Multicig by Multivape
Multicig are a UK brand based out of Leicester that have a really tight selection of e cig products. They have a disposable, a cig-a-like and a ‘Vape Pen’ kit which offers longer battery life and improved performance. The latter, the Multivape, is the kit we are going to be taking a closer look at with this review.
This was sent to us free of charge for the purposes of this review but as always our views are our own.
In the box / Presentation
The Multivape starter kit comes in a tidy package and contains the following:
- 1 x Aspire 900 mAh manual battery
- 1 x Aspire BDC Clearomiser
- 1 x 7ml bottle of e-liquid (Tobacco leaf or Menthol Mist)
- USB Charger
Battery / Responsiveness
The Multivape kit comes complete with a 900 mAh manual battery that is finished in stainless steel, which I personally think looks great.
The first thing to note here is the quality of the battery, many kits you will come across similar to this can be generic EGO type batteries and whilst 95% of the time there is nothing wrong with these it can sometimes be a bit hit and miss. The great thing about the Multivape kit is that they are using components made by a brand called Aspire who are a one of the bigger players in the e cig world that manufacturer some quality e cig products. So definitely a plus point.
The battery has the usual features that would be expected with e cigs now a days with the 5 click on/off function and flashing indicator to let you know when the battery needs a re-charge.
Performance
Performance wise the 900 mAh battery was easily seeing me through most of the day before a re-charge was needed so all good there. I would however still recommend adding a spare battery to your order so you can alternate batteries and ensure you always have a functioning e cig. Nothing worst than running out of charge when you need your nicotine fix!
The coils used in the clearomiser are also a lower resistance coil (1.8ohm) that can result in the battery running down a little quicker so the extra battery is a good safeguard.
When a charge is needed it’s a simple case of screwing the battery into the USB charger, the light on the USB will be red to indicate the battery is charging, it will then turn green when the charge is complete. One very important thing to note here is to only use the chargers that come with the e cig battery.
This isn’t just with the Multivape battery but is applicable to any e cig brand you buy, don’t be tempted to use chargers meant for other electrical gear! Very important, this is the reason there have been reports of exploding batteries recently!
Overall – Very good, the Aspire battery performs well and has a quality feel, I was getting pretty much a full day of moderate vaping from the battery.
Vapour / Flavour
Again Multivape have used an Aspire made clearomiser and this one is very good, the Aspire BDC.
Flavour wise there are two options with the e cig kit – Menthol and Tobacco in a PG/VG mix, 18mg nicotine strength. Not a huge choice but for those new to e cigs it’s all you need as a starting point.
I tried both flavours and while I personally found the Tobacco Leaf to be one of the better tobacco flavours I have tried, giving a good realistic taste, the Menthol Mist was probably at the bottom rung of the menthol’s I have come across. It just came across too overpowering for my personal taste, this could be down to the nicotine strength though which is higher than my normal 6mg/11mg preference. As always though flavours are without doubt a personal preference.
Another thing of note is the vapour volume, with the Tobacco Leaf this was excellent, I was getting tons of vapour. This is mainly down to two things, first being the 1.8 ohm coil which allows more power to the coil which in turn sends more heat to the e-liquid. The other is that the e-liquid is a PG/VG mix, VG does allow for more vapour in general.
The good thing if you are moving up from cig-a-likes to vape pens or are simply starting here is that you can have a good play around with e-liquid flavours and there are a lot out there! For me though it is half the fun trying out new things. Multivape do of course have their own e-liquid selection and while still fairly small they do have Apple, Coffee and Vanilla to sample.
The only downside here is that they are only available in a minimum of 15ml bottles which is quite a lot if you just wanted to try the flavour out.
Buying replacement parts
Of course replacement parts and e-liquid will need to be purchased further down the line. The first thing you will find you need is e-liquid, Multivape offer 15ml and 30ml bottles in 12mg or 18mg nicotine strength.
The second thing is the coil heads, these can last anything from 6 refills and up, when the flavour starts to change this is the indicator new heads are needed.
Multivape sell 1.8 ohm coils in packs of 5.
I would suggest buying spares as soon as you can so you are not having to wait for new parts to arrive. The idea is to reduce disruption to vaping as much as possible to give you the greatest chance to stay of the tobacco.
The only thing I would like to see on their e-liquid product page is more info on the e-liquid origin as well as what is in the e-liquid. As it stands it doesn’t even say whether the e-liquid has a PG/VG base or a mix of the two. Also smaller tester packs for the different flavours would be a great way to test out the juice without having to invest in a big bottle.
