Today I’ve been given the opportunity to test out the MVL (Monster Vape Labs) Monster Bars disposable vapes.
Monster Vape Labs (MVL) are based in Florida and have been creating high quality E-liquid since 2016. Their manufacturing facilities are among the cleanest and most technically advanced in the world.
If you’re looking for a particular flavour, chances are MVL have got it in their 10ml salt nicotine or short fill E-liquid ranges.
With the ever growing popularity of disposable vapes it was inevitable these E-liquids made the transition across.
We’ve already taken a look at some of the Monster Bars disposables with the MVL Classic series, featuring some of their best known flavours.
Todays line up are lifted from the Jam, Lemonade, Milk and Tobacco Monster ranges.
What Can We Expect From The MVL Monster Bars Disposable Vape Range?
With a 20mg salt nicotine strength, they’re perfectly suited to regular smokers. It’s one of the most effective ways to ditch the dirty habit. There are also higher capacity 0 mg (Nicotine Free) versions available.
The nicotine fix is delivered quickly via a smooth MTL (Mouth To Lung) inhale and there’s no irritation to the throat.
The disposables are ready to vape straight out of the box and are TPD Compliant.
A 550mAh integrated battery should ensure the included 2ml of E-liquid lasts anything up to 600 puffs.
In case you’re wondering, 600 puffs is roughly the equivalent of 20 cigs.
A single vertical mesh coil fires into life as soon as the auto draw function is activated.
So I’ve been lucky enough to get my meat hooks on six in the range. There are a total of thirteen to choose from including fruits, Jam, Custard, Mint, Tobacco and drinks categories.

Cinnamon Milk
MVL Says:
This delightful treat is pretty straightforward. Since just about everyone asked us to do it, we present to you a Cinnamon, toasted, crunchy Milk.
I Say:
There’s a very strong smell of Vanilla and maybe a hint of Custard when I prise this bad boy from the wrapper.
I do love a Cinnamon vape so how does it translate?
Very good! In fact, I’m pretty gob smacked at how well it’s been represented here.
The Cinnamon is as spicy as I was hoping. There’s no mistaking the characteristics.
I know exactly what MVL has done to recreate the milky notes and to be honest, they haven’t entirely succeeded.
Vanilla and Custard has already been mentioned and I think those are the concentrates that have been added. It almost works were it not for the sweetness that kicks in towards the end of the exhale.
And that’s the only thing to really mar this flavour. It arrives too late in my opinion and when it does – there’s a bit too much.
That doesn’t stop Cinnamon Milk from being right up my vape alley!
Fruity Milk
MVL Says:
A fruity medley that yields an intense yet balanced flavour of fruit cereal steeped in Milk.
I Say:
It’s all about the citrus content with Fruity Milk.
Born from both Orange and Lemon. Yet there’s more going on with the exhale than just those two fruits. There do appear to be cereal, grainy back notes included.
Generally speaking it’s a quite subtle tasting vape. Don’t expect an explosion of flavours, rather a careful and cunning blending of fruit.
That flavour is lifted from blandness thanks to a thin channel of sweetness and that stops the vape from falling into dry territory.
I also think the milky content is on par. It’s as far removed from the efforts of Cinnamon Milk as it gets.
It’s not perfect but still does enough to push some space between the Orange and Lemon.
Not quite the “Fruit Loops” experience I was anticipating but neither is it a bad cereal creation.
I could happily vape this one all day.
Mint
MVL Says:
Sadly the description from the MVL website seems to be incorrect?
From the best flavour makers in the game comes the best-tasting Tobacco vape to hit the market! Tobacco Monster is a vape for the true tobacco aficionados looking for an incredible Menthol taste.
I Say:
Yep! That Menthol is a kicker, alright!
Be prepared for a frosty cold blast to the ‘ole tonsils on the inhale with this one.
The Spearmint is very strong tasting but honestly? The best Tobacco tasting vape?
I can’t detect the slightest hint from this one. If it’s there, I have a problem with my taste receptors. It’s just a classic Spearmint and Menthol vape in my opinion.
So if I were to score this on the flavour name and not the actual description I’d have very little cause for concern.
I’ve vaped this from start to finish and my assessment remains.
So that’s a shame because it inevitably impacts on the final score.
