Nixer are back with some very exciting new collaborations and we are looking at one of these in today’s review with a dive into the Nixer x Wick Liquor range!

Nixer Wick Liquor review

We had a quick look at three of the original Nixer range recently. Now they have tied up collaborations with some of the leading e-liquid producers in the UK as part of their ‘Nixer X’ range, such as Wick Liquor, Unreal and Yeti!

We will be looking at all of these additions to the Nixer range in subsequent reviews, so keep your eyes peeled!

The Nixer range of longfills and mixing kits is produced by UK based Dispergo Vaping. They were founded in 2019 off the back of the runaway success of the Jack Rabbit Desserts range.

All of Dispergo Vaping’s e-liquids are manufactured to the highest standards in Oxfordshire using fully TPD compliant ingredients. They pride themselves on creativity, independence and uniqueness.

What Can We Expect From The Nixer x Wick Liquor E-Liquid?

If you haven’t come across them before, the Nixer range are ‘longfills’. The difference between these and shortfills is that you can vape higher strength nicotine than the 3mg you are usually limited to with a shortfill.

The longfills come in 60ml bottles, that contain 30ml of zero nicotine flavour concentrate suspended in PG. The 30ml worth of space is designed for a mixer kit to be poured in.

By using one of the mixer kits, the ratio can increase to 70/30 VG/PG if using a freebase nicotine kit or 50/50 VG/PG if using a nicotine salt based one. Nixer handily offer their own Nixer mixer kits and you can customise your flavours by ‘icing’ them up with the Ice mixer kit.

The Nixer mixing kits are available in 5mg or 10mg nicotine salt strength, but you have also got the option of an iced version too if you like a chill to your e-liquids.

nixer strengths

Freebase nicotine vapers are also catered to with the 3mg and 6mg Nixer mixing kit options…

And you have the freedom to add any of these mixing kits to any of the flavours available in the range!

Always fancied an iced Custard Doughnut flavour? Then go for it by adding one of the iced Nixer mixing kits to a Custard Doughnut longfill!

You do need a mixer kit in order to vape one of these longfills, as they essentially contain flavour concentrate and will taste pretty nasty without first being diluted with a mixer kit!

As the name suggests, this range is a collaboration between Nixer and Wick Liquor with five of Wick Liquor’s most popular flavours available.

And thanks to Vape Club, we’ve got all five in for review along with a selection of 10mg nic salt and 10mg nic salt ice mixer kits!

Before I start this review off, I must mention that as with any e-liquid, taste is subjective. In my review I will write up my own thoughts on my experiences with each e-liquid.

Your experience may differ, as people have differing palates, preferences on taste and different vaping set ups which can offer a totally different flavour experience.

Packaging

Each bottle features 30ml of zero nicotine flavour concentrate inside a 60ml bottle, giving you space for your Nixer mixing kit of choice.

nixer wick liquor kit contents

A childproof cap is present and on the label you have the famous Wick Liquor logo along with the Nixer one and the selected flavour. The label also has the manufacturer’s contact details, the batch number and expiry date for traceability.

The Nixer mixing kits come with three 10ml bottles inside and these will be a mix of nicotine shots or nicotine and VG shots depending on which one you have opted for.

You don’t have to worry too much as Nixer takes all the hassle out, just select the strength that you prefer and add all the bottles present in the kit.

How To Use Nixer x Wick Liquor Longfills

Inside the longfill bottle there is 30ml worth of e-liquid with space for the three bottles contained in the mixing kit. Once mixed this will give you 60ml of e-liquid with the nicotine strength specified on your Nixer mixing kit.

If you have experience with shortfills before, this will be a doddle for you!

nixer mixing

  • Pop off the top of the longfill bottle
  • Add in all of the bottles from your Nixer mixing kit.
  • Give the bottle a shake for a minute and hey presto – 60ml of e-liquid ready to vape to your desired specifications!

Ardour

They say

Braised blackcurrant blended with dark berries and raspberry puree

We say

No mistaking the flavour here, this absolutely walloped me with a strong smell of blackcurrant. My mouth was watering before I had even mixed (or Nixed) this one up!

Now, granted that is the potent smell of the flavour concentrate before it was diluted down with a 10mg nic salt Nixer mixing kit, but that really set the tone. There’s absolutely no let up in flavour all the way through this.

Right from the off I get an absolute heap of blackcurrant flavour, juicy and realistic tasting. With background notes of blackberry complimenting the blackcurrant note and a delicious raspberry flavouring at the end that really does nail raspberry puree notes.

I’ve tried a few of the Wick Liquor range in the past but Ardour was a brand new one to me. And this is an e-liquid I can safely say I’ll be purchasing in the future as I really did enjoy it that much.

Absolutely banging stuff here!

Castaway

They say

Prickly pineapple with mashed mango and punchy passionfruit

We say

Castaway is one that I mixed with one of the 10mg nicotine salt Nixer Ice mixing kits as I like these flavours with a chill. I felt that the Ice mixing kit would really compliment this particular blend.

It’s a new one for me as I’ve not actually tried Wick Liquor Castaway before, but the description really appeals to me!

