Given I’m the least ‘tecchy’ member of the EcigClick team I was obviously ‘The One’ to check out the new Neo sub-ohm kit by Mig Vapor.
This is vaping in cruise control on a very high tech scale.
The Mig Vapor Neo Kit – Is it the ONE?
There’s no need to mess around with temp control or the like – the chip inside does all that for you by instantly recognizing your coil – what wattage is needed and how you vape.
There’s no OLED screen just a fire button so absolutely nothing a vaping dummy such as myself can screw up – no seriously!
OK let’s drop the red pill and take a closer look at the Mig Vapor Neo to see if this can punch it’s way into our Best Vape Mod list!.

Build and Design Quality
As you’ve already gathered the most unique feature of this vaping device is the total lack of options – so those of you who love to tinker with your settings should probably look away now.
Not only does the NEO look pretty cool it’s as light as a feather and that’s despite having a built in 4500 mAh battery which can kick out a respectable 100watts and 4.2v. On arrival it was fully charged and two days on it’s showing no signs of draining.
I guess its lack of weight is helped by its aluminium body and I have to say right now the mod is covered by the most tactile rubbery/silicone covering I’ve ever touched – this device is just gorgeous to hold.
The funky sci-fi logo on the front will appeal to the younger crowd – at 55 I have to say it’s a little to gaudy for my tastes however it definitely has crowd appeal with more than a few people admiring it as it sat next to my pint.
The Neo mod is beautifully designed.
Lightweight body with the slightest curves to the overall boxy shape make it a perfect fit for your hand and as I said earlier the super soft coating is an absolute pleasure to touch and feel – no I don’t have a rubber fetish but it is so good to touch!!!
The lack of OLED screen doesn’t detract in the slightest and the large recessed fire button adds to the design and is pleasingly ‘clicky’.
5 clicks on and 5 clicks off – that’s it – simple!
There’s no ‘vape wait’ either – one click and this baby fires first time with no delay whatsoever.
Charging is as simple as plugging your usb cable [which is very short] into the slot on the base of the device. Sadly and given I work at a computer screen all day there’s no pass through but the longevity of this battery means that shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
Neo Top and Bottom Fill Tank
For once I’ve received a sub-ohm kit with a tank that I can honestly say does the job nicely.
The Neo tank sits atop the device with no overhang and actually looks pretty cool as a standalone too.
However packing the stainless steel version with a black mod does take away from the overall aesthetics if I’m honest – I mean silver with black is soooo last year 😉
I got the green model and Mig Vapor has thoughtfully added matching colour ‘O’ rings however as yet I haven’t switched them out.
The Neo kit comes complete with a pre-installed 0.4Ω Kanthal coil and you get a replacement 0.2Ω Ni too – the latter firing up to at least 550f.
The tank holds 4ml of e-liquid and can be top or bottom filled.
Personally I prefer top filling tanks – however the Neo tank can be fiddly as they’ve only added one fill hole. The problem with this is as you drip in your ejuice the air has nowhere to go and a bubble forms filling the top – it can take an age for it to leak in unless you pop the bubble with a pin!
However once filled [easier from the bottom] I have had no leakage or spit-back whatsoever.
Swapping coils is a doddle and can be done whilst the tank is filled – a massive thumbs up from me!
How Does The Mig Vapor Neo Perform?
Given this little vaping gizmo does all the thinking and settings tinkering automatically it’s difficult to say how it performs if I’m honest.
What I can say is I threw a few different tanks at it each with different coils from a 0.2 Cleito to an Aspire EVO with a 0.5 coil and the vape was smooth and flavoursome so I guess that ‘intelligent chip’ is doing its job for me!!!
The battery is fantastic – it arrived fully charged and two days of constant vaping and it’s still lit up green – this mod is the Duracell bunny of its type!
Neo Tank
It’s difficult to review a tank when the one you prefer to use day in and day out is so good (the Aspire Cleito).
As always my first few vapes with a new tank had me immediately going back to my old favourite. However in the interests of fairness I have stuck with the Neo tank for a few days now.
It’s design is OK with the coils ‘hidden’ behind a sheath and huge airflow holes (controllable) at its base.
As I’ve already mentioned top filling can be a pain but there has been no leaking whatsoever and you can of course load up your e-liquid from the bottom by screwing off the base.
The drip tip is removable should you wish to use your own however using the one provided meant my lips were touching the stainless steel top.
I didn’t get any heat at all I just didn’t like the feel of the slight beveling on my mouth.
Guess I must have sensitive lips lol.
With both the coils and using Mig Vapors own 70/30 e-juice [Mig Vapor MigQuid e Juice review] the clouds were impressive – very impressive.
The taste whilst flavoursome was a little lacking – but that of course could be down to personal taste.
It’s a tank that does exactly what it says on the tin – but buying it separately I’m not so sure but like I said I’m spoiled with the one I’ve got ;).

What I Like
I love its simplicity – just charge fill up and vape. Let the mod take the load life’s too short lol.
And I absolutely love the soft grippy skin – I really am getting a little carried away with this aspect of the Neo ain’t I lol!
What I Don’t Like
I’m not so sure about the Matrix style design on the front.
Sure I can see it appealing to very many people and it certainly makes this mod stand out – however my tastes have mellowed with age and this is just a little too NeoN for my tastes.
Given I’m the least technically minded of the team here I still actually like to know what I’m vaping at!
I guess I must learn to trust technology but all the while I’m vaping on the Neo there’s a little voice on my shoulder saying “what wattage? What temp?”
Final Review Verdict
I’ve sat back and thought long and hard about this.
Despite not knowing what the hell I’m vaping at I have to say I absolutely LOVE this device.
It feels so good in the hand and lets be fair as the least technically minded bloke on the planet let alone on EcigClick I’m not about tinkering my mods to the ‘unth’ degree.
Think of this as your Martini vaping mod – as in – ready to vape at any time and any place.
No need to worry about what coil is in your tank or what wattage to set things at – this little beauty knows everything [a bit like my ex] and does it all for you [NOT like my ex lol].
If I lost the Mig Vapor Neo down a rabbit hole would I replace it?
Absolutely.
Now where did I leave my long leather trench coat and wraparound shades..?
Pros
- An absolute cinch to use.
- Standout design.
- Light as an absolute feather.
- Battery life lasts forever.
- Feels great to hold [here we go again lol].
- No hassle – just charge and vape.
Cons
- For me the neon Neo logo is a little to gawdy.
- No pass through vaping.
- No idea at all what settings you’re vaping at [a paradox lol].
If you use the USA website it should only be 8 dollars shipping
Hello Neil, thank you so much for the fantastic review that you left for this starter kit I am trying to find a mod that is easier to use for my sister who has been vaping for two years now but because her Multiple Sclerosis is getting worse she finds it so difficult to use our hands changing coils etc… I loved the simplicity of this particular model but I am finding it very difficult to find anywhere in the UK that supplies this other than buying it direct from the USA.. please could you advise if you know of any sites where I could purchase this for her and indeed future purchasing of coils?
Kind regards
Stephan