Overall – The Tobacco Leaf I found to be very good, the Menthol Mist not so much for my tastes, I didn’t get on with this at all. The kit comes with 1.8 Ohm coils which produce some great vapour volume. Taking out the menthol everything was great.
Returns / Warranty
Multicig do have a graphic stating they offer a ’30 Day Money Back Promise’ although I could not find any information on this on their site (at time of writing) so I can’t comment on what it is they actually offer.
I did email customer services but after an initial quick couple of responses, that didn’t answer my question, I failed to hear back which was quite disappointing. I am also no clearer as to what their returns policy actually is?
Customer Service
Multicig can be contacted by phone, email and they are active on Facebook and Twitter. Response was initially quick via email but my last response to them didn’t get a reply.
Overall – Final Verdict
Multicig have put together a great product in the Multivape and using both an Aspire battery and Aspire BDC clearomiser goes some way to ensuring the quality is good. I really don’t have too many negatives about this e cig kit, the only thing I didn’t like was the Menthol Mist e-liquid, but taste as we know is a subjective thing.
So just to summarise:
What we liked
- Overall quality and performance is very good
- The Aspire BDC clearomiser is a great performer good flavour and lots of vapour
- Great option for new vapers wanting performance over the ‘cig-a-like’
- Great option for cig-a-like e cig users looking to make the step up
- Tobacco leaf e-liquid flavour is very good
What we didn’t like
- Menthol Mist e-liquid flavour wasn’t good (for us)
- Returns Policy not clear on website and customer services couldn’t advise what their return policy was.
Final Multivape E Cig Kit Review Verdict:
Highly Recommended by ecigclick
I bought a sabre mv at a garage on my way home and unfortunately the battery did not work. I emailed the company and received a prompt email back from them requesting a number to call me on which I did. I received excellent customer service and a replacement in the post next morning with an envelope prepaid to return faulty pack. I’m extremely impressed with the service and the vape pen. Well done 👍🏻 🙂
I’ve had a lot of kits including a smok alien but they were all too harsh this 1 like most of you I got from the garage on the way home at first they had the plastic tanks that I constantly broke ( im very clumsy )but the new metal ones are fantastic the coils are easy to change and if you prime them properly will last a week overall I have had a great time with my thin little friend .
Right everyone reading all your comments I feel like I need to give a bit of input.
I bought one of these from a BP garage one morning on my way to work just because I had been on a massive sesh the weekend and had smoked waaaaay too many fags, I can sympathise with all the above negative comments BUT and it is a big but, the only reason most of these problems occurred were 3 little easily solvable issues which I will try help solve in a min.
But before I do I need to tell you since I first bought this little gem and sussed out the issues and how to fix em I have gone on to way more advanced and a hell of a lot more complicated box mods with different tanks different coils that use watts, volts, temp control, mouth to lung, direct to lung, OHM, sub OHM and so on and so on ( head spinning yet? No idea what I’m talking about? Yeah mine was in fact still is but I’m getting there😉) but I still have mine and still use it on my box mod because it’s a good piece of kit if used right.
Right issue 1 tank – leaking/breaking easy, yup it does but only because the plastic tank it comes with is how can I put this? Erm sh*t.
Go to your local vape shop get a glass one boom no leaks no breaking in ya hand👍🏼
Issue 2 – coils not lasting longer than a day. Prime em up well before use ie.
See the little white holes on the side of the coil?
Well that’s the cotton that holds the juice if they ain’t soaked in juice before you use it then it will die very quickly, so before you put the new one in put a good dab of your juice in/on each hole and let it soak in, fit it as normal fill the tank and leave it for a few mins but before you press ya button have a good 5-15 hard sucks to draw it through (without pressing the button very important kids no power👍🏼)
And finally get a spare battery, I really recommend a vision spinner II it’s a bit bigger but you can adjust the power just by twisting the bottom and trust me you will have a totally different experience, as I said at the start I have progressed way way passed the stage your at and still use mine every so often (oh and for ya juice JAC vapour banana milkshake tastes just like yazzoo😋).
Sorry for jumping all over your thread and writing an essay but I had the same problems but figured em out and the little fella turned out to be a lil gem that really helped me get off the cancer sticks👊🏼 I hope this helps (if you can be arsed reading this essay lol)
Adios amigos

Great input Robert! I’m sure that will help many 🙂
I have a question. Does someone knows what ratio (PG and VG) juice i can fill up in this tank and not get dry hit?
