The MOK Magic Stick is the latest pod kit from Mok Electronic Cigarette Technology Co.
To say it looks a bit different would be an understatement, with its unique design shape and the option now of purchasing a lollipop stick for it separately, I’m kinda pleased they have removed it from the UK version.
Mok Electronic Cigarette Technology Co. (from now on just Mok, it’s quite a mouthful otherwise) are based out of Shenzhen China.
To be honest I have not had any experience of them prior to the Mok Magic stick.
With the exception of the company website I am having trouble finding any other products other than the Mok Magic Stick online.
They do appear to have a couple more pod style systems coming and a box mod kit.
Again, I can only find these on the company web site.
Relatively still a new product you will more than likely only find this in online stores for the time being.
What Can We Expect From The Mok Magic Stick?
The Mok Magic Stick is a refillable pod system.
The pod has a 2ml capacity with bottom filling and boasting a leak proof design.
I do like testing the leak proof claims.
The Mok Magic Stick is designed to be kept on a lanyard/sling and does come with two different sized slings, a wrist sling and one for around the neck.
The pods are held in place by two conductive pins (think of the battery as a plug and the pod is the wall socket) and are simple to change and refill.
The airflow from the pod has a medium restriction and you will get a vape between 10w to 16 watts with the pods 1.5ohm coil.
The Mok Magic Stick comes in 8 different colour options and there is bound to be an option you like.
For those that have seen the Mok Magic Stick before online, there is an option to buy a stick separately, although in the Asian markets this does come with the kit.
You would basically unscrew the handle and screw in the stick.
An interesting looking device, let’s get a pod filled up and take it out and about.
The Mok Magic Stick was sent to me for the purposes of this review, I will give you my honest opinion, I have been testing this product for a couple of weeks.

Design and Build Quality
The Mok Magic Stick is an unusual small looking device.
If you are not using a sling with it, this will fit in any pocket easily.
It is a pretty solid device, after furious shaking I didn’t pick up any rattles and more importantly the pod showed no sign of falling out.
The airflow is non adjustable and for me this is not a con as it is pretty much just right.
The leak-proof claim is true from what I can see, this little device has lived around my neck for two weeks now on the large sling, hanging upside down and there has not been a single drop of juice on my favourite geeky t-shirts.
The pod itself is a dark smoked plastic, your juice level is completely visible through it as is the cotton and coil.
The cotton in the coil sits like a perfect little bow tie……not that I wear bow ties, well, not often, maybe twice.
The Mok Magic Stick has an LED light on the side, this will light up when charging and when you are taking a vape from it.
The USB charge port is under the pod, so you do need to remove the pod when you need to charge it.
This does mean that it’s physically impossible to vape on it whilst it is charging.
Fire Button | Airflow
The Mok Magic Stick is a draw to activate device, no buttons whatsoever. No need to figure out how to switch on or off, just take a vape and away it goes.
The airflow is non adjustable.
For me it is not overly tight and it is not too airy, smack bang in the middle and just where I like it, starting to sound like Goldilocks here.
The Mok Magic Stick Pods
The Mok Magic Stick comes with two pods.
The pods contain a 1.5ohm coil with cotton.
This is visible through the plastic pod.
Filling is quite simple, there is a rubber bung on the bottom of the coil, open it and fill.
For you first time using, you should let the pod sit for about 5 minutes just to make sure that the cotton soaks up the juice into the middle of the coil.
I would recommend topping up once you see the juice getting near the bottom of the cotton bow tie, you really don’t want to risk burning out that coil prematurely.
You will feel the pod heat up slightly if you are chain vaping it.
I’ve chained it for a few minutes and it doesn’t get anywhere near too hot, I’m just noting it will feel warm.
How Does The Mok Magic Stick Perform?
Lets start off with the “8 second cut-off”.
So when you are taking a vape, the device should basically switch off after 8 seconds, this is a good safety feature as it protects against over heating during use.
I’m not getting 8 seconds, I have timed it several times and it is cutting off around 6 seconds.
What’s 2 seconds some may ask, my wife would say a lot, in all honesty, it can have a pretty serious effect on your vape experience.
Now I’m not saying 6 seconds is not long enough, for me it was just right and it is a big bonus over those device that cut off after 4 seconds, there are people out there that can pull for a full 8 seconds plus.
Lets get into filling and replacing the pods.
How To Change The Mok Magic Stick Pod
This is the easiest process ever:
- Pull out the old pod
- Fill new pod with juice
- Place new pod in Mok Battery
That’s it, let it sit/prime for 5 minutes and you are good to go.

