I have on my desk 6 bottles of some of the ”Just Add” range from the new company “Jungle Juice”.
Jungle Juice e-liquid is from a brand who make and bottle their liquid in Britain in an ISO 5 clean room. The business itself is a small family run affair based in South Wales.
Apparently the flavours are Beta Tested by a group of over 2000 vapers. Their feedback allows Jungle Juice to make adjustments to improve the e-liquid. When the feedback is 98% positive then they release the liquid for sale.
Introduction: Just Add Range by Jungle Juice
Their liquids are available in 0mg nicotine strength in 60ml or 120ml short fill bottles with nic shots. You add the nicotine shots as you require to increase the nic level to your preference.
The bottles have an easy to remove nib to prevent you covering yourself in e-liquid when adding nic.
The liquid is a mix of 60%VG and 40% PG. This is better for Sub Ohm devices however some MTL devices may run quite happily on this as it isn’t super thick liquid.
Have a read of our guides below if the terms PG, VG and MTL go right over your head!
All liquids have pharmaceutical and Kosher grade bases and are free of Stevia, Sucralose, Acetoin, Acetyl Propionyl and Diacetyl. Also according to their website they use a minimum of 17% flavouring.
I will use my trusty Kaees Aladdin RDA as it is easy to just rewick and dry burn between flavours so I can taste each flavour rather than a cocktail of several! I popped the RDA onto the Eleaf iStick Nowos which is a handy little internal battery mod for under 80W use.
Thank you to Jungle Juice for sending me these for review and as always I will report back honestly on my findings.
Up For Review…
I received 6x60ml bottles for review – the flavours are:
- Blue Lagoon
- Rhubarb and custard
- Sumptuous Strawberry
- Fruit Salad Chew
- Pink Lemonade
- Classic Bubblegum
I will not be adding nicotine shots to mine as I am hard-core! Adding nic shots will alter the strength of the flavour and I generally vape sub ohm at 6mg so it might dilute the flavour too much.
With E-liquids the taste is obviously subjective so I will try and stick to how closely they match the description or target flavour. Also the vaping equipment you use may also alter the taste profile as some flavours are stronger in some set ups.
Blue Lagoon
Jungle Juice say…
“Take a plunge in the Jungle Juice Blue Lagoon. A refreshing and revitalising Blue Slush E liquid with a twist. Your taste buds will crave for more on every vape as you taste Raspberry followed closely with a hint sour but nothing too overpowering. It’s the perfect blend to put a smile on your face”
I say….
The smell of this is very familiar… I am thinking of Blackcurrant Chewits – which are also one of my favourite sweeties ever!
The taste wasn’t what I expected really. There isn’t as much wallop to it as the smell made me think there would be.
There is some fruity taste with a back note of a cooling sensation – which must be the Blue Slush.
I do enjoy it and there is no horrible flavour or chemically after taste. There is plenty of vapour for a 60%VG liquid!
I thought I perhaps had Vapers Tongue but I can taste my other e-liquids fine? In fact I spent most of the afternoon vaping this to see if there was something wrong with my taste buds but I still found the flavour quite muted. Plus I am using an a good flavour RDA for testing this so the flavour might drop on a tank etc.
My advice to Jungle Juice on this one is to add more flavouring- the flavour is lovely just needs some more of it. I haven’t added a nic shot either so it will dilute a bit more when you do.
Rhubarb and Custard
Jungle Juice say…
“The Sweetshop classic that everyone adores! Bursting with flavour to make your taste buds scream out for more. The sharpness of Rhubarb is balanced with the creamy custard making the perfect partnership”
I say….
Apparently it took 5 months of testing for Jungle Juice to perfect the Rhubarb and Custard flavour…
I used to love the Rhubarb and Custard hard boiled sweets which had the sugar coating and too many would be like sandpapering your tongue.
The smell of this liquid is very very close but with a slight Pear Props mixed in too – like you had kept the Pear Drops and R&C sweets in the same paper bag!
However I find the taste is like “Solvents”… Very chemically and I feel the urge to swill used paint brushes in it.
I was quite stumped by this so in the end I got a friend to try it and tell me what he thought.
Without telling him what flavour it was I asked him what it tasted of and he instantly said Rhubarb – sweet Rhubarb. I asked if he could taste custard but he couldn’t pick that flavour out so this does appear to be close to description.
He said it was worth an 9 out of 10 as it was lovely but wasn’t much custard. In fact he took the bottle home with him as he liked it that much! It’s only not getting full marks because of the lack of custard!
