Today I’ve the privilege of reviewing the brand new IVG Bar Favourites range of E-liquids.
Disposable vapes have been impacting the vape market for a few years now. There’s no denying their ease of use, convenience and accessibility to the new or casual vaper.
They do come with a few sticking caveats, though.
For the most part, they’re hardly eco-friendly with much speculation as to the way they actually get disposed of. It seems manufacturers are as responsible as the end user and certainly the likes of Innokin and Riot have gone all out to play their part in this respect.
There’s also the financial aspect to consider. The continuous purchasing of disposables can be a costly business – especially if you’re a frequent vaper.
This is where multi award winning IVG are stepping up to the plate. After releasing the Bar, Bar Crystal and Calipro disposable vapes they’re shifting attention back to their 10ml Salt range of E-liquids.
It’s time to experience the taste of a disposable in your favourite vaping device with the IVG Bar Favourites e-liquid.
This isn’t the first time disposable flavours have made the jump across to 10ml bottle format. Being a more cost effective alternative, it’s not likely to be the last either.
What Can We Expect From the IVG Bar Favourites Salt Range?
IVG like to do their research. Thoroughly. Thus the Bar Favourites brand encompasses a vast spectrum of popular disposable vape flavours as enjoyed by the general vaping public.
It’s what you call catering to the masses and one of many reasons IVG are known across the globe.
There are a total of 21 much loved profiles to choose from ranging from fruits, drinks and mint. Menthol is synonymous with disposables so expect an icy blast or three along the way.
IVG have cheekily thrown in a handful of their own popular disposable vape flavours too.
..and why not?
Purchasable in 10 ml bottles, the Bar Favourites range comes in 10mg or 20mg salt nicotine strengths.
The E-liquid ratio is 50VG/50PG so I suggest dusting off your old vape starter kits or valued pod kits and get ready for the intense taste of a disposable in E-liquid form.

As mentioned, this is an E-liquid range designed to compete with and replicate the experiences of a disposable vape. Not only in flavour but vapour production.
For this reason, lower powered MTL vape devices such as the Uwell Caliburn G2 pod kit or Innokin Endura T18-II vape pen will be ideal.
I’ve received the 10mg salt nic versions and I’m using them in the Digiflavor Siren V4 MTL RTA using a tiny MTL round wire coil weighing in at 1.1ohm, running at 15W.
..because I’m a bit of an elitist! 😉
Before we begin testing the flavours I’d like to thank Vape Club for sending these over for the purposes of review. It’s very much appreciated.
Please keep in mind the range will be highly suited to a vast array of lower powered MTL devices. For this reason alone, experiences may very well differ. Use my thoughts as a mere guiding light as to what to expect.
Blackcurrant Mango
IVG Says:
Sweet Blackcurrants and exotic Mango that will excite your taste buds.
I Say:
How pleasant the Menthol content is in this one! It works wonders for amplifying the Mango content which is juicy and succulent.
To begin with Mango is the dominant flavour. It’s never overdone or sweetly sick and after a handful of exhales is joined by a developing Blackcurrant that brings its own layer of sweetness.
Before long the two fruits are joining forces and when that happens a totally original flavour is created.
What we have with Blackcurrant Mango is a cool, refreshing and quite sweet tasting vape that’s tailor made for long, hot Summer days.
In fact because the fruits are so well balanced it would be just as easy to name it as Mango Blackcurrant. The concentrate levels have been pitched perfectly.
Fresh Mint
IVG Says:
Packed full of flavour Enjoy the classic taste of Mint with an icy touch!
I Say:
This is a much smoother blend than I was expecting despite the rather heavy use of Coolada to chill the soul as well as the throat.
As the name suggests this is neither Spearmint or Peppermint. I say that because its ram packed with sweetness which does throw my taste buds somewhat.
Yet sweet in a good way. The taste quickly becomes moreish. It definitely has that ‘one more vape’ likability and dare I say, addictiveness.
The exhale leaves the mouth feeling invigorated and refreshed. It’s a vape that very much takes its cue from the initial icy blast.
Fresh Mint is going to appeal to all ex Menthol cigarette smokers.
For the rest of us it’s still bursting with minty flavour and an ideal way of resetting the palate between vaping other flavours.
Lemon Peach Passionfruit
IVG Says:
Exotic Passionfruit and Sweet Peach with an added Lemon tartness.
I Say:
Tartness is definitely the key word here, but let me start at the beginning.
Wow! This is what you call a medley of fruity flavours all wrapped up on one unique tasting vape.
The Lemon is actually more reminiscent of concentrates found in dessert style vapes. By that I mean it carries a distinctive bakery like quality.
Put simply, I’m reminded of a Lemon drizzle cake.
By contrast the Peach is much more subtle in approach. It still manages to permeate the exhale but lacks the juicier, sweeter properties generally associated.
As for Passionfruit? It’s not smacking me in the chops, put it that way but to be honest I’m already sold on Lemon Peach Passionfruit.
