Red Vape have added a couple of new e-liquids to their Red Vape Reserva range and in this review we are going to have a look at these new additions as well as three existing ones!
Founded in 2013, Red Vape set out to manufacture market-leading gourmet e-liquid made in the UK. They use only the finest natural ingredients that have been derived from natural sources.
The initial range of twelve flavours that Red Vape released were quite unlike others on the market. Their Naturally Extracted Tobacco (NET) e-liquids receiving high praise from reviewers and consumers.
Over the following three years, Red Vape added new flavours and zero-nicotine options. In 2017 as a result of the Tobacco Products Directive (TPD), Red Vape took the opportunity to review and further develop many of their existing flavours.
Red Vape are extremely passionate about the fact that every aspect of their range is UK made and of the highest possible quality. Nothing artificial is added to their products and only pharmaceutical grade nicotine is used.
All Red Vape e-liquids are manufactured in ISO 9001/2015 certified clean rooms. With their production facility achieving ISO 6 Cleanroom status to certify a sterile environment.

At the time of writing, Red Vape have four different ranges available on their website: Reserva, Premium, Zeros and Urban Sky collections.
I have got to confess that despite being a lover of tobacco e-liquids, I have never gotten around to trying out any of Red Vapes offerings yet. So when I was offered the chance to try out five of the Reserva range I naturally jumped at the chance!
What Can We Expect From Red Vape Reserva E-Liquids?
The Reserva collection from Red Vape is a range of naturally extracted tobacco e-liquids. Each tobacco variety has been carefully selected and blended expertly before being steeped for at least a month to develop, enhance and intensify the flavour. The slower development process means you get e-liquids that are ready to vape right out of the bottle.
Red Vape utilise proprietary cold maceration techniques (a gold-standard method for extracting tobacco flavourings from the tobacco leaf) to produce their naturally extracted tobaccos with an extremely flavourful extract as a result.
No artificial tobacco flavours are used in this range, only tobacco flavours that have been naturally extracted from hand-picked mature tobacco leaves from some of the world’s finest tobacco varieties are used.
As a result, you get to vape the pure, rich and full flavour of the tobacco leaf without any harsh or bitter undertones that can be found with e-liquids that use artificial tobacco flavourings.
Nine e-liquids make up the Reserva range in total. These are mixed to a 50/50 VG/PG ratio and are available in nicotine strengths of 3mg, 6mg, 12mg and 18mg.
Red Vape sent these over in 6mg nicotine strength.
I tried these e-liquids in the Aspire Pixo with a 1.0ohm coil at 12-15W for a Mouth To Lung (MTL) experience. Plus I also used my SXmini Puremax 2 with a 0.4ohm coil at 26-28W to see how they fared with a Restricted Direct Lung (RDL) vape. Packaging
Each 10ml bottle is packaged within a black presentation box that features a distinctive Black and Gold colour scheme, making these really stand out. My first impressions definitely screamed ‘high-end’!
Relevant nicotine warnings are printed clearly on each box and the batch number and expiry date is located on the base. Company contact details are printed on the side of the box.
Childproof caps are found on each bottle and a safety information leaflet is found inside the packaging.
Vinales
They say:
“A true taste of Cuba, home to the world’s finest tobacco. Derived from Habano cigar tobacco leaves and using a six-week curing process, Vinales naturally extracted tobacco is deep, smooth and hugely satisfying, with a lingering intensity”.
We say:
Vinales is one of the latest additions to the Reserva range for 2025!
It gets its name from the Vinales valley, where the fertile tobacco plantations grow the world’s finest tobacco leaves.
There’s a lovely Golden colour to this e-liquid and it gives off a hint of a cigar-like smell to it.
Flavour-wise, this one is really robust and strong, definitely making it one for the aficionado. It has quite a heavy cigar leaf flavouring to it, with the full complex flavour profile of the tobacco leaf present, yet this is very clean tasting.
Throat hit is definitely noticeable too, which I actually find quite satisfying and I feel that it fits in with the flavour profile of Vinales!
I really enjoyed sitting down with a whiskey and enjoying this one, this feels like a proper ‘grown-up’ and mature tobacco flavour to savour.
Maduro
They say:
“A full-flavoured, naturally extracted tobacco derived from Habano cigar tobacco leaves and using a six-week curing process, Maduro delivers an authentic cigar experience with a rich throat hit and nutty aftertaste that tobacco connoisseurs will love”.
We say:
Along with Vinales, Maduro is one of the newer additions to the Reserva range for 2025.
Maduro is derived from Habano cigar wrapper tobacco leaves that have undergone a six-week curing process after being picked. This is then followed up with a three stage fermentation process.
There’s a light Golden colour to the e-liquid and a nutty, rich tobacco smell to it.
That nutty and rich smell translates over to the flavour too. A dark and deep cigar tobacco flavour that really hits me from the get go and a slight sweet nutty undertone present.
It’s full bodied, strong and complex, a real mature flavour profile.
