In today’s review we will be looking at a selection of the Sadboy Nic Salt E-liquid range, kindly sent over by Vape Club!
There’s not too much information on the Sadboy website regarding the brand. However we do know that they are manufactured by California-based Fumizer and distributed globally by DV Brands – one of the largest distributors of premium e-liquids in the industry.
What Can We Expect From The Sadboy Nic Salt E-Liquid Range?
Manufactured in the USA, Sadboy E-liquid offers a vast range of unique e-liquid blends comprising fruit, dessert, ice and candy flavours.
Vape Club offer 19 of the Sadboy range in the UK. The flavours on offer are Custard Cookie, Shamrock Cookie, Butter Cookie, Strawberry Jam, Blue Cotton Candy, Punchberry Ice, Blueberry Granola, Keylime Cookie, Punch Berry, Unicorn Tears, Blueberry Cookie, Blueberry Jam, Lemon Jam, Mango Blood Ice, Strawberry Granola, Mango Blood, Pink Cotton Candy, Rainbow Blood and Strawberry Blood Ice!
The Sadboy Nic Salt E-liquid range is available in the UK in strengths of 10mg and 20mg nicotine salt. It comes in 10ml TPD compliant bottles and is blended to a 50/50 VG/PG mix ratio. They are also available in 100ml nicotine free short fills blended to a 70/30 VG/PG ratio.
I was sent the 10mg versions for review. I tested them in my Voopoo Argus E40 refillable pod system with a 0.6ohm pod and in my SXMini Puremax with a 0.8ohm pod.
Before I start this review, I need to make you aware that this is based on my opinion only and my experiences vaping this range in the devices mentioned above.
Your own experience may differ, as personal preferences and vaping set ups used can affect your own perception of an e-liquid.
This is a pretty extensive e-liquid range, so in this review I’m going to take a look at the top ten best sellers on the Vape Club website, as they have very kindly sent them through to me to review.
So, let’s have a look at them!
Keylime Cookie
They say
Keylime Cookie nic salt e-liquid by Sadboy Cookie keeps things on the indulgent side. A buttery cookie base is layered with the sweet and zesty flavour of key lime curd.
We say
I’d agree with the description here, this is definitely an indulgent e-liquid!
I have got to give top marks to the key lime curd element to this e-liquid. It’s scarily like the key lime curd you would find on a proper Key Lime Pie. It’s got that thickness and consistency you would come to expect from key lime curd, along with the sweetness and the zesty tang.
In terms of the cookie flavouring, this is more of a subtle pairing to the key lime curd flavour note and it is quite a light biscuit base. It works really well though and I found that it complimented the key lime perfectly!
Blue Cotton Candy
They say
Blue Cotton nic salt e-liquid by Sadboy Happy End is a tangy confectionery-inspired blend. The sharp flavour of blue raspberry meets the sweet taste of cotton candy in this punchy vape.
We say
On the inhale, I get blue raspberry flavouring before the very sweet and thick cotton candy / candyfloss flavouring comes in and takes over. Leaving me with quite a thick cotton candy aftertaste.
I thought the balance with this one was just a little bit off. The blue raspberry flavour was quite subtle and the cotton candy overwhelmed this flavour note. It felt like the blue raspberry was more of an undertone and I would have liked to have seen more of it!
I felt this one had been a little bit too over-sweetened too for my liking and could have done with a little less sweetener and a little more blue raspberry flavouring!
Blueberry Cookie
They say
Blueberry Cookie nic salt e-liquid by Sadboy Cookie is ideal if you like indulgent flavours. Buttery cookie notes are layered with the sweet taste of blueberry jam from start to finish.
We say
One thing I’ve realised is that Sadboy really do know how to deliver an excellent blueberry flavour!
There’s authentic blueberry flavouring in abundance here, with a delicious light cookie undertone providing a pastry element to this. The blueberry is pretty rich and bold, but there just seems to be the perfect level of blueberry flavouring present.
