Although L&A vapes has been producing e-liquid in Bulgaria since 2010 I must admit this company is new to me.
Always keen to give any new vape produce a go I quickly popped the caps and had a good sniff. I have to admit that the smell was really quite good which had me nodding my head and hmmm-ing in positive way.
Each of the bottles are short fills. So they are 60ml bottles, filled with 50ml of e-liquid and leaving plenty of room for a nic shot, if required.
For those wanting to add a nic shot the bottles have a removable nozzle which keeps things clean and does away with the the struggle associated with adding nic. I wasn’t sent any nic-shots with the package, so I quickly headed out for enough to make each bottle 3mg.
I received this sample free of charge for the purpose of this review and as always, my views are my own.
Please remember that tastes are subjective, and your experience may be different to mine.
For this review I used my SX-Mini G Class and the 24mm Dead Rabbit RDA with Fralien coils, cleaned and re-wicked between each flavour.
L&A Vape | Shake & Vape | Harlem Gold
L&A Vape Says:
Smooth tobacco flavor with roasted caramelized nuts exhale taste, the All Day Vape tobacco King!
I say:
The smell from the bottle was suprisingly nutty. I know the profile inccludes nuts, but I wasn’t expecting this much. I didn’t get any tobacco smells, although there was a distinct richness present.
This was my first tobacco flavour and I wasn’t expecting to like it at all. The draw was smooth at 55w but a little rough above 60w. The nutty flavour hung around and this was a comforting vape that I enjoyed on an evening.
This would be one to look into if you like smooth flavours that don’t overpower.
L&A Vape | Shake & Vape | Sweet Blueberry
L&A Vape Says:
Sweet blueberry jam flavor!
I say:
There was a unsatisfying chemical smell here, with a slight fruitiness but nothing that make me take a second look in a brick and mortor store.
The flavour was definitely jammy, if a little unrefined. The blueberry wasn’t very prominent and could have been punchier for me as I like my fruit flavours to stand out.
After I got used to the flavour I started to appreciate it more, but I couldn’t get over the dry mouth I felt after a couple of hours use.
If you’re looking to try a new jam flavour, give this a go. But buy it for the jammy texture, not the blueberry flavour.
L&A Vape | Shake & Vape | Green Apple
L&A Vape Says:
The greenest apple you’ve ever tasted!
I say:
A pleasant apple boiled sweet smell. Not the fresh fruit bang I expected, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating, as they say.
The first draw was good, and the second and the third. Yeah, the apple is there. Not in a fresh way but more of an apple cordial way.
The exhale was soft and pleasing on the palate. I’m still not tired of this flavour and it’s definitely in my top 3.
If you enjoy your boiled sweet style vapes, I expect you to find this as pleasant as I did.
L&A Vape | Shake & Vape | Vanilla Creme
L&A Vape Says:
Vanilla custard flavor with just the right amount of sweetness!
I say:
The smell this is like vanilla coffee syrup. There’s a palatable sweetness here and a refinement I just haven’t found in the fruit flavours I’ve tested.
The draw is ultra-smooth. The vanilla is right and balances perfectly with the creamy custard. This flavour is like a comfy blanket. It’s warm and soft and I came back day after day to it.
The exhale is a soft as the inhale and the flavour doesn’t drop. I won’t go as far as to say it’s the best custard out there, but it’s bloody good.
L&A Vape | Shake & Vape | Cherry
L&A Vape Says:
Mouthwatering cherry flavor!
I say:
Nope. Now I’ve searched long and hard for a cherry flavour that lives up to my expectations of ripe fresh cherries of even cherry lip sweets that I remember from when I was a kid. I haven’t found it here.
The smell is more like the enhanced smell you get from the little jars of cocktail cherries.. Yeah, they smell great, but even they don’t come close to the real thing.
The inhale isn’t bad, but the aftertaste is almost waxy and doesn’t have any sweet or sour notes you’d expect. If someone blind tested me on this flavour I wouldn’t even enter cherry as one of my suggestions.
I’m sorry, this one is not for me, and I’d stretch to say that if you like cherries this one is not for you!
L&A Vape | Shake & Vape | Strawberry Banana
L&A Vape Says:
Banana strawberry swirl!
I say:
Now I don’t like anything banana. The taste, the texture, not a single thing. But this impressed me.
The smell is good. More banana than strawberry, so I was more than a little shocked when I found myself looking forward to trying it.
The flavour profile states a “swirl”. Now I can’t be certain, but I’m inclined to think that the swirl is chocolate in some form.
The flavour is deep, rich and I’m glad I was sent this as it’s opened my mind to trying other banana eliquids.
As for the strawberry, I’m quite lost with that one. It definitely isn’t a fresh, ripe fruit taste, but perhaps the strawberry is a nod to the slightly jammy texture of the vape.
I don’t know what it is about this flavour, but I wish they would send me more of it. The exhale is great, and this is where the that chocolatey mellowness comes in.
Do I like it? Yes. Will you? I hope so.
L&A Vape | Shake & Vape | Forrest Mix
L&A Vape Says:
A balanced mix of forest berries!
I say:
The smell is very much red berries. Think black forest fruits. But still that chemical smell I found in so many others in this batch leaves me a little disappointed.
There’s not one true flavour here that overrides the rest. It’s more like a mucky mix of concentrates
The inhale is nice and sharp. Fresh berries seem to be the order of the day here. There’s jammy body that becomes quite satisfying after the first few draws.
The flavour mellows on the exhale, but the taste profile stays the same.
This would be better had they ripened the berry flavour a bit more and included some dark fruits on the exhale.
Would I choose this in a tasting? No, the flavour for me just isn’t balanced enough for me.
Final Verdict
All of the L&A Vapes e-liquids came in with a 70/30 VG/PG mix (more on PG and VG here). The clouds were equally as thick throughout the range as was the long lasting flavour.
My feeling is that this is very much a budget brand (as the price would suggest) as the flavours simply don’t have the robustness of their premium counterparts.
In a rush or if caught short I would pick the majority of these flavours up, but I would lean towards the more savoury Harlem Gold or Vanilla Crème as they were by far the best of the bundle.
If you find any of these flavours sound like they are for you and you pick them up I would love to hear how your experience differs from mine.
