The Joyetech Evio Solo is the latest addition to the Evio range.
The other devices in this range so far are the Evio C and the Evio Box pod kits.
What Is New About The Joyetech Evio Solo Kit?
As with the rest of the Evio kits this is a pod kit which has pretty classic styling with a few nice features.
Firstly inside the device is a 1000mAh battery which can be charged in around 30 mins using the USB Type C port at up to 2A charge rate.
The actual output is not specified and I think the AST Avatar chip decides on the output depending on the resistance of the coil installed.
You can choose however from High, Medium or Low output settings.
A colour LED is provided to inform you of the battery capacity remaining and device status, plus there is a vibration motor to alert you too.
The chip also prevents the coil from becoming damaged through excessive power or lack of e-liquid with the “Smart Coil” protection.
Another nice feature is the airflow control slider to allow you more customisation of your vaping experience.
This has draw activated firing – which is an airflow sensor that triggers the fire activation automatically when you inhale on the mouthpiece.
The pod is removable and refillable with up to 4.8ml (2ml in TPD regulated areas) of your own e-liquid via the side fill port.
This uses the EN coil range which is found in the other Evio kits and you have the 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm AST Steel coils included in the kit.
The AST coils are made from “Austenitic Stainless Steel” and are found in some Eleaf kits too. These are supposed to give a greater coil life and also interact with the device to indicate when the coil over heats and kick in the Smart Coil protection.

This is a simple pod kit with some nice features and the AST coil technology does look promising!