There’s also sweetener here, but it doesn’t overwhelm the cookie flavour note at all. I love how light the cookie is and it feels like the cookie flavouring gets even more prominent on the exhale. Also, I couldn’t help but think just how smooth this is.
I’ve tried a few blueberry pastry blends and this one is right up there with the very best of them all.
Shamrock Cookie
They say
Shamrock Cookie nic salt e-liquid by Sadboy Cookie is a luxurious vape from start to finish. The sugary taste of cookie combines with a creamy milkshake flavour before cool minty notes tie the whole thing together.
We say
I can certainly say I have not vaped a flavour combination like this one before!
It’s so strange…but in a good way!
Also, the blend seems to shift on me depending on what I vape it in. For example, when using the Voopoo Argus E40, I get more out of the mint and it comes in earlier, whereas when I vape it in the SXMini Puremax the mint comes in at the end.
The mixture of light sugary cookie and a real thick creamy milkshake flavour works an absolute treat.
And the mint just seems to fit in with these flavours just fine, though I think it might be a bit off-putting for some!
Shamrock Cookie was definitely a grower for me! At first I was a little unsure about whether these flavours would work together for me but the more I vaped this the more I couldn’t put it down. I do love an unusual e-liquid blend that will just keep me guessing!
Punch Berry
They say
Punch berry nic salt e-liquid by Sadboy Fruit layers a confectionery flavour with bold fruits. A sweet mix of berries combines with the sharp taste of raspberry and zesty lemon before sour candy notes add a sharp kick.
We say
Punch Berry has got quite a lot of depth to it. There’s plenty of flavours present here and different vaping devices seem to give different results with this blend!
This has a strong element of candy to it, but the raspberry actually tastes quite realistic and there also seems to be some strawberry and blueberry involved in this flavour party. There’s an undertone of zesty lemon throughout, which is a fabulous addition and it fits in very well.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’ll be right at home with this one, I felt that this was the sweetest flavour out of the ten Sadboy e-liquids that I got to try out.
Normally, a blend like this would be too sweet for me but not so here, there’s a lot going on with this one and it kept my tastebuds guessing.
Mango Blood Ice
They say
Mango Blood Ice nic salt e-liquid by Sadboy Fruit puts tropical fruit on ice. On inhale, you’ll experience the sweet taste of ripe mango before frosty notes take over on exhale.
We say
Vampires will be disappointed with Mango Blood Ice, as I’m sorry to report that there is no blood or blood flavouring present here that I am aware of.
What I do get is a realistic, juicy mango flavouring which really shines here, before a nice chilly cooling blast sets in.
But the ice element to this e-liquid isn’t as strong as a lot of others out there. Which is actually a good thing as quite a lot of them are a little too strong on the cooling front, but it gives this the feel of a chilled glass of mango juice.
I prefer this one to a lot of the mango ice bar salt style flavours on the market as there seems to be much less sweetener used and more prominence given to the mango flavouring.
Unicorn Tears
They say
Unicorn Tears nic salt e-liquid by Sadboy Cookie is an indulgent blend from start to finish. A buttery biscuit base meets a sweet mix of juicy-tasting fruits with every puff of this unique vape.
We say
The fruit blend in Unicorn Tears instantly took me back to the heady days of cereal flavoured e-liquids, six or seven years back when they were all the rage!
This is a Froot Loop cereal style mix but instead of a creamy milk finish, a buttery and sweet cookie flavour comes in and just totally confounds my tastebuds. It’s not something I’m used to but it works oh so well indeed!
It’s like a buttery cookie studded with little pieces of dehydrated fruit that just absolutely pop on my palate.
And the cookie flavour is right at home here too. I’d been craving the old Froot Loop cereal style flavour recently and this one definitely satisfied that craving… In fact I would now choose this one over the cereal milk blends!