Throat hit is very robust and definitely noticeable, this is one to savour rather than chain vape.
This is the strongest flavoured one out of the five that I tried and definitely not one for the faint hearted! Tobacco enthusiasts will absolutely love this!
If you were fond of a cigar, then I would heartily recommend Maduro as this is an excellent naturally extracted tobacco version. Along with Vinales, another great pairing for whiskey!
Shade
They say:
“Tobacco flavouring derived from the famous North American Shade tobacco variety, traditionally used as cigar wrappers, creates a crisp medium strength tobacco vape which is pleasantly smooth”.
We say:
Shade is also known as Connecticut Shade, as it is only grown in the Connecticut River Valley. It is quite commonly used to wrap some of the finest cigars in the world.
The e-liquid itself has quite a deep, rich Ruby Red colour to it and the smell reminded me of a cigar.
It delivers a smooth cigar flavour, that isn’t quite as strong as Maduro. It has a surprisingly light inhale that really allows me to pick up on the cigar notes before it gets stronger, smokier and more full bodied on the exhale.
There’s no bitterness present in the flavour profile, just a remarkable mild cigar flavour that can actually be puffed away on all day long.
In terms of throat hit, it’s definitely noticeable. I get a good hit at the back of my throat that is quite satisfying to say the least!
Not that I was a big cigar aficionado in my smoking days, but I did smoke a few and this did remind me of one of the more premium cigars.
Mapacho
They say:
“Tobacco flavouring derived from the Mapacho tobacco plant which grows naturally in the Peruvian jungle. A super-smooth tobacco variety offering a subtle sweetness and a rich creamy flavour, Mapacho is an indulgent vape for the tobacco aficionado”.
We say:
This is one of the newer additions to the Reserva range.
Mapacho is a powerful tobacco flavour that has actually been used in medicine for nearly 3000 years now!
In terms of e-liquid colour, this is quite a deep Red, almost Brown colour. It instantly made me think that it was going to be quite strong and it gives off a pretty strong scent of sweet tobacco.
Now, taste wise, this almost couldn’t be more opposite!
I was almost surprised by how smooth this was, with very little throat hit present too. Making this one a great choice for newbies to tobacco flavours.
It has a sweet and light tobacco leaf flavour profile to it, a very easy going tobacco flavour in my opinion and this leaves a little bit of sweetness on my tongue.
This one was almost my favourite out of the five that I tried but it was just pipped to the post! That being said this is still one that I would quite happily vape all day long!
Perique
They say:
“Tobacco flavouring derived from the distinctive Perique tobacco variety grown in Louisiana. A complex and powerful eliquid with subtle notes of caramel and vanilla”.
We say:
Perique is usually a strong tasting tobacco that is quite widely used as a pipe tobacco.
The liquid itself has a lovely, inviting Golden colour to it and the scent is wonderful. I’m getting a creamy hint with some tobacco leaf that makes me want to dive right in!
Taste wise, I definitely get notes of Vanilla and Caramel that carry all the way through, backed up with a robust and rich tobacco flavouring. There’s a little sweetness too and plenty of complexity and depth to be found.
Throat hit here is actually quite mild even at higher wattage. So this is one that I would recommend for people trying out tobacco flavours, as well as hardcore tobacco enthusiasts.
Perique naturally extracted tobaccos have always been amongst my favourites but this one has got to be amongst the very best that I’ve tried.
This is just an absolutely sumptuous naturally extracted tobacco with a phenomenal flavour profile to it. A truly faultless Perique flavour.
Red Vape sent me two bottles of this and let me tell you, both didn’t last me a week! They were that good that I couldn’t help but puff away all day on them…
And I’ll be ordering more for sure!
Final Review Verdict
I was trying to think of a word to sum up these fantastic five e-liquids and I came to the conclusion that ‘exquisite’ worked perfectly!
This is a real high-end vaping experience, but one that is accessible to anyone. If you are curious about tobacco e-liquids, I would most definitely recommend giving the Reserva range a try.
I do consider myself a tobacco e-liquid connoisseur. I’ve always enjoyed a tasty tobacco vape ever since I began vaping and in terms of pure quality these are right up there with the very best ones that I have tried. And I have tried an awful lot in my time!
Red Vape have blended these five e-liquids to near perfection. The five that I got to try out are an absolute showcase of naturally extracted tobacco and the flavour experience that a quality NET can offer anyone.
They are really versatile e-liquids that can be savoured with either a mouth to lung or restricted direct lung device. By using different set-ups and output wattages on your devices you can really experience everything these e-liquids have to offer. A great fit for refillable pod kits too!
I know that price wise, these are a little more than your usual 10ml bottles but in my opinion they are worth every penny and then some. You need to bear in mind that these are quality naturally extracted tobacco flavours and not artificial tobacco flavourings and the quality of these e-liquids shows through.
I will most definitely be purchasing these again. Particularly Perique which has attained all day vape status for me and giving some of the others in the Reserva range (as well as a few from their other ranges that I’ve got my eye on) a go!
