I wrote previously about the fact that Scotland is planning a review on disposable vapes.
A member of the UKVIA (UK Vaping Industry Association) – ScotVapes – has written an open letter to the Scottish Government regarding current campaigns against flavours and disposable vapes.
The letter points out how e-liquid flavours are…
“a huge contributory factor in enabling vapers to move away from traditional cigarettes. The different flavours reduce the association to traditional cigarettes.”
Also it discusses disposables…
“There is a lot of negativity surrounding both the waste from and the use by underage people of disposable vapes.
There is a very easy fix for both issues. This would involve repealing the 2ml tank capacity for a more sensible 10ml tank capacity and allowing the adding of a charging port to devices. “
How To Get Involved
You can add your signature at the bottom of this letter and select your local MSP. Make sure to tell your story of how vaping got you away from the health risk of cigarettes.
Also show how scared you are that this beneficial technology could be taken away from you.
A copy of the letter will be sent to the Scottish Health and Environment ministers.
