We’ve taken a look at quite a few of IVG’s most recent releases, including the IVG Smart 5500 kits, the 6000 bar salts range, the hugely popular 4 in 1 kits as well as the IVG Bar Favourites. So let’s have a look at the IVG Air 2 in 1 Pod Kit!
What Can We Expect From The IVG Air 2 in 1 Pod Kit?
IVG have got plenty of form in the pre-filled pod kit game and have become one of the leading manufacturers in this segment of the market. That is thanks to kits like the IVG 5500 and the IVG 4 in 1- which was one of the first kits to popularise the ‘revolver’ type system of switching between different pod flavours on the move!
The IVG Air 2 in 1 is IVG’s latest pre-filled pod kit. It is designed to offer a convenient, long-lasting vape that lasts as long as two disposable vapes but at less cost! Plus you can re-use this device over and over again.
Built into the kit is a rechargeable 850mAh battery, to power you through long vaping sessions. As you have the ability to recharge the IVG Air 2 in 1 device and purchase extra pre-filled pods you have a truly reusable pod system.
Each pod comes with 2ml of 20mg nicotine salt e-liquid, to deliver a fast acting nicotine hit without any sharp throat hit. You get two 2ml pods included in your kit and there are currently 26 different pod flavours to choose from!
You can switch between two pods / flavours in your IVG Air 2 in 1 device easily simply by rotating the mouthpiece. You can also replace your pods easily with the press of a button!

Design & Build Quality
Measuring in at 83mm x 46mm x 23mm and weighing 61g, the IVG Air 2 in 1 device is a palm-friendly little pod system sporting rounded edges and a pebble shaped design.
At the top of the device is a mouthpiece which you can actually rotate, which allows you to switch between the two pods that you have in your device.
There is no way of seeing how much e-liquid remains in your pod. The only clue you’ll get that the pod is about to run out is that the flavour will start to weaken and/or taste a little bit burnt.
Once you have finished off your pods you simply remove and discard them before replacing them with fresh ones that can be purchased separately!
You’ll notice a button just under the mouthpiece, pressing this button will allow you to open up the top of the IVG Air 2 in 1 device to gain access to the chamber which takes two pods.
There are clear viewing windows on either side of the device which allows you to see which flavours your pods are.
During my time using the IVG Air 2 in 1, I did have an intermittent issue whereby one of the pod chambers did not seem to detect the pod that had been inserted and it required me to switch the pods around to fix it.
Bit of a strange one but an easy fix, hopefully I just had a one-off faulty device and this isn’t a widespread issue with these units.
I did notice that I needed to wipe the mouthpiece after taking a puff on it before twisting it to switch flavours, as it gets a little slippery after vaping on it.
To be honest, you probably should be wiping it anyway before touching it for hygiene purposes!
Overall, I felt the build quality felt a little on the cheap and plasticky side. The lid on mine was a little crunchy, but this is a sub £10 budget pod system after all!
Pods
The IVG Air 2 in 1 is compatible with IVG Air pods, which can also be used in the IVG Air 4 in 1. These are pre-filled with 2ml of 20mg nicotine salt based e-liquid.
You get plenty of choice when it comes to flavours here. Firstly, there are six different IVG Air 2 in 1 kits to pick from and each one comes with two different flavoured pods to get you going. The kit choices are-

- Blue IVG Air 2 in 1 kit– includes Blue Raspberry Ice and Blue Sour Raspberry pods

- Gold IVG Air 2 in 1 kit– includes Blue Raspberry Ice and Fizzy Cherry pods

- Purple IVG Air 2 in 1 kit– includes Lemon Cherry Passionfruit and Lemon and Lime pods
Finished the two pods that came with your kit? Don’t throw the device away, as you have 26 different pre-filled pods to pick from, meaning that you can continue using your IVG Air 2 in 1 kit for a long time to come!
These come in packs of two 2ml pre-filled pods. The different pod flavours to pick from are-