Absolutely rubbish vape pen, you put liquid in and it leaks into the top of the battery everytime, I have suffered this peice of c**p for months now, made the mistake of buying extra coils so wanted to use them up, I’m getting a better one and chucking this junk in the bin!
I’ve bought a couple of these and both times the clearomiser has completely broken off. If you drop it, or even leave it in your bag like I did it’s liable to break off. Terrible manufacturing, don’t waste your money.
I have not touched tobacco in 5 years, relying on nicotine cartridge inhalers for my fix. These eventually became far too expensive, I also had side effects like itchy skin. so I turned to multivape. I now take less puffs, using low level nicotine based e-liquids. I wish these were available before cartridge inhalers, as I feel they could have helped end my dependency on nicotine much quicker. I like everything about this product, the build quality is really nice. It’s actually quite a flashy gadget to own – a kind of retro nod to victorian styling in design but at the same time contemporary (like a Doctor Who sonic screwdriver) love the way it looks. More importantly, it is reliable and works for me.
Never had a smoke since September updated my e cig in Dec to the mvape had 2 and they both broken
I use to think I was swapping one habit for another but in actual fact I don’t pick the e cig up as much as I did a real cigarette I’ve not had a real cigarette for over three months and I must say I don’t think I’d of stayed stopped had it not been for the Multi vape they have a range of flavours I’ve not tried them all but the strawberry one smells nice and doesn’t taste too bad either eventually after quiting and being stopped a while I found vaping to be quite harsh on my throat so I swapped for zero nicotine and when ever I get a thought about those horrid sticks I pick up my vape and eradicate the thought best buy for me ?
If it taste like a real cig or closer it would be ten out of ten but I’ll need to try other oils from other companies to see if this is a norm flavour for oils or if it’s as bad as I think, it’s too sweet and no smoke flavour at all, but for vapour hit and not craving nicotine it’s boss. Never had a vanilla or blueberry cig so don’t want the oils either
Twice I’ve messed up refilling and got liquid into the central tube. The seal on the coil is not always tight enough. Can be solved with a good clean but it’s irritating when it happens and the greasy taste is absolutely foul and lingers for ages.
Otherwise this is a great product for a very good price. I dislike the liquid they provide in the pack and gave it away preferring to use a fruity liquid. My friend loves it so it must be good if you like the taste of tobacco vapes.
I can’t believe how easy giving up smoking has been with this, I started with a patch plus vaping on day one, by day two I knew I didn’t need the patch anymore. I actually prefer vaping to smoking, no mess, no smell and no guilt too. Even though there are costs involved with vaping they are nowhere near what I was spending on smoking. I just wish I had tried sooner. After 30 years of smoking, I’ve been free of it for a month now and never plan on going back, not because smoking is bad for you, but because I’ve found something I prefer.
All in all a good product ,had tried a few others ,but this is the one for me ,,,,,,,they need cleaning regularity and I use pipe cleaners bent in half ,also battery needs cleaning on contact point to get the best out of it
Don’t miss real smoking one bit
I tried lots of different methods to stop, patches, spray even braved cold turkey i was not a nice person then I instantly took to the e.cig device and never have the urge to spark up a real one.
Side info for those with gurgling only half fill the reservoir as overfilling can make the wick become sodden with oils also some small puffs at first to prime it for the long draw u need.
If u get fluid inside the mouth piece i took a cotton wool bud and stripped it down to fit the hole so I could dry off down the spout and also done this for the coil and have not had a problem since.
Hope this helps people.
As above in my previous comments…everything seems great so far with this product just the tobacco flavour liquid lets it down :/ hopefully the company see these comments and produce another tobacco flavour!
I think it’s a great package. Just buy and you’re all ready to go. The battery charged pretty quickly too (just plugged it into the USB charger in the car while driving – as I said, I bought it at a petrol station after leaving my usual one at home). I found it easy to use and slightly easier to fill than my usual Kanger as the tank is clear all round and it’s easier to see where the liquid is going. My only gripe is the liquid that came with it. It tasted awful. Luckily I had some of my usual juice in my bag so I used that instead once I’d emptied out the tank. All in all however, I’m very happy with this product and it now lives in my bag as my “emergency” backup.
