You may have seen that ASH UK (Action on Smoking and Health UK) published the results of their “Use of e-cigarettes among adults in Great Britain 2023” survey.
The results were quite upsetting – especially as 4 in 10 smokers have been bombarded with negative information (or misinformation) about vaping and therefore are scared of switching!
I published a few articles on the responses from the IBVTA and various experts.
Now we have the response from the NNA (New Nicotine Alliance).
I have quoted it in full below – also I have included the Tweets (X’s?) associated with it.
“The New Nicotine Alliance welcomes the two ASH reports published this week, links below.
Especially valuable is the report tackling myths about vaping that crop up almost daily, in the press and, less seen but just as important, in healthcare settings. Nothing puts people off trying vaping so powerfully as a doctor saying that vaping is as bad as smoking, but here we are, finding the seeds of doubt sown more and more often. Anyone who has experienced the benefits of switching to vaping should share this report with their friends, families, and their healthcare provider, to try and turn the tide of negative propaganda.”