Smooth Tobacco
MVL Says:
From the best flavour makers in the game comes the best tasting Tobacco vape to hit the market! Tobacco Monster is a vape for the true tobacco aficionados looking for a luxuriously Smooth taste with hints of Spanish Cream.
I Say:
I’ve tried this one already with the MVL Tobacco Monster E-liquid range. Anticipation levels are high so how does it compare as a disposable vape?
It’s not quite the same.
The creamier elements have definitely been toned down in favour of more Tobacco during the exhale.
In many ways that’s understandable because you’re stuck with a constant power output with disposables. There’s no opportunity to tweak settings to enhance particular flavour notes.
As a consequence this is a Tobacco flavour that tastes like, er.. cool ash.
Again the sweeter properties tend to appear too late in the vape, lining the tongue without ever really setting the scene.
It’s certainly not the worst Tobacco vape I’ve tried and may well have enough to entice the newer vaper.
I guess in the back of my mind I know it can taste better.
Strawberry Jam
MVL Says:
The flagship flavour from Monster Vape Labs – Jam Monster! Strawberry Jam Monster is the flavour that started it all, combining the fresh, sweet flavours of Strawberry Jam with savoury Butter spread over toast for a mind-blowing experience perfect for every day.
I Say:
Not bad but not as effective as I was expecting.
The Strawberry flavour is quite appealing but the Jam aspect has real problems during exhale.
That’s because it simply doesn’t pack enough punch. It doesn’t carry the same depth, richness or texture that Jam has.
It almost translates as a candy inspired vape – not necessarily a bad thing but in no way keeping with the flavour promise.
There seems to be a lot of ’empty space’ with Strawberry Jam and something seems adrift with the end result.
I think much has to do with the cooler nature of the vape. It certainly doesn’t help and the sweetness of the Jam should be part of the main theme but isn’t.
Once again I find it arriving too late to the vape party.
Watermelon Lemonade
MVL Says:
Watermelon Lemonade is a freshly squeezed Lemonade infused with bright fruits that never fails to satisfy on the hottest days of the summer season. It’s a delectable mixture that’s both sweet and sour from combining the tanginess of ripe, Yellow Lemons with the sweetness of freshly picked Watermelons.
I Say:
This isn’t a bad fusion of fruity flavour.
However, the Watermelon isn’t the most natural tasting and the Lemonade lacks the zest and sparkle I would’ve liked.
Yet there’s no denying that both main ingredients are on show and that’s the true acid test.
The Watermelon is introduced first during exhale and Lemonade arrives shortly after.
It’s a cool, pleasant taste and the combination of the two does work quite well.
I’m still left feeling there should be more citrus, sweetness and a few bitter back notes to compliment the Watermelon but that’s just one persons opinion.
So Watermelon Lemonade may come across as drier than it possibly should. This is one of those flavours that could’ve benefited from a touch of Koolada.
Battery Performance and Number of Puffs
I got a total of 8 hours continuous use from the MVL Monster Bars disposable vapes.
Not bad at all because with my vaping habits that works out to roughly 550 – 600 puffs.
The flavours remain consistent throughout use too. It only begins to stutter or weaken minutes before the battery fails.
Does that mean there’s E-liquid still remaining?
I don’t think so. I think the timing is bob on and the coil resistance (whatever it is) is perfectly suited to battery/E-liquid levels.
In use, the LED on the base of the disposable illuminates solid Blue. Once the battery is dead it flashes Blue 10 times and it’s vape over!
Final Review Verdict
The MVL Monster Bars disposables suffer from the same awkward MTL vape as the Classics series. That’s to say it’s not the most comfortable of inhales.
Having said that it’s a very quiet and turbulence free inhale. Newer vapers aren’t even likely to tell much difference between these and the draw from a cigarette.
I just feel there are disposables capable of a better MTL draw in my opinion.
As for the flavours. Quite promising at times even if MVL have alternative ways of producing a milky taste, that’s where I think the disposables worked their best.
It’s also refreshing to sample a range that doesn’t need Koolada to prop it up, although Watermelon Lemonade could’ve done with some.
I also had an issue with the sweetness, often arriving too little too late.
.. There’s no pleasing me sometimes!
As far as vapour production is concerned, the range is bang on. Absolutely no complaints. The volume is identical to that of a cig.
