t wait to get my hands on.
0.6Ohm Coil
The 0.6 Ohm coil provides a cool yet really satisfying vape with more clouds and flavour than you’d ever expect from that resistance.
It vapes like a charm and is perfect for use on a mini vape mod for beginners and intermediate vapers venturing into the sub Ohm districts.
0.4Ohm Coil
The 0.4 Ohm coil may be the best stock 0.4 Ohm I’ve encountered.
It’s flavourlicious and chucks clouds from 50W right up to over 100W, no lie: it vapes better than a few popular 0.2 Ohm coils I have and this coil is the reason I’ll be paying closer attention to SenseTech from now on.
I used a 90VG, no nicotine juice throughout and the coils seem to be having no problem at all with my rather viscous DIY liquid.
I’ve been doing more time on the 0.4 Ohm and I can honestly say, wow! Such a smooth, clean, consistent vape with flavour profiles deepening as the heat slowly but beautifully increases up into the maximum recommended range of 120W.
Killer flavour and clouds, bro, clouds for dayyyys!!!!
You won’t believe how well this coil vapes even at 50W but I’m sitting pretty with it right now at 90W and the flavour is absolutely off the charts.
What I Liked
I love the fact that I didn’t like it at first and it carved it’s way into my esteem.
I love everything about this tank, from the hinged cap and rugged feel to the incredible flavour and smooth rich cloud formation. I haven’t even tried the 0.2 Ohm coil yet, good lord.
What I Dislike
What do you mean?
Final Review Verdict
I thought I didn’t like the Sense Blazer Mini tank at first, the cotton and coil took about a tank full to really break in, not sure why.
I’ve explored the full recommended range of both coils and tested the tank through falls, flavours and upside down transport, no leaks, no gurgle, just an all round great vape that will give you more flavour and cloud for your wattage than you’re used to.
This is an incredible mini sub Ohm tank.
Would I buy this if I lost/broke the device? Oh hell yes!
Pros
- Indestructible design
- Hinged top cap
- Easy top fill
- Easy coil change
- Magnificent airflow
- Brilliant flavour
- Outstanding vapor production
- No mess
Cons
- Took a little breaking in
Sense missed it a little by making the 0.2 ohm 316 coil optional. This coil, unlike the 0.4, does not make the tank get hot. I would give it an A for flavor and A- for clouds. The Mini splits the difference between the slightly too restrictive Baby Beast and loose & sloppy Big Baby.