Even the initial cold blast adds to proceedings which in itself is an oddity. Bakery and Menthol profiles should not be allowed to work! lol
What we have is an E-liquid that’s not only bursting with flavour. It’s bursting with originality too.
.. I doff my cap.
Mixed Berries
IVG Says:
Ripe mixed Berries leaving you wanting more.
I Say:
Mmm. Mixed Berries. Usually a difficult one when it comes to picking out individual fruits.
It’s all about the sum of its parts with Mixed Berries as a flavour. I say this because it’s so concentrated that I have issues knowing what’s what.
Predominantly the exhale is full of sweet and bitter flavour notes that hang throughout the exhale.
In many ways they interfere with what I experience as being chemically generated Strawberries combined with subtle hints of Raspberry.
This synthetic taste carries across to the palate and the resulting aroma isn’t the most pleasant one I’ve come across in a vape. Faint Blueberry notes are detectible within this aroma.
I also have to state the Menthol content is quite over powering, slightly over exaggerated and sears the lining of the throat.
There’s plenty ’nuff flavour to be found here but I’m thinking concentrate levels mean individual fruits are bleeding into each other.
I’m certainly no mixologist but it’s the best way of describing Mixed berries.
Tropical Island
IVG Says:
Packed full of sweet Pineapple, Melon and Kiwi leaving your mouth watering.
I Say:
Unfortunately for me, Kiwi is quite dominant in this one – I’m not a fan of the fruit.
As a bit of trivia, Tropical Island can also be found as part of the IVG Calipro disposable vape selection. This bottled version is a pretty fair replication too.
The same levels of sweetness prevail as well as an icy cold blast during inhale.
The flavour itself is ok. It’s not the ‘traditional’ tropical taste I would normally expect, though. It is a little on the bland side and as much as Pineapple is incorporated I do tend to pick out Banana of all things.
It just seems to be lacking in vibrancy and punch.
Melon does pull through but it’s much more broader in flavour and slightly detached from the rest of the vaping experience.
I don’t find it that enjoyable to be honest. Even though I’m sure IVG have attempted to offer an alternative take on a much loved and highly popular flavour profile.
Watermelon Cherry
IVG Says:
Cherries and Watermelon so luscious the flavour will burst in your mouth.
I Say:
Well, well, well. This one actually vapes a treat.
I was a bit apprehensive when I saw the two included flavours. It’s not a profile I often come across.
The blending and fusing of both is quite clever and proves my belief that a duo of concentrates is always more effective than three or four.
Here, the Cherry is bright, popping and very tasty. Ok, it’s a little on the fabricated side but for main stream vapers it’s got the goods.
It’s also more prominent than the Watermelon which surprisingly enough, complements the Cherry. It cancels out what could have been a very sweet vape and adds a mouth watering appeal without jostling for too much attention.
Menthol pumps through the exhale again but this time doesn’t distract from what is a rather clever flavour arrangement.
Watermelon Cherry brings something a little bit different to the vape table. Surely that’s worth a point or two on its own.
White Peach Raspberry
IVG Says:
Filled with aromatic White Peach combined with sweet Raspberries, presenting you with a mouth full of flavour.
I Say:
This one is very floral and sweet tasting. It does carry a distinct aroma that somehow manages to punch through an elevated level of Menthol.
However, this is one occasion where I wish that icy chill had been toned down a bit. It cuts in quite sharply despite giving plenty of warning of its ferocity on the inhale.
The White Peach is on show from start to finish and keeps the exhale smooth and velvety. It does lack the usual juiciness and tartness and I feel a little let down by the lack of Raspberries.
Given this version of Peach is supposed to include those delicate undertones I’m at something of a loss. I struggle to find any traces and that Menthol isn’t helping.
I would be more inclined to class this as a Peach Menthol vape by all accounts. That’s not necessarily a bad thing but from my own experiences, White Peach Raspberry doesn’t quite live up to its name.
Final Review Verdict
The burning question is this. Does the IVG Bar Favourites range replicate the experiences of a disposable e-cig?
A lot of that will depend on the choice of gear you use. I thought the Digiflavor Siren V4 RTA was up to task, pumping out similar levels of power as a disposable.
Pod kits such as the Voopoo Argus P1 or Vaporesso XROS 3 will also be highly suited.
Just remember to set airflow to a similar MTL restriction.
As far as Menthol is concerned, they’re all on track but I still noticed a difference to intensity and flavour from sample to sample.
I wouldn’t say the fruits were as ‘in your face’ as those of a disposable but Mixed Berries came pretty darn close.
So did Fresh Mint for its overall flavour intensity.
What about sweetness levels?
Generally speaking these were on par with a standard 10ml E-liquid bottle. I actually appreciated that because disposables in my opinion, are heavily laden with sweetener.
So on a scale of 1 – 10 I’d give the IVG Bar Favourites an 8 in terms of replicating the experiences of a disposable vape.
On the strength of flavour mixing and with Blackcurrant Mango and Watermelon Cherry in mind, it has to be a clear 10.
All day, every day.