Quick Start Guide
- Firstly, you’ve got to load your pods into the IVG Air device. Push the button just under the mouthpiece to open the lid, then load the pods in with the arrows pointing downwards.
- After this, close the lid and press it down until it clicks. To switch between the two flavours, lift and rotate the mouthpiece until it is over your desired pod.
The IVG Air 2 in 1 features a simple, auto draw system so you only need to take a draw on the mouthpiece to get the device to fire. No buttons needed here!
Charging is via USB-C and you’ll need your own cable as there isn’t one supplied with the kit.
The USB-C charging port is located at the base of the device and you just need to plug a suitable USB-C cable in there.
How Does The IVG Air 2 in 1 Kit Perform?
I was sent the Black IVG Air 2 in 1 kit for review so here’s some quick thoughts on the included pods.
Pineapple Ice
I felt that this one tasted more like a Pineapple Cube Sweet type flavour and had quite a nice icy kick at the end of it.
There’s a nice aftertaste of sweet pineapple at the end of it but it just needed a bit more flavouring, as I felt it lacked a bit of the depth present in other pineapple ice flavours.
The flavour itself is good enough but I would say that it is a little weaker than I would like, which might suit people who prefer more subtle flavours.
Fizzy Cherry
This is quite a straightforward generic Red cherry flavour, which is no bad thing for me as I actually quite enjoy a cherry vape!
It’s quite like a chewy cherry sweet and left me with quite a thick mouthfeel afterwards.
I wasn’t picking up on much in the way of fizz but then my track record in tasting fizz isn’t the best, it seems to be a hard note for me to pick up on!
Device Performance
As with many other starter kit pod systems, the IVG Air 2 in 1 offers a mouth to lung vape so you have a similar draw to what you would get from a cigarette. The auto draw system means you just puff on the device to vape it.
Airflow is fixed so there is no way of adjusting this to your liking.
The device fires pretty much instantaneously as soon as you take a draw on it and it delivers a smooth vape with a decent amount of vapour produced.
It does feel like it is delivering the right amount of power to the coil and I had no issues with e-liquid being spat into my mouth or any gurgling.
Battery life is a key selling point with this kit. The 850mAh battery will power you through well over a day’s worth of vaping. As the battery is rechargeable you’ll be able to continue to keep getting plenty of use out of your IVG Air 2 in 1 device.
Puff Count
IVG themselves don’t actually state how many puffs you are likely to get from each pod in their marketing for the IVG Air 2 in 1. Which is something I actually like to see because you can get some really outlandish claims from some manufacturers!
How many puffs you will get from each pod will depend on how often and how long you take a draw on the device, so shorter and less frequent puffs will get more out of it as opposed to longer and deeper draws.
I sit firmly in the ‘longer and deeper’ draws camp and I recently took the IVG Air 2 in 1 away with me on a five day family camping trip. I counted 288 puffs from the Pineapple Ice pod and 275 from the Fizzy Cherry one.
So, this got me through about two days of use alongside another pod system.
If you are looking for a device like this for a longer trip away and don’t want to take too much vaping gear away with you, it might be worth taking a look at spending a little more money on the IVG Air 4 in 1.

Cons
- Only available in 20mg strength.
- Only fruit and menthol flavours to pick from.
- Build quality feels a little cheap.
- Can be hard to twist the mouthpiece to switch flavours without wiping it first as it gets a little slippery after vaping on it!
- Had an issue with my unit where one of the pod chambers would intermittently not detect the pod.
Final Verdict
This is a mouth to lung pod kit that will definitely appeal to beginners, or to vapers that want a no-frills device to take away with them for a couple of days. It’s dead simple to set up and vape away on, with a really quick set up time.
I’m pleased to see that IVG are also selling refill pods, which means you can continue to use your IVG Air 2 in 1 even after you’ve vaped the two pods that are included in the kit. For that reason, it is also a more sustainable choice for vaping!
Vape Club are selling these for £8.99, which represents great value for money for a pod system that you can re-use time and time again. That’s less than the price of two disposable vapes and you get more vaping for your money right out of the box.
