JUUL2 Exclusive UK Launch
This week sees the JUUL2 exclusive UK launch and the new set-up has a whole host of upgrades.
A lot of the new tech is meant to deter underage users and counterfeit JULL products.
JUUL Labs says the key updates to the JUUL 2 are:
- A more consistent vapour experience that competes with combustible cigarettes
- A newly designed JUUL Device with a larger, long-lasting battery, and smart light system, communicating e-liquid level and battery life
- Newly designed Tobacco and Menthol JUUL2 pods (18 mg/mL nicotine strength)
- Technology to prevent unauthorized use, such as the inclusion of JUULpod ID to further combat against counterfeit pods.
The JUUL2 can only be purchased from the company’s website, with a UK retail roll out in 2022.
JUUL says anyone purchasing the device online will go through a scrupulous age-verification process to include photo ID.
New tech also means it will be easier for JUUL to spot the counterfeits that have been flooding the market, and only JUUL2 pods will work with the new device.
Juul Labs’ EMEA VP, Dan Thomson said:
We are pleased to launch the next-generation JUUL2 in the UK.
A key part of our mission is to transition adult smokers away from cigarettes, the leading cause of preventable death in the world, killing some 90,000 Britons annually.
We believe the best method to switch adult smokers from combustible cigarettes to a potentially less harmful, non-combustible alternative, is to provide a product that closely resembles the consistency and experience of smoking.
With JUUL2, we believe we are taking another step in that direction as we aim to transition even more adult smokers.
It will be very interesting to see how it vapes and indeed how the sales go on these shores.
I wrote the original JUUL review, with the flavoured pods and felt it was a little under-powered and under-flavoured.
However, I also reviewed the UK only JUUL pod – Rich Tobacco and rather enjoyed it.
I have reached out to JUUL for a sample to be sent for review…watch this space as they say…
The JUUL2 exclusive UK launch is this Thursday – September 30th.
Will you be one of the first to buy the JUUL2 kit?

GeekVape’s New Fast Charging Gets the Green Light
Geekvape’s new Safe Fast Charge technology has passed the most stringent of safety tests.
The new tech means e-cigarettes can be charged within 15 minutes using the Type-C USB cable and the experts say it will also mean longer battery longevity.
This fast charging technology is the first in the world and scientists from the German based Technischer Überwachungsverein (TÜV) – Technical Inspection Association – carried out rigorous testing and said:
Geekvape’s Safe Fast Charge technology achieved 96.43% charging current and battery capacity after more than 300 rounds of TÜV charging and discharging tests — far outperforming the international standard of 80%.
As you’d expect, the company was delighted and Siner Kong, the product manager of Geekvape said:
At Geekvape, we adhere only to the most stringent global safety standards.
Our Safe Fast Charge technology has been strictly tested by leading independent parties, including the TÜV and FCC.
As a result, we can confidently say we have achieved the world’s first fast-charging e-cigarette technology that is truly safe and durable.
In addition to TÜV tests, Geekvape’s Safe Fast Charge technology has passed IEC61960 and ICE62133 global battery safety regulation standards.
Great news and even better news for the company after it cleaned up at the recent Vapouround Awards 2021.
Geekvape won five trophies: Best Branding and Marketing, Industry Leader, Best Mod (Legend2), Best Tank (DF Drop RDA V1.5) and Best Disposable (Geekbar, its disposable e-cigarette device).
High fives all round 😉
Disinformation Around Vaping STILL Stopping Smokers Switch
Smokers around the world are still confused about the safety of e-cigarettes thanks to the sheer amount of false, fake and misleading information.
A survey carried out by Big Tobacco company Phillip Morris Inc [PMI] shows almost half of those surveyed believed HNB and vaping was as if not more dangerous than smoking.
PMI is of course the manufacturer of iconic lit tobacco brand Marlboro.
However, over the past few years it has shifted to both Heat Not Burn with the IQOS and and the IQOS Mesh kit that takes e-liquid.
The survey targeted 30,000 people from 26 countries and the results are shocking to say the least – PMI says:
- Nearly half the adults surveyed wrongly believe that e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products are more harmful than or equally harmful as cigarettes (45% and 46%, respectively, for each product category).
- Asked why they have not considered switching to a better alternative, around a third of smokers surveyed cited lack of information about how these products differ from cigarettes (33%), uncertainty about the science (35%), or having easier access to cigarettes (32%), the most harmful form of tobacco consumption.
Grégoire Verdeaux, Senior Vice President, External Affairs at PMI, said:
People expect public health bodies and regulators to reach a scientific consensus around innovative smoke-free alternatives and provide adults who smoke with evidence-based information about these products.
Misinformation about smoke-free alternatives—often based on opinion—is a persistent issue that is having real-world consequences.
Embracing facts, innovative technologies, and science is the shared responsibility of industry, health authorities, and government, and it’s the least we can do to drive positive change for the world.
At Philip Morris International, we prioritize transparency as we transform our business to deliver a smoke-free future—inviting policymakers, the scientific community, and NGOs to review and verify our scientific findings.
By providing adult smokers science-based information about better alternatives, we can accelerate the decline in smoking rates, helping to end the use of cigarettes once and for all.
It’s not the first survey to show the anti-vape brigade’s lies are having a major impact and I doubt it will be the last.
Back in 2018 I wrote the article: Misconceptions Over The Safety Of Vaping and E-Cigs Is Risking Lives.
That piece was in response to Cancer Research UK and it’s pro vaping stance.
Its policy on e-cigarettes is simple:
The evidence so far indicates e-cigarettes are less harmful than tobacco smoking and can be an effective quitting tool.
Yet 3 years on and the disinformation campaign filled with lies, lies and dammed lies continues…