Sumptuous Strawberry
Jungle Juice say…
“What is summer without luscious fat juicy deep red strawberries? Bring in the bounties of summer anytime of the year with the Jungle Juice Sumptuous Strawberry E Liquid. Jungle Juice captures the taste and tactility of the strawberries to perfection to our divine celestial VG PG mix and enjoy summer anytime anywhere”
I say….
This is another one which smells like sweeties – oh man it’s a perfect Strawberry Chewits smell – delicious! Making me hungry these sweetie vapes are!
I am finding this quite hard to describe. On inhale you get an almost fizzy sherbet strawberry sensation yet on the exhale it is smooth like a strawberry chew. You can almost feel it on your tongue!
This isn’t like a strawberry plucked out of a punnet. This is more of a strawberry sweetie – which is fine by me as I have more of a sweet tooth than Winnie the Pooh. But you might not be happy if you were expecting straight off the plant strawberry flavour.
Fruit Salad Chew
Jungle Juice say…
“Separating the Black Jacks from the Fruit Salads was always a challenge but met with the reward of a fruity berry and tropical fruit sweet chew is worth it. The combination is a side of sweetness yet curiously manages to be both invigorating in its fruitiness as well as relaxing in the mellow sunshine-like flavours”
I say….
I have high hopes for this one. The e-liquid I use mostly in my sub ohm devices is Stika Bombz Fruit Salad – I rarely use anything else – so this has big old shoes to fill!
From the sniff test this smells exactly like the beautiful aroma that greets you when you finally get the bloody awkward wrapper off the Fruit Salad chew!
The flavour isn’t quite as strong as I was expecting. Again like the Strawberry flavour there is a fizzy quality which is really fun and takes me back to my childhood.
I definitely get the Fruit Salad chew vibe just wish there was a bit more oomph to the flavour. This is very more-ish just like the sweet!
The flavour from the Jungle Juice version is not as powerful as the Stika Bombz version which is still my favourite Fruit Salad flavour – sorry!
Pink Lemonade
Jungle Juice say…
“Close your eyes and be transported back to the cool poolside partying with friends and sipping on an ice-cold drink with a punch of deep red raspberry, cloudy Sicilian lemons and wild field Strawberry’s”
I say….
Sniffing this liquid reminds me of the time at school we tried to make Lemonade. Nothing like what you buy in the shops but a sweet still lemon drink hehe!
Wow this is really lemony – and tastes again like the school made lemonade. Not the fizzy stuff but basically sweetened lemon juice with the acid sting taken away.
I am not getting any definite strawberry or raspberry – but there is something stopping this liquid being really sour and tart. Even though the lemon flavour is lovely and strong it doesn’t suck your pants up your bottom.
This is a beauty – I am not normally a Lemon fan but I could happily vape this all day.
I have had to drop a mark as the other fruity flavours are not really shining through but they must be working somehow in the background to counteract the citrus sting.
Classic Bubblegum
Jungle Juice say…
“Relive the moments of wild abandon, of fun in the sun and sharing secrets with friends sharing a stick of bubble gum. Now the same evocative flavour is available as E-juice. Our complete Vape Juice Kit with celestial VG PG mix and Jungle Juice “Just Add” in Retro Bubblegum flavour will allow you to make your very own strength of nicotine, just how you like it”
I say….
This is another one I was really looking forward to. Despite being 43 – I still have the taste buds of a 6 year old and I love a drop of bubblegum e-liquid. The IVG Bubblegum Millions is still one of my favourites!
The smell of this is just dreamy and really smells like when you just pop the shell on a “1p Bubbly” bubble gum ball… (Showing my age again – they are probably about 67p each now – inflation etcs…)
Again I find myself just wishing for the flavour level to be ramped up a bit.
There is a bubblegum flavour – but compared to the smell it is very muted. If this flavour was stronger this would be a 10/10 e-liquid.
Final Verdict
The Jungle Juice e-liquids are not max VG, they are only 60% VG. Which surprises me as the sweetness, vapour and smoothness are exactly what you would expect from an 80% VG e-liquid.
Being slightly thinner in composition these e-liquids may even be suitable for pod mods and starter vape kits!
Ooh if I could add marks for bottle design I would! The hungle Juice guys have done a great job with this. The easy pull out nozzle for adding nic and the easy to squeeze bottle really helped my gammy hands!
The flavours whilst not always being 100% to description are actually nicer than you would expect – for me anyway. But I have a super sweet tooth – those of you preferring more sour or earthy tones might find these way too sweet.
In general I wish there was a little more flavour added as the flavours are so yummy it wouldn’t hurt to crank them up a notch.
i have just received cherry burst and i am very disappointed with this vape juice there is no cherry flavour my cheap stuff under a £1 tastes way better there is a taste of mint and certainly no cherry burst not cheap either wont be buying again waste of money