I really like the product but haven’t tried anything else. Used it for 5 days before it needed charging which I found difficult and needed my husband to work out how! The light flashed but when put in charger it was green not red – brought it home thinking it was broken but you need to screw the unit into the charger unit to charge. It then took a couple of hours to fully charge. Not keen on the tobacco flavour but a friend gave me some skittles flavour and mixed in it tastes good. It does bubble and makes an odd noise and changing the coil has not stopped this so I am guessing it is a feature of the product. My family can’t believe that I am happy using the product and not smoking in the day at all. I am having one cigarette first thing in the morning and one last thing at night but I really don’t know why! I have been lucky as there are a good crowd if vapers at work who have been very supportive. I know that the habits are the hardest to kick but I feel that I have just replaced cigarettes with this and one major bonus is that I am much warmer – no rolling the window down in the car at -6 and the car smells of skittles. Am going to buy another one today and try more flavours so that I don’t run out of battery or juice. Positive experience
Easy to use, easy to maintain….
After over 30 years of smoking it has helped me stop…
Highly recommended
on a whole I think its a good product and would recommend however I’m a bit concerned about it overheating and the amount of leakage !!! it doesn’t happen all the time but the battery connection can be full so a lot of fluid gets wasted when trying to fix .
I broke my last device after sitting on it! It was an entry level type with a plastic wick atomisers. I found the replacement atomisers very inconsistent , often producing a burnt smell after a few uses, gurgling or lacking in vapour. I became dismayed with the process.
An ecig shop where I purchased my last lot of wick atomisers suggested the BDC type. I persisted with the wick types and all 3 were faulty. My local petrol garage sold this unit , so I invested when my previous unit broke.
The quality of the vapor hit and the Look and feel of the device is far superior to my previous version and at the same price point. The included tobacco flavour fluid is not great but a low concentration mix with Apple or blueberry is fine and provides an adequate hit and vapour.
My overall concern with vaping is the potential long term dependancy. Vaping is far more accessible than cigarettes and the dose is questionable. When I drink socially I am concerned I over use the device
Specifically on this device I am happy with the performance and price and shall continue to use it in place of my daily cigs.
Really great product. Picked it up on a whim at a local petrol stations. Initially wary as garage kits can be cheap and nasty, and had fallen for a cheap vape kit before.
This is almost the bees knees. Very well made, feels quality and vapes really well. I do have issues with some mild internal leakage, but nothing a very quick clean sorts out maybe twice a week.
Would be nice if the tank was glass instead of plastic, but it reflects the very reasonable price of £19.99 for the kit.
Juice selection is getting better, with new ones recently added and these juices are made in the UK and not China, which is an instant positive for me. I’ve not tried too many, as I’ve found a mix of the 12mg apple and vanilla to be irresistible.
The coils last around a week, but I’ve had 1 or 2 pack up within an hour, and £9.99 for a pack of 5 isn’t as cheap as the kanger ones on eBay. I had a spare battery die within a couple of days, but, the original battery is still going strong.
The ultimate positive for me is that the garage round the corner from me stocks everything, and the staff say they can’t keep up with demand.
Definately worth a go if you’re considering packing in the analogies, for the price of 40 cigs it’s a no brainer.
Very good price for the quality, picked it up for £20 at a petrol station with a spare coil, charger and liquid included. Produces alot of vapour, I have tried a lot of other vaporisers for 3 years and went off them, this has brought me back! I have even quit smoking, been offered alot of and dont even feel like it, especially in the winter. Very good build quality, better than the cheapo plastic ones and the best thing is you can use any vaporising liqiud (even the new cannabis ones 🙂 ), also the 12mg / 24mg nicotines really do the trick!
I do think that this is a good bit of kit. Personally I think that the tobacco e-liquid it ships with is sub-standard. As is also the battery.
BUT that is my taste. I am sure that this company have done their market research and know whom they are hitting with it.
Using the Aspire items shows that they have made a very good choice. And comes in at a good price.
Coils lasting one day not good when your on a 12 hour shift and it breaks down, feeling fustrated with this product bought two in one week and both where crap.
Great product… Can not praise enough. High quality materials used to manufacture it. Aspire have the details just right. The menthol most is brilliant in my eyes but I donlike strong menthol. As previous reviews have said in lower dose nicotine then menthol does not see so strong. Would highly recommend. One con would be the availability of the consumables in shops.
I have found it really easy to cut out the fags. I’m also using 1mg nicotine lozenges. I love the fact that this product looks nothing like a cigarette. Attractive design – only negative didn’t come with a pouch. I’m using this for the fourth day and haven’t had to recharge the battery.
Would recommend it to any one. 25 quid for starter kit even though you only get one battery and one atomiser unlike a lot of other companies it works and vapes a lot better than others
Total quality, and the best vape I’ve had, love this product.
Easy to clean, and change coils!
Simply the best
