Series B Tilt by Jacvapour – Seriously Small Mod But How Does It Perform?
It has been a couple of months since the Jacvapour Series B Tilt was announced and my first impressions from their promo video were good with the preview showing us a mod that looked different to anything I had seen on the e cig market.
UPDATE
This device has been discontinued. Not to worry though! Check out the updated Jacvapour Series B DNA75 mod here. It’s cracker!
It sits alongside the excellent Series B DNA75 mod and Series S vape pen that proved to be a top quality bit of kit. So to finally get it in hand is a pretty exciting thing for me! I know I’m a little sad!
Let’s get on with the Jacvapour Series B Tilt review.
In The Box
The Series B Tilt comes in a well designed, compact box and contains the following –
- 1 x JAC Series B Tilt 40 W Mod
- 1 x USB charging cable
- 1 x In depth instruction manual
it’s a breath of fresh air here to see Jacvapour have included a very easy to understand instruction manual. Even new vapers should be able to follow along with no issues.
Looks & Build Quality of the Series B Tilt
I’m going to jump in straight away here and just say it. This is the best looking vape mod I have seen to date. I know everyone has different tastes to what they like but the Series B Tilt is a beautiful little thing. And when I say little it’s tiny but still feels a nice weight with the battery installed.
I don’t have the biggest hands but it fits perfectly into palm allowing it to be completely concealed. Perfect for taking with me on a night out. For those that have had an Eleaf iStick 20 or 30W the size is similar although the Tilt is a touch taller.
The main body is finished in a black rubberised material that is a joy to hold in the hand and this is complemented well with a brushed stainless steel base and magnetic battery cover.
The power and selector buttons have the same rubberised finish and sit well in the body of the mod. The buttons have a nice ‘click’ to them that a BMW engineer would be proud of. There is a touch of movement as would be expected but the good news is there is ZERO rattle which is only a good thing.
The OLED screen fits curved into the edge of the body and the screen itself is as bright and clear.
The magnetic battery cover snaps into place easily making it a breeze to switch out batteries. There is a vent hole on the cover as well as on the base.
Jacvapour have aimed for quality and it’s quite obvious when you hold this mod in your hand they have succeeded. It feels like a high end product and looks like a high end product.
I haven’t forgotten the ‘TILT’
This was the part of the design that really sets it apart in the looks department. The top of the series B is cut at an angle to allow the tank to tilt to the side a touch. Does it make a huge difference to the quality of the vape?
Not really but it does allows for slightly better ergonomics when vaping. And I actually think it looks fantastic.

Any Downsides To The design?
The only thing that I don’t like about this device is that the micro USB charging port is on the base of the box mod.
Not the end of the world and certainly not something that stops me enjoying the Series B! I just like to stand my mods up when charging and using the pass through function.
How Does The Jacvapour Series B Tilt Perform?
The Jacvapour Series B Tilt has the ability to power upto 40W and I had no issues reaching this with the Atlantis 2 with a 0.3ohm coil.
I also used the Aspire Nautilus mini that vaped well around 10W but the tank I spent most time using was the Innokin Apex iSub tank with a 0.5ohm coil.
This is a great tank that pairs well with the Series B and performed a treat between 25-28W.
Of course there are a number of things that can effect your vape and where you will set your wattage or volts. The main advice to give is to start on a low setting and work your way up until you find your preferred setting.
Cycling through the wattage settings is steady but it does have an auto scroll feature so when you hold the ‘+’ or ‘-‘ selector buttons for a couple of seconds it will automatically continue through the watts. Not something I’m a particular fan of but like the micro usb port this isn’t a major issue, more a personal preference.
Batteries
This is an area that needs careful consideration especially for those new to vape mods that require replaceable 18650 flat top batteries.
To use the Tilt for sub ohm vaping purposes or to use it in pass through mode (vape while charging) you need to have a 20amp (or above) 18650 battery, these can handle the output needed to vape at the higher wattage and low resistances.

In short don’t go for the cheapest batteries you can find, buy quality. Jacvapour have compatible batteries so I would recommend you add these to your order.
