Plus of course flavours will always be a personal thing. So my aim is to concentrate on whether the flavours are a true representation and match the description.

What Can We Expect From The OXVA Xlim Pre-Filled Pods?
These come in packs of 3 and you can choose from 10 different flavours.
They are compatible with all of the fixed coil Xlim devices – Xlim V2, Xlim SE, Xlim SQ, Xlim SQ Pro, Xlim Pro and Xlim SE V2. They are not compatible with the replaceable coil Xlim C.
This is a simple way to get the ease of a disposable vape in a quality rechargeable pod kit!
The one side of the pod has the flavour printed and the other has the OXVA Xlim text engraved in.
Although quite square in form, the mouthpiece is very smooth and comfortable.

Quick Start Guide
- Remove the pod from the packaging.
- Peel off the protective sticker from the base of the pod.
- Remove the protective plug from the mouthpiece.

I was sent all 10 pod flavours for review.
I will be using these in my OXVA Xlim SQ Pro and it automatically suggested 12W as the optimum power level.
Sadly there are no flavour descriptions on the OXVA website so I can only comment on what I can taste!
Kiwi Passionfruit Guava
This is one of those flavours where I struggle to understand the popularity? Most ranges have their own take on this profile and I rarely enjoy it.
But I am happy that OXVA have made this better than the generic version.
It is hard to pinpoint which fruit is dominant as they do actually blend together well.
There is almost a Pineapple type backnote which is then rounded out into a sweet syrupy fruity flavour.
Sorry my descriptions are not very descriptive, but this is a strange one to try and interpret!
It is definitely for me one of the better Kiwi Passionfruit Guava vapes I have tasted! Those wanting an authentic tangy fruit may be disappointed with this sweet offering though.
Triple Mango
Urgh I really dislike Mango vapes – the earthy musty taste I find very unpleasant.
But as the rest of this range are nice and sweet – I have some hope that OXVA might be able to offer me a palatable version!
Hmmm – it is definitely sweeter than the majority of Mango vapes and not a realistic replication. Which may be a downside for proper Mango fans.
For me the unwanted mustiness is still present and it does veer into a Shampoo like flavour after exhaling. Like a waxy sensation on your tongue.
I really dislike this and I feel those who love a realistic Mango flavour would not be impressed with this either.
Sadly the weakest flavour in the whole range.
I know I am biased against Mango but I can recognise when one is authentic and would make people happy. This is not one of those.
It is hard to understand who would like this flavour – real Mango enthusiasts would find it too synthetic and those who like a Sweetie style version would find it too musty. It is not horrific but not one I would vape again out of choice.
Watermelon Ice
Me and our reviewer Dan are in total agreement – why on earth do so many people like Watermelon vapes? I find them hideous!
This is very much like most of the generic Watermelon flavour disposable vapes – but thankfully slightly better!
The usually drying Watermelon flavour is very well balanced and the addition of the succulent sweetness really saves this flavour!
It is definitely one of the better Watermelon flavours I have tasted – but I do prefer a super sweet candy style vape. If you like a realistic, tangy Watermelon this might not be for you.
Sadly like some of the other Ice flavours – the cooling is a bit too overpowering.
Strawberry Raspberry Cherry
The name of this is right up my street with some of my favourite fruit flavours!
On the inhale though this is slightly more sour than I was expecting! Especially as the rest of the range have been pretty sweet.
At the start the Strawberry is the first to come through but that is followed rapidly with a sour Cherry and Raspberry mix. Oh and this is icy too!
Unfortunately there is a slight burnt plastic backnote after the exhale which I believe might be the Cherry as this can veer into synthetic territory very easily.
Which sadly rendered this not a particularly enjoyable vape I am afraid.
Fizzy Cherry
I love a good Cherry vape – so I have everything crossed this is a good’un!
There is indeed a lot of Cherry but there is something else quite horrible present?
The unwanted addition tastes a bit like a mixture of Pineapple, Pear, Peach and detergent? It is extremely odd.
It is such a shame as the aftertaste left in your mouth is like a yummy Cherry sweet and you do feel a Sherbet like fizz on your tongue.
But that unwanted Toilet Cleaner intruder really has spoilt what has the potential to be an excellent flavour!
Go back to basics OXVA and remove that rogue element and make this flavour shine!
Rose Lemonade
I generally love a Pink Lemonade flavour – unfortunately a lot of brands ruin this by using Watermelon as the “Pink” element.
I have no idea why – when there are beautiful Red fruits such as Strawberries, Raspberries or Cranberries which would be perfect!
So what path is the OXVA version taking?
I am very pleased to report it is not Watermelon.
It is quite sweet and the Lemonade flavour is prominent and delicious but not tangy or sharp. But then this floral taste kicks in. Which whilst not horrible, it is a bit unnerving.
Therefore it does deliver what you would expect from a “Rose” and “Lemonade” pairing. And yes it is another cold one!
But I would suggest using the perfect existing Lemonade flavour and adding one of the yummy Red fruits mentioned above would improve this dramatically.