How to fill the Mok Magic Stick
It is very simple:
- Pull out the pod from the Mok Magic Stick
- Hold the pod upside down and open the rubber bung, it is attached to the pod so you don’t have to worry about dropping it
- Fill with your preferred juice
- Place the rubber bung back into the hole firmly
- Place the pod back into the Mok battery
If you have not let the pod run dry you should be good to go straight after refill, although if you have, I would let it sit for a few minutes before you vape.
Flavour and Vapour Production
I use the same juices in all reviews to keep the scoring consistent.
The juices used where Pure Mist BL 50/50, Vampire Vape Pinkman 60/40 and Excision Harambe 70/30.
I have thrown another juice into the mix going forward, Riot Squads Riot Salt Bubblegum, which is a 50/50 nic salt.
Read more:
With the Pure mist, the tobacco flavour came through well, this is a standard nic juice and I also got a bit of a throat hit from it. 8 out of 10.
The Vampire Vape Pinkman, which is a nic salt juice, the fruit flavours here were pretty bang on, nice throat hit from the nic salt, really cannot fault this one at all. 10 out of 10.
Excision Harambe, with a lot of pods and AIO kits, I do worry about getting a dry hit with a thicker juice, but with the cotton pretty much smack bang in the middle of the juice wells this vaped great, no signs of dry hits when chaining and the flavour was pretty good too. 9 out of 10.
Riot Squads Riot Salt Bubblegum, this is relatively a new juice on my shelf and I really enjoy the old school Hubba Bubba bubblegum flavour from it so I had to add it to the reviews and the Mok Magic stick did not disappoint. 9 out of 10.
Vapor production is not huge, about average for a MTL, definitely not going to be hot boxing and setting off the smoke alarms in the house.

Mok Magic Stick Pod Life
During the two weeks of testing, I did use a couple of pods for the flavour test, but I always reverted back to the original pod to check its life span.
The initial pod was going strong up the last day of testing and I’m starting to pick up on a slight, very slight burning taste in the juice.
I am a pretty heavy vaper and there is always some vape device in my hand….even when typing.
So you can probably expect to get between 2 to 3 weeks out of a pod depending on your usage.
Again as I always say, the juice is going to have a major part to play in this, the sweeter the juice, the shorter the coils life span.
Airflow | Draw
I find this easier to compare to the stinkies instead of vape devices that some may not even have heard of, on that note, I would definitely put the airflow on this right there with a Marlboro Red.
Juice Consumption
The consumption is excellent, especially with the thicker juice, there were times when I was contemplating trying to empty the pod to put in a different flavour cause it was taking so long to empty.
Vapour Production
Look, it’s an MTL pod kit, you are going to have an average amount of vapour from the device, enough to blow a few O’s but that’s about it.
Battery Life
The 250mAh battery charges in about an hour, I wasn’t getting a full day out of it, but I was getting a full working day.
A little top up of electricity on the drive home and it was good for the rest of the day.
To charge the battery pull out the pod, the USB port is located underneath.
This does mean that vaping while charging is completely off the table with this one, so make sure this is not your only device but if it is, it’ll only take and hour to fully charge.
Pros
- Compact Design
- Easy to use
- Fits in literally any pocket
- Good Battery Life
- Excellent flavour
- Leak proof
Cons
- 6 not 8 second cut off
Final Review Verdict
Yes yes I know, some people will look at it and ask how is the compact design a pro.
If that lollipop stick had come with it, it would be in the con section.
This is my opinion and I stand over it.
Its strange looking, it’s different and I like it!
The vape experience has turned a “What the heck is that” into a “Don’t you dare touch my Mok”.
Let’s get serious about the vape though, for a pod device, that flavour, the quality of that vape, this device is fantastic.
Yes, for two weeks solid and to this second, it is hanging around my neck on the long sling, but it is under my t-shirt.
It could have been much worse, it could have come with that stick addition and I could have been walking around with a strange looking lollipop in my hand trying to decide whether to lick it or vape it.
The fact that it is now a separate purchase is a huge plus from me.
Such an easy device to use and I genuinely believe that this device would help people stay off the stinkies.
The quality of vape is just that good.
Perfect for new vapers.
Would hardened vapers like this?
You know what, I’d like to think of myself as one and I do like it.
Personal taste is just that, personal.
