The Rincoe Neso X is from a fairly new brand on the vaping market but man, oh man are they making a name for themselves with a string of products that are getting excellent reviews one after another.
I was sceptical when I first had a batch of Rincoe mail land in my hands but after reviewing three very diverse Rincoe products over the past few weeks, I can safely say that I’m really looking forward to the next shipment from them.
So, some gear in their inventory worth taking a look at, the compact, high quality Ceto SE pod system, which I thoroughly enjoyed with my nic salts, the Mechman 228W mesh kit, which also floated my boat and the Manto S 228W kit, which I would love to get my hands on.
When I see pods in the style of the Neso X (which is a name taken from Neptunes furthest moon..Possibly!), really slender and simple, draw activated nic salt devices like the Juul Pod mod…I tend to remain unexcited.
Reason being that I haven’t exactly had the best vaping experience with pods of this very compact nature…you see, I like my cloudy days and these pods just don’t always match up.
So, juicing up my little Neso X, I was expecting very, very little…the Neso X, however, had some surprises in store for me.

Build Quality & Design
Opening up the neat, Neso X, yellow box packaging, I’m met with a sleek and simple looking pod device.
This tiny pod system is long and almost looks like an extended USB stick. It consisted of a battery module, with a micro USB port at its base and magnetic connection points for the cartridge and mouthpiece section deep within a recess at the other end so, effectively, the actual connection points sit about 2/3 of the way up the battery
The battery module is basically a smooth cylindrical ellipse, made mostly out of plastic but with a very attractive, matte finish that almost makes it seem like metal.
One thing is for sure, this finish is very scratch resistant and in spite of the lightweight simplicity of this pod, it actually has a very high quality look, which remains pristine even when you’re rough with it.
There is a small ’N’ branded at the bottom of the one side which is actually an LED indicator which lights up when you vape and glows red when you need to charge your battery.
The cartridge/mouthpiece section slides into the recess at the top of the battery and sits fast with the help of strong magnets.
The lip on the cartridge which makes it sit flush with the battery is slanted, as is the top end of the battery section, so the cartridge can only fit in one way…see my pictures to clarify.
The cartridge consists of a comfortable, tapered mouthpiece with a small elliptical draw opening and a side fill port which has a fixed silicon stopper.
The 45mm length of the cartridge allows for a decent, 1.8 ml capacity, with every nook inside of that mouthpiece well utilised.
The frosted, tinted plastic is still sufficiently see-through, so it’s easy to check your juice levels with just a little light from behind.
There is no adjustable airflow on this device and it seems that air is sucked in through the USB port.
This device is draw activated so there are no buttons or controls.
How Does The Rincoe Neso X Perform?
What a pleasant surprise. I can honestly say that I wasn’t expecting such a satisfying vapour cloud and flavour quality from this delicate and unassuming device.
The dimensions and shape of this pod make it ultra-portable while the design of it just couldn’t be simpler for use by beginners and cigarette quitters.
This is a perfect little starter nic salt device with a draw on a par with the air resistance of a cigarette and a vapour production that definitely beats the smoke production from a cigarette draw (ugh!).
I’m very impressed by the airflow on this device and feel it has no need of adjustment.
Not only do I get outstanding cloud production and a really great resistance for a mouth to lung draw, I also enjoy nice long, restricted direct to lung with no overheating or complaints form this device.
The draw activation works consistently, with a nice smooth airflow and no tendency to over-fire or get stuck after a draw like some draw activated vapes.
I must stress that the flavour and vapour coming through here are surprisingly satisfying. I’m actually giving myself a bit of a nicotine overdose, as I’m writing this review…oops.
I must say that, given the high vapour production, you will be emptying your cartridge a little faster than you might expect from such a tiny device.

Stock Coil Performance
The 1.3 Ohm included coil is a pleasure to vape on, providing above average flavour for a pod and outstanding vapour production for both MTL and DTL draws, for this class of vape, of course.
Due to the high vapour production, juice consumption is a little elevated, especially for a pod of this size and class, which came as a surprise to me.
These coils also stand up to quite a beating, I’ve been steadily chain vaping on my second coil for about 4 days and flavour and vapour production are not at all diminished, which is rather impressive for coils of this size.
I was sent 2 extra cartridges for the purpose of this review and I’m thankful for that, since I managed to mess up my first coil by not allowing it long enough to soak after the first fill.
I’m a bit of a vape-fiend and after filling it I actually picked up the device subconsciously and took a nice, long draw, which incinerated the cotton and my lungs, as it had only been soaking for about a minute.
This isn’t a fault with the coil head or cartridge but just be aware that you must provide at least 3 minutes to soak after your first fill, especially if you only have one cartridge. Make it 10 minutes to be on the safe side.
Battery Life
The Neso X has a 350 mAh on-board battery and I must say, battery life is outstanding, with a full days very high usage (6-8 hours) off a single charge.
Also, I enjoy the constant voltage factor which allows for a consistent draw quality throughout the span of a charge, so you always get a solid hit, right up to the last draw.
The device charges from flat in just under an hour.

Final Review Verdict
In my opinion, the Neso X is a near perfect example of vapes in this class. Slender, lightweight and easy to use, with excellent flavour and vapour production, this pod mod is a perfect choice for cigarette quitters looking for a tiny nic salt device with excellent performance and a draw feel similar to that of smokes.
I highly recommend the Neso X for beginners or salt nic lovers who are after an affordable device that still offers a quality experience.
And..
Would I buy the Rincoe Neso X if I lost/broke the device? Sure I would.