Blueberry Granola
They say
Blueberry Granola nic salt e-liquid by Sadboy Nola is ideal if you prefer a sweet, layered vape. Sweet blueberry and cream are added to a nutty granola base in this unique blend.
We say
I can’t remember the last time an e-liquid made me sit up and say ‘wow’ right from the very first puff.
This is genuinely an absolutely phenomenal e-liquid and a masterclass in mixing flavours together.
The blueberry flavouring is rich, bold, sweet and authentic tasting and the cream layer just helps it to deliver a thick mouthfeel.
The granola is subtly done, which is good as I’ve found some e-liquids with granola flavouring to be strangely sharp. This adds a nutty, almost biscuit like element to this blend.
The blending of these flavours is absolute perfection. They each mix with each other perfectly and are delivered to the palate perfectly.
I’m awarding this one a rare 10/10 as it’s seriously that good. I couldn’t find fault with it at all. I actually vaped through this in just over a day, I just absolutely could not put it down and I will be ordering more, which is the mark of a great e-liquid for me.
I’ve run out of superlatives for this one, just get straight over to Vape Club and order it!
Butter Cookie
They say
Butter Cookie nic salt e-liquid by Sadboy Cookie delivers the buttery taste of a classic biscuit with a sharp twist. This blend combines a sugary shortbread cookie flavour with zesty lemon notes.
We say
I thought this would just be another sugary cookie e-liquid but I couldn’t be more wrong.
What I get from this is a crumbly shortbread style cookie flavouring with just a tantalising hint of sweetener present to represent sugar and a deliciously rich buttery base giving this e-liquid some real thickness.
It’s so smooth as well and so easy to vape! I had blasted through a pod without even realising it. It’s one of those e-liquids I can just kick back and enjoy!
The lemon zest is just a tantalising hint right at the end, that makes me think ‘was that really there?’ and gets me having another puff on this to discover it again.
I thought my mind was playing tricks on me until I read the flavour description to confirm the presence of it!
Strawberry Jam
They say
Strawberry Jam nic salt e-liquid by Sadboy Jam takes inspiration from the classic breakfast spread. Sweet strawberry pairs with sugary notes to recreate the popular flavour of strawberry jam.
We say
I’ve tried many a strawberry jam flavour to date and I can’t think of one that could be closer to the taste of actual strawberry jam than this one does!
It just has that realistic, sticky and sweet mouthfeel that you get from actual strawberry jam. The texture and levels of sweetness are almost absolute perfection.
There are absolute lashings of strawberry flavouring on offer here and it lingers around on my tastebuds long after taking my last puff on it.
Honestly, the mouthfeel is almost akin to spooning out strawberry jam into your mouth straight from the jar… Not that I condone that sort of behaviour at all!
Just don’t go spreading this e-liquid on toast!
Final Review Verdict
There’s nothing sad about this range at all. In fact these e-liquids are positively bursting with beautiful flavour – blended to absolute perfection.
This may well be my favourite e-liquid range of 2024! I can’t remember the last time I awarded so many 9 and 10/10 scores to a single range!
Honestly, I have got to say it is so refreshing to review a range like this! It offers something different compared to the fruity bar salt e-liquids that have completely over-saturated the market at the moment and aren’t really offering anything to set themselves apart.
You’ve got quite the opposite here. Yes there are some fruit blends on offer, but these are shoulder to shoulder with some absolutely standout dessert mixes. And being a dessert e-liquid fan, I find this great to see.
I’ve loved being able to get my teeth into some flavours offering some real complexity. As a fan of dessert based e-liquids the offerings from Sadboy Nic Salt E-liquid have absolutely filled me with joy. They really are that good!
Genuinely, I’ve found some all day vapes here. I will absolutely be re-ordering some of these very shortly! Such as the Blueberry Granola, Strawberry Jam, Butter Cookie and Unicorn Tears.
I’m sure they will be staples of mine for a while to come now.
