The Kuga Heat Knights pod kit review and this one looks very similar to my go too pod kit to say the least.
Before I get into that – Kuga Heat is a relatively new Hong Kong based vape company but with a pretty large global presence.
It specializes in both Heat Not Burn devices and pod kits, and including the Kuga Heat Knights, I’ve now reviewed 3 of the 4 set ups the company has sent.
Actually they’ve sent me all 7 of their products, however at this stage only want me to review 4…
I recently reviewed the Kuga Heat SHELLS – a disposable pod kit that is extremely well made – flavourful and great value for money.
And last week I looked at the Kuga Heat Desert Eagle HNB kit – as simple an HNB device you’d be hard to find and one I really enjoyed.
What Can We Expect From the Kuga Heat Knights?
Good flavour is what I always say!
The key here is the way to switch from DTL to RDTL vaping – you change it by which way you pop in the pod…more on that later.
The pods are 2ml capacity and the coils are replaceable and this can be draw activated or vaped using the fire button.
Not a lot more to say really so let’s take a good look at the Kuga Heat Knights pod kit.
Incidentally, Kuga means ‘gift of God‘ so let’s see if the vaping Gods will be smiling down on this one…
For the record the Kuga Heat Knights was sent to me direct from the company – thank you – and as always my thoughts and opinions are not swayed by freebies.

Key Features
The Kuga Heat Knights is a 2ml capacity pod kit with an internal 850mAH battery.
It’s draw activated – or you can use the fire button – and is designed for DTL or RDTL vaping.
To switch between the 2 styles you simply turn the pod around – clever! As to if it works we shall of course see…
The coils are 0.8ohm kanthal mesh and as you can see you only get one in the box.
The pod is made from PCTG and the body from anodized aluminum alloy – so it’s light but tough.
Available colours: Black – Space Grey – Red – Army Green.
Design and Build Quality
First glance and you’d think the Kuga Heat Knights was a Uwell Caliburn G – it looks very similar.
Indeed the way to swap the airflow is the same – as in switching which way you pop in the pod…each style is marked.
That aside, it’s a kind of flattened pen style device that is very nice in the hand and pleasing on the eye.
The raised fire button has a contrasting coloured band that looks very cool indeed – just like the Caliburn G! – the red against the black looks very sharp on mine.
Ridges on both sides not only look good but add grip and the logo is just about the right size to not be ‘in your face‘.
There’s also a little LED light that flashes whilst vaping – not as bad as it sounds!
The pods as you can see have a very dark tint to them and the fill port is tight enough and a good size for your nozzles.
Build wise it feels premium to say the least and those pods are hard to get in and out – they won’t be going anywhere that’s for sure.
A quick word on the mouthpiece – as you can see it’s that duck bill style and very comfortable in the mouth.
How Does the Kuga Heat Knights Perform?
I’ve been using the Kuga Heat Knights pod kit for over 2 weeks now…in fact I’ve replaced it with my go to Caliburn G to give it a good going over – ooer missus…
For the taste test I’ve gone back to an old favourite, Dinner Lady Lemon Tart nic salt.
OK let’s take a look at the two vape styles:
Kuga Heat Knights DTL Style
On a scale of 1:10 with 10 being extremely airy this setting is easily an 8.5 and maybe even a tad higher – as in very airy indeed and a very loose draw.
With that much air going in I wasn’t expecting great flavour but that kanthal mesh surprised me to say the least.
With 10 being awesome flavour, I’d give this setting a definite 8 or maybe a little higher – very good flavour indeed and a good amount of vapour too.
Kuga Heat Knights RDTL Style
There is a difference for sure – but not much!
On a scale of 1:10 this style is maybe a 7 to 7.5 – a tiny bit of restriction but still quite airy.
Once again the flavour is on point and as you might expect probably a little bit tastier – and again good vapour.
Pros
- Great flavour
- Great clouds
- Stylish design
- Excellent build quality
- Simple to use
- Great price
- Decent battery life – 4 hours in + regular use
- Good coil longevity 2 weeks no dip in flavour
Cons
-
- Pods are very dark – difficult to see juice level
Final Review Verdict
I’ve mentioned the Caliburn G a lot in this review of the Kuga Heat Knights pod kit.
The similarities are there to see for sure – both in looks and of course how you swap vaping styles.
Speaking of styles, of the two I do prefer the look of the Kuga Heat Knights – it’s like work clothes and going out clothes if you catch my drift.
The Kuga Heat Knights look extremely elegant and feel top quality.
Flavour wise I think they fall just a tiny bit short of the Caliburn G – but there’s a fag paper between them.
It’s a shame you only get one coil in the box and saying that I can’t see the coils for sale anywhere lol…
Hopefully Kuga Heat will send me a link for the coils because this is a pod kit I highly recommend.
PS: I did try the Caliburn G coils but nope they don’t fit 🙂
So is this a pod kit you’re keen on trying?