I am using a 3000mah 20amp battery from Jac Vapour and the life of the battery – moderate vaping with a 0.5ohm coil – was great giving me around 1.5 days use.
If you are using the likes of the Aerotank / Aspire Nautilus tanks with 1.8ohm coils then you will likely get a lot more life from the battery
Final Review Verdict
If you read the full Series B tilt review then you will no doubt have guessed I love this vape mod.
It is without doubt the best box mod (for my tastes) in terms of design, size and quality I have used to date and the ‘Tilt’ of the tank looks cool. Even the USB charging cable looks good. It has a deserved spot in our best vape mod / box mod list.
I found myself using this out and about with it slipping into my pocket easily. It will suit most levels of vaper.
Of course if you are running power hungry tanks or building your own coils then the 40W max output likely won’t fit in with your needs.
The price (Be sure to use our Jacvapour voucher code – For money off) is very good for the quality you get. Do keep in mind you will also need a battery with this.
The Good
- Superb build quality
- Extremely small form factor makes it easy to carry around
- Overall design and looks are excellent
- ‘Tilt’ feature looks good
- Simple to use
- Ideal for most levels of vaper
- Replaceable 18650 battery with easy access magnetic cover
- Fires down to 0.2ohm so compatible with wide variety of sub ohm tanks
- Spring loaded 510 connector means a flush fit for your tanks
The Not So Good
- Micro USB charge port is on the base of the device so can’t stand mod up while charging (not an issue really, more a personal preference)
- No TC option so advanced vapers looking for this function, this isn’t for you.
- 40W isn’t going to be enough power for certain vapers
Hi,
I’m thinking of upgrading from my Aspire PockeX. The the base options on the tilt are DTL kit are 0.5 or 1ohm. Which would you recommend? I would like to get whichever one will have the longest coil life but if they are similar then vapour production and flavour!
Thanks in advance!
Hi Milo,
It really depends on whether you prefer a direct to lung or mouth to lung vape. There isn’t much in it with regards to coil life but that would all depend on the type of e-liquid you use and your vaping habits.
The Jacvapour S22 tank works with both 0.5 and 1.0ohm coils. Check out the review for more info on the performance of the coils.
You could add the other coil option at checkout and try them both out.
Cheers!
Jonny
This was the main review that convinced me to buy one of these about six weeks ago and I totally agree with you that it’s the best mod I’ve ever had.
Unfortunately, the rubberised finish has start to flake on mine and wondered if you have had the same problem?
Hey Graham,
Glad to hear you’re getting on well with the Series B! Not so much your flakey rubber!
I haven’t had any issue with mine.. Might be an idea to give Jacvapour a shout, they have great customer service and sure they will be able to help you out.
Great review I am getting this. Just wondered can you use an rda on this? I’m not new to vaping and what to you mean in the cons, No tc option? Thanks
Hey Dan, you can use an RDA but there will be limitations on the coil builds you can use.
The Series B tilt can only power upto 40W so just keep that in mind when looking at the resistance of your coils.
Temperature control isn’t necessarily a con for everyone. It’s another way of vaping that is for use with different coil materials. Instead of going into depth here be best to take a look at our beginners guide to temperature control in vaping.
Hey Johnny,
I am a first time vape purchaser and feel extremely overwhelmed with the amount of varieties of vapes and accessories that are available.
I read a ton of reviews and seen many different vapes and feel that this JacVapour B series Tilt may be the entry level vape that I am looking for.
I enjoy smoking hookah, but hate the hassle of having to carry it to events and put everything together, which is why I decided to look into purchasing a box mod vaporizer.
I want to purchase this Jacvapour B series Tilt along with the Innoken Apex Isub tank and two 300mah 20amp battery from JacVapour.
I was able to find the JacVapour B series Tilt machine and Innoken Apex Isub Tank, but can not find the battery you suggested. I want the entire bundle so I can have everything needed in order to enjoy my first box mod.
Would you be able to assist me with this purchase. I feel like I’m way over my head in this arena and could use any assistance I could get.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
Hey J.R!
Thanks for the question.
Can definitely see why you would want to ditch the hookah for a vape mod!
Both of what you mention are great choices. As for the battery, this one from Jacvapour will be perfect!