Apple Peach
This is a very cold one! Brr!
But both fruits are present but in quite a Sweet / Candy style.
It is not a massively realistic interpretation but it is for me (with a mega sweet tooth) bloody delicious!
The blending is perfect, it is not overflavoured or too sickly.
I could vape this all day long – but I do find the cooling slightly overpowering and it does leave me with a cold feeling in my chest.
My advice for OXVA would be to tone down the cooling and this would be perfect!
Rainbow Candy
I am going in blind with these flavours but the image suggests something along the lines of Skittles sweets – a mixture of fruity candy flavour.
The sweets “Skittles” have the slogan “Taste The Rainbow”…
In a bag of Skittles the flavours are apparently Strawberry, Green Apple, Grape, Lemon and Orange.
This is a very tasty blend indeed. Sometimes the flavours can be so muddled they become unpleasant. However here is it a very fresh taste with some cooling present.
The main flavours are the Apple and Lemon – which have a slight tang but are still quite sweet.
There are rounded sweet backnotes which I do think are the Strawberry and Grape.
This is the best fruit medley flavour I have ever tried – fresh and super clear!
I blummin love it and it gets 10/10 from me!
Pineapple Ice
Weirdly I am actually allergic to Pineapple in real life – so it is nice to get a tasty vape version!
Will the OXVA version satisfy my Pineapple withdrawals?
The first thing that becomes apparent is the cooling, then as you exhale the Pineapple comes alive.
This is a very sweet rendition but very tasty. You will not get an earthy realistic Pineapple here I am afraid. But as a generic disposable vape style Pineapple this is really good!
It is not over-flavoured or over sweetened and is so well balanced it could be an “All Day Vape” without becoming sickly or overpowering. There is a lot of restraint in the blending.
So in summary – not the most amazing Pineapple vape ever, but the cooling is not too fierce and it is very pleasantly gentle.
Mr Blue
When I have to choose flavours for reviews, I tend to veer towards the “Blue” vapes, i.e. Blue Raspberry, Blue Slush as they are my preference.
This one did not disappoint!
It has slightly more tang that some of the range and a bit of cooling.
But expect the tried and tested Blue Raspberry flavour profile and you will be happy!
A lot of the “Blue” style flavours can be very “Syrupy” which is something I love. The syrupy nature is missing a bit here, meaning this is quite a light weight version without the full bodied rounded flavour.
This does mean that it does not become sickly sweet or overpowering and more suitable as an “All Day Vape”. Plus there is none of the “Acrid” quality that some Blue Raspberry flavours can have in the background.
It is very gentle and inoffensive and should keep all generic “Blue” fans happy. I really enjoy it, but would prefer a bit more syrup!
Airflow
This is more device specific as the Xlim range have adjustable airflow.
I was using the OXVA Xlim Pre-filled pods with the Xlim SQ Pro airflow wide open and found them to be quite a tight MTL at around 2-3 on the scale (0=fully closed, 10= fully open like breathing fresh air). But the difference between fully open and fully closed on the airflow adjustment was quite small and at fully closed this still rated around 1.5.
Leaks?
None experienced with all 10 pods I tested.
Pod Life
Obviously this will vary according to your own vape habits.
Puff counts are always a bit of a Grey area. How long is a puff? I tend to take the puff count promises as a guide as I have never achieved 600 puffs from 2ml of e-liquid or a 600 puff disposable vape!
However with previous 2ml devices I usually average from 200 to 300 puffs – I generally take 2 to 3 second inhales. So if this is below 200 or above 300 – it is worthy of note.
I got 298 puffs and started to notice a dry taste, so I did not push this any further for fear of the dreaded dry hit! This puff count is pretty much average for me with 2ml pods / disposables.
Pros
- Less waste and expense compared to standard disposables
- Compatible with the best pod kits on the market!
- Great performance in flavour
- Tight MTL airflow
- Super easy to use
- No faulty pods in the 10 I tried
Cons
- Some of the cooling was a bit fierce
- A few flavours were below standard
Final Review Verdict
In general the OXVA Xlim Pre-filled pods are a good range of flavours to make the best pod kits on the market into simple devices for beginners or those transitioning from a disposable vape.
Even though these pods have a high resistance coil and are used at low power, they really do kick out the flavour. So any disposable vaper would be very happy with the performance.
Some of the flavours have too much cooling, leaving me with slight discomfort from the excessive ice in my windpipe. Like breathing in frosty air on a cold day.
I am a bit averse to ice e-liquid so it might just be me being a lightweight.
For the easiest set up I would recommend using these pods with the Xlim SE or Xlim SQ. Both devices have no power settings to adjust so are the simplest of the range.
If you want to swap from a disposable vape to something more sustainable – these pods with an Xlim kit would be a decent step. Although some of the flavours were not great, you also have the option to upgrade to the refillable pods included in the kit when you are ready. I would suggest the pre-filled pods as a transition stage until you find your flavour and nicotine strength preference.