Having that chill at the end just goes perfectly with the pineapple, mango and passionfruit flavour notes, making this taste like a tropical fruit salad straight out of the fridge. I’m pleased with my decision to ‘ice’ these up!

Authenticity is key here too – the pineapple, mango and passionfruit flavour notes all actually taste like the fruits themselves, with no nasty artificial or chemical aftertaste. It’s like actually biting into them!

Boulevard

nixer wick liquor boulevard

They say

Mardi Gras fruit punch and fortified Malibu Loganberry pulp

We say

Boulevard is an all day vape for many and with its sweet flavour profile I can certainly see why!

Such is its popularity that it even spawned Boulevard Shattered, which was a version of Boulevard that offered chilly undertones.

Sticking to the OG version and adding a standard 10mg Nixer Mixing kit (no ice for me here!), I get a mixed fruit Skittles styled vape with the fruit flavours tasting more artificial here. I get lemon, strawberry, some mixed berries, a hint of coconut and some citrus here, plus there seems to be a whole lot of sweetener.

I’d say this one was the sweetest out of the five that I tried out and as such it is probably not one I would purchase again. Though I can see why it has become a popular choice for a lot of vapers out there!

Contra

nixer x wick liquor contra

They say

Sicilian vine citrus and Porta Fortuna fruit compote

We say

Wick Liquor Contra is a flavour blend that I am already well acquainted with! One of my local bricks and mortar vaping stores stocks it and I have partaken in a bottle or ten of this over time!

So, to give a new slant on it, I reached for one of the Ice Nixer mixing kits and dumped it in.

Contra is one of those e-liquids that everyone seems to get different flavour notes from. The flavour notes that I usually expect are all present and correct here, with pomegranate, lychee, cane sugar, citrus and dominant note of Sicilian lemon. There’s also a thick and syrupy feel to this like a compote.

Adding a chill to it just seems right at home and compliments the blend perfectly in my opinion.

Using the Ice Nixer mixing kit really elevated the lemon flavour note and turned it into what tasted like a lemon sorbet, which I found to be absolutely phenomenal!

Blue Moon

nixer wick liqour blue moon

They say

Top hat blueberries frozen with ruby raspberries

We say

Mmmm, two of my favourite berry flavours here!

I also looked at the flavour description, saw that there seems to already be some menthol/koolada present in the blend. So I thought what the hell, let’s chuck one of the 10mg Ice Nixer kits in there too and ramp up that chill a bit! I do like a strong chill to my e-liquids after all!

There is some delicious, authentic tasting blueberry and raspberry, with the blueberry slightly dominating the raspberry flavour note. Before I get absolutely slammed with a chilly kick to my palate. That’s more like it!

Adding the Ice Nixer mixer kit to this really adds another dimension of coldness and brings you into brain freeze territory. Not for the faint hearted!

The chill that is present in the original version will probably be enough for most people to just go ahead and add in a standard Nixer mixing kit. But if you do like a strong icy kick to your e-liquid then it is great to have the option to chuck the Ice mixing kit in and crank it right up!

Final Review Verdict

I’ve been a fan of Wick Liquor e-liquids for a while, so when the opportunity to review these came up I jumped at the chance! And I’m glad I did, as I got the chance to revisit some old favourites as well as try out some ones I hadn’t had a go on before, thanks to the Nixer x Wick Liquor range.

As I had the ability to mix these to 10mg nicotine salt strength, it meant I could enjoy them in my pod systems. They particularly went down a storm in the Voopoo Argus E40.

You can even add an ‘iced’ twist to some of these classic blends, thanks to the Nixer Ice mixer kits, giving them a whole new spin! And I’m pleased with the results I got when I did this with Blue Moon, Contra and Castaway.

The flavour is absolutely spot on and exactly what you would expect if you’ve tried these e-liquids before. With the added bonus of being able to vape them at a higher nicotine strength than you would in a shortfill. Plus not being limited to a 10ml bottle if you vape higher than 3mg. The 60ml bottles really do give you plenty of vaping for your money!

My only grumble with this range is that a couple of my favourites from the Wick Liquor range weren’t present and only fruity blends from Wick Liquor have made the cut. No sign of Deja Voodoo or Carnival, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed that these get added in the future.

After giving the Nixer x Wick Liquor collaboration a go, I’m excited to see what the other Nixer collaborations have to offer! Stay tuned to Ecigclick for the reviews on those!

Many thanks to Vape Club for sending the Nixer x Wick Liquor range in! These can be purchased from their website for £9.99 per bottle, with the mixer kits available for £2.99!

They are also offering a range of multibuy deals on these too! With two available for £15 or two bottles and two Nixer Mixer Kits for £20… go grab yourself a bargain!

Vaping full time since 2012, started on cigalikes for a while then curiosity got the better of me and I moved onto an vape pens, a month or two later I was seeing people walking around with these interesting shiny tubes and I thought 'I gotta get one of those'. Before I knew it a trip down to my local B&M got me my first VW mod, an Innokin SVD, paired with an iClear 30, and I was hooked. Soon after that I was jumping to VW mods both box and tube shaped, before I then made the jump to rebuilding and thus sub ohming, with my first RDA and mech mod. These days I've come back to convenience and mainly use pods, disposables and the VOOPOO Drag H40. Most importantly I am still loving vaping!
