Mirage Platinum E Liquids Reviewed

I was fortunate enough to spend quite a while chatting with the team from Mirage Vape Stores at the recent Vaper Expo.

Mirage is based in Sheffield but has spread its vaping empire as far as Newquay with 40 shops now opened across the UK.

They also brew their own range of e-liquids that are fully TPD / TRPR compliant including their Mirage Platinum e liquid Range which includes 10 flavours.

Not only that they’ve also just brought out the Mirage Mech Mod which I was able to handle at Vaper Expo and all I can say is it’s one hell of a device!

OK, there’s a total of ten flavours in the Platinum Range ranging from fruit to dessert and one tobacco.

I was using the Augvape Druga RDA and the VaporFi Venom at a variety of wattages and freshly wicked for each flavour.

So can Mirage grab a spot on our Best Vape Juice UK list? As always my thoughts and opinions are my own.

Dodger by Mirage

Mirage says:

Crisp buttery biscuit, with a hint of the finest sweet raspberries. A classic combination!

I Say:

Ah the good old Jammy Dodger biscuit and this is exactly that in an e-liquid!

Very nice biscuit base on the inhale with an almost instant hit of raspberry jam – delicious and without the crumbs of weight gain!

[there’s an error on the Dodger description on the website which had me fooled for a while – so I guess I do know my flavours lol]

Sly Fox by Mirage

Mirage Says:

Divine, Fresh Ginger Bread. Freshly baked ginger bread, warm, chewy and fresh from the oven. Perfect with a nice cup of tea.

I Say:

If you like Parkin – a kind of Northern sticky gingerbread cake – then this is going to blow your mind.

Ginger can be extremely overpowering but the blending here is perfect.

You get a delicious warming sweetness on the inhale with rich sweet stickiness before the ginger rolls beautifully off the tongue on the exhale – nice throat hit too.

Acacia by Mirage

Mirage says:

Heady, Bready Banana Nut Loaf. Expertly baked banana bread with a hint of caramel and a sprinkling of roasted hazelnuts. Rich and satisfying.

I say:

Banana is one of those e-liquid flavours you either get right or you get that chemical taste.

I’m pleased to say the mixoligist here has got that troublesome flavour spot on – this is delicious!

Sweet ripe banana on the inhale joins creamy caramel before the whole vape is rounded off by gorgeous crumbly nuts – this is heaven to vape!

Nutz by Mirage

Mirage Says:

You’ll go Nutz For it! Roasted mixed nuts, Muscovado sugar and rich dairy cream.

I Say:

Yeah it’s true I did go nuts over this e-liquid!

Not sure if they still make them but I was getting the taste of a Topic bar centre – minus the chocolate.

This is quite simply a crunchy dairy delight with rich Muscovado sugar giving a terrific creamy toffee-like twist.

It’s quite rich but perfect with a cup of coffee.

SY4 by Mirage

Mirage Says:

South Yorkshire’s New Standard. Flue cured Virginia tobacco, caramel, English fudge and a dash of Madagascan vanilla. Our take on the classic RY4.

I Say:

I began vaping on a RY4 blend but no way was it as nice as this.

I usually vape tobacco e-liquids at a high nic level and low wattage – however I was able to sub ohm this one at zero nic and have to say it was a really enjoyable vaping experience – tobacco at zero I mean!

I was certainly able to enjoy the flavours more – no harsh throat hit and not too sweet either with the tobacco coming in over the top of the sweeter bits – very nice indeed.

Blockbuster by Mirage

Mirage says:

Freshly Popped for Opening Night. A complex blend of sweet cinema popcorn, vanilla bean and coconut. Incredibly moreish.

I Say:

I’m a sucker for popcorn and convince myself it’s less fattening than other ‘treats’ lol.

I have tried a number of popcorn e-liquids but none match up to Blockbuster trust me.

Sweet and creamy popcorn on the inhale before a coconut surprise brings it all together in a bountiful blockbuster of taste 😉

Snatcher by Mirage

Mirage says:

Rich, Milky, Creamy Pudding. Chewy milk bottle sweets and vanilla ice cream, morphing slowly into a rich rice pudding.

I Say:

Anyone old enough to remember ‘Thatcher the Milk Snatcher’ will get the play on names here – yeah I was a milk monitor lol.

Anyway I love those little chewy milk bottle sweets and that’s what you get on the inhale a mouthful of creamy chewy goodness that gets better as a dollop of vanilla – rather than ice-cream – joins in.

The exhale is delicious – I tired but I couldn’t get rice pudding but I did get a sweet tasty vanilla custardy type flavour that was mouth-watering to say the least – very nice indeed!

5-OH by Mirage

Mirage Says:

The Fuzz’s Delight! Perfectly soft dough, covered in a deliciously sweet strawberry frosting. The ultimate donut flavour!

I Say:

At first I thought the fuzz might mean peach – it doesn’t especially when you add 5-OH to the mix!

This is one of the nicest donut vapes I’ve ever had – and we all know that donuts are a cop’s favourite – get this title now?

The taste of a soft chewy donut topped off with candy sweet strawberry icing – what’s not to like and should be called 5 oh my God!

Dragon by Mirage

Mirage says:

Puff Our Magic Dragon. Dragon fruit, masterfully blended with our secret combination of exotic tropical fruits. Mouth-wateringly delicious, THIS is the taste of summer.

I Say:

I had my first dragon fruit vape at VapeFest last summer and this one almost matches it.

You get that first kind of spicy warming dragon fruit hit that is soon joined by a sweet exotic fruit cocktail that creates a very refreshing vape.

Can’t put my finger on what the ‘secret combination’ is – but it’s bloody lovely and the perfect all day vape.

S’Moreish by Mirage

Mirage Says:

You’ll Be Left Crying Out For S’more. Velvety marshmallow and chocolate, served warm over crisp graham cracker. An American favourite.

I Say:

I’ve never actually tried the classic Smores e-liquid but if this is anything to go by then I really must!

The chocolate is a little muted but lifted by the sweet gooey marshmallow followed by an indeed extremely moreish biscuit base.

This is one for those special times and tastes absolutely stunning vaped with a pint of Abbot Ale 😉

Final Verdict on the Mirage E-Liquid Platinum Collection

I’m a hard taskmaster when it comes to e-liquids – some might say tasteless lol.

However.

I’ve just tried ten so called gourmet juices and can hand on heart say they deserve the name and much more.

These are tasty – moreish – perfectly blended and balanced and are probably among the very best e-liquids I’ve ever had the pleasure to vape.

These are 70 VG 30 PG mix and the vapour production was absolutely spot on with plenty of sweet smelling clouds.

They are pricey maybe – but trust me Mirage Platinum e liquids deserve to be called ‘gourmet e-liquids’ and with a capital G – made in the UK too 😉
