The IVG nic salt e-liquids range put to the taste test.
This is a newish range of e-liquid from award winning UK company IVG or I Vape Great.
In the past I’ve reviewed the IVG Mixer short fill range – and a choice selection of their nic salts.
Our Michelle has reviewed the original IVG juice range and bloody loved them – whilst I’ve also reviewed the company’s pod kit which I found was lacking in flavour.
What Can We Expect From the IVG Nic Salt Range?
As always with juice and without stating the bloody obvious lol – I expect flavour!
Given IVG has won a whole host of awards, including Best UK Brand in the 2019 EcigClick Vape Awards – I’m hoping for something very special indeed 😉
OK, these samples were sent to me free of charge direct from IVG – thank you – and as always freebies don’t impact on my taste buds, thoughts and opinions.
And please do remember taste is subjective.
For the record I used the extremely flavoursome GeekVape Ammit MTL RDA with a basic 1.0ohm round wire coil vaping between 17 and 21w – and the dripper was freshly wicked every time.
So, and as I always say…let’s see if these juices do indeed ‘vape great’…
IVG Nic Salt Riberry Lemonade
IVG Say:
A perfect blend of crushed blackcurrants and wild berries paired with refreshing lemonade, an extremely satisfying taste.
I Say:
The smell is very reminiscent of the blackcurrant squash Ribena and suggests it might be a little on the sweet side.
Indeed the aroma is bordering on rich so I was a little worried it might be closer to a candy vape than a fresh fruit.
The inhale was actually a bit of a surprise and a good one at that.
No where near as rich or sweet as I expected and actually quite refreshing, with the blackberry to the fore.
Cant quite pick out what the other berries are…
I didn’t get a lemonade fizz as such – and it was more in the background – but definitely an all day vape.
Note: Just realized I’ve already reviewed this one but this time I’ve added much more detail…I get worse lol.
IVG Nic Salt Strawberry Watermelon Chew
IVG Says:
Nothing Beats the mouth-watering taste of strawberries and watermelons.
I Say:
I can think of more than few things that can beat the flavour of strawberries and watermelon…but that’s just me being snippy lol.
I used to love those sweets called Chewits and that’s exactly what I’m getting when I whipped the top off – mouthwatering to say the least.
Dare I say the inhale is a little muted on this one?
There’s barely any sweetness and the watermelon feels more water than er melon.
Even on the exhale there’s no real hint of anything much apart from that watery-melon.
I actually put this juice into the awesome Augvape Merlin Nano RTA to see if I could coax any flavour – but nope.
If you like the weaker less flavourful e-liquids this is one for you…
IVG Nic Salt Summer Blaze
IVG Says:
Sicilian style cool lemonade, infused with mixed summer berries.
I Say:
I was hoping for big things from this one – sharp lemonade sweetened by fresh berries – bang on my preferred flavour profile.
My mouth watered from the aroma – once I sniffed hard enough – again it felt slightly muted.
The inhale is again not quite the sour ‘n sweet sensation I was hoping for and again the flavours were a little under-strength.
The exhale kind of picked up with a slight tang and a hint of berry – but not enough to blow my socks off.
If you don’t like over flavoured juice this is another one for you – let’s call it subtle 😉
IVG Nic Salt Citrus Lemonade
IVG Says:
Handpicked sour grapefruits infused with the zest of oranges & lemons, creating a natural tangy citrus lemonade. A true all day vape.
I Say:
Another e-liquid bang on my flavour profile.
Another great smell coming from the bottle with tart grapefruit notes prominent – smells great but how does it vape?
Aaah that’s better…slightly!
You certainly get a whack of citrusy tangy grapefruit right on the inhale and the tip of your tongue tingles for sure.
The flavour really picks up on the exhale as those sweeter yet citrus orange and lemon notes combine with the grapefruit.
I agree – this is definitely a true all day vape – very nice indeed – as I said in the previous review lol.
IVG Nic Salt Blue Raspberry
IVG Says:
Mouth-watering fresh blueberries and raspberries treat, with a subtle slush effect.
I Say:
Wow the smell of fresh raspberries really does come through from the bottle.
The inhale doesn’t let down either with a lovely tang of fresh fruit and the hint of sweetness to come.
The blueberries arrive at the start of the exhale adding just the right amount of sweetener and not at all candied.
That cooling effect is indeed subtle and the tiniest and I mean tiniest suggestion of peppermint more than koolada.
A very nice vape indeed and again one for an all day vape.
Final Review Verdict
IVG has sent me a lot of e-liquid this past few months – hence me doubling up on a couple here – old age and all that.
I have 5 more from the 50:50 range to review at a later date and they are all new flavours to me.
What I will say about the nic salt I’ve just reviewed is there’s a wonderful lack of over sweetening going on.
In a couple of cases the flavour is not as strong as I might like – but ideal for new vapers or those that like a more subtle vape.
IVG won a couple of awards in the EcigClick 2019 Vape Awards and it seems the wider vaping public love their products.
There’s currently 19 flavours in the nic salt range and I’d hazard a guess that all are well worth trying given the one’s I’ve vaped on are pretty good.
So yeah, new vapers or those who need a bit more nicotine could do worse than try the IVG nic salt range.
