Vape Club have sent over a selection of the Insta Max 20K disposable vape kits for us to look at in today’s review!
These kits are produced by Instaflow, who are a UK based company that primarily specialise in large capacity disposable vape kits. Products include the Instaflow 5000 and they also partnered up with Zap! for the Zap x Instafill range that we have previously reviewed!
What Can We Expect From The Insta Max 20K Kits?
You aren’t going to be caught short without something to vape when you are packing one of these Insta Max 20K kits!
They pack two whopping 10ml e-liquid containers that are designed to keep you vaping away, with up to 20,000 puffs on offer!
There are 15 different kits available and each kit comes with two separate flavours.
A button on the device lets you switch between the two at once, or if you fancy vaping both at the same time then there is an option to do that as well!
Two pods are present on the device, each with a 1ml capacity and a 1.2ohm mesh coil in the pod.
The pods automatically refill from the refill containers in the device. 20mg nicotine salt is used in the blend, to provide quick nicotine craving relief but without any harsh throat hit.
There’s a built-in 800mAh battery designed to last you the day and this can also be recharged via USB-C.

Design and Build Quality
For a device that packs two 10ml refill containers, as well as two pods, you would expect this to be on the large side! It certainly is measuring in at 110mm x 55mm x 29mm!
It sports a sort of pebble shape to it, with rounded edges that are designed to fit nicely in the hand. The two 10ml refill containers slot in at the base and the mouthpiece pops off to reveal the two 1ml pods.
Speaking of the mouthpiece, you’ll notice that there are two holes present in it. Each one is dedicated to one of the two included flavours and if you opt to use both pods at once then both of them will be in play!

Also present on the kit is a function button, to switch between flavours and an LED indicator underneath the button. On the opposite side to this is the USB-C charging port, which charges up the built-in 800mAh battery.
Overall, the build quality isn’t the best, it feels a bit plasticky and cheap, plus there’s occasionally a bit of stiffness when inserting the pods and sliding the refill containers in.
But, this is a mass produced £13 disposable vape kit after all!
Quick Start Guide
As this is a ‘big puff’ vape kit, you need to assemble it before using it as it would not comply with TPD rules and regulations if it arrived already assembled! There’s a fair few steps to follow before you get up and running and these are:
- Remove the instruction sticker from the device
- Pull the red safety plugs out of the device and the mouthpiece
- Pop the mouthpiece off by giving it a push backwards
- Insert the spare pod in the kit until you hear a clicking sound
- Push the mouthpiece firmly back on
- Remove the caps from the refill containers by pushing them down and twisting anticlockwise
- Slide the refill containers along the grooves at the bottom until they click into place
- Tilt the device upside down to feed liquid to the pods
- Leave the device for 10 seconds before vaping
To switch between the flavours, double click the function button twice. Flavour 1 is indicated by the first LED light and flavour 2 is indicated by the third LED light. You can also opt to use both flavours at once and the first and third LED lights will indicate both are in use.
Charging the device is as simple as plugging a USB-C cable in, although there isn’t one included with the kit. The Insta Max 20K charges up in around 30 minutes.
Once you have finished both of the 10ml refill containers, you’ll need to dispose of them by removing them from the device and disposing of them into an approved waste container, along with the spent pods.

Vape Club sent us four of the kits to try out and here are my thoughts:
Pineapple Mojito
I was looking forward to trying this one out as this features two of my favourite disposable flavours!
Unfortunately, the flavour here just seemed to be really lacking. It wasn’t bad, or artificial tasting, it just didn’t seem like there was very much to it.
Grape Lime
I have to say that this one was my pick of the four different kits that I received for review!
Flavour here was a bit better and arguably this had the strongest level of flavouring out of the four of them.
Cherry Cola
I think there’s a bit of a theme emerging here, as yes you have the two flavours as you would expect, but both taste quite bland and are too subtle.
Strawberry Cherry
Starting off with the strawberry, this reminds me of a strawberry Chewit Sweet but much less flavourful and less sweet too.
How Does The Insta Max 20K Kit Perform?
Unfortunately, the performance is what lets this kit down.
This has a 1.2ohm coil, which I feel is too weak for the size of the boreholes in the mouthpiece. I felt that too little power reaches the coil resulting in a weak tasting and overly airy vape.
Puff Count
With the Insta Max 20K, the manufacturers claim that you can get up to 20,000 puffs from a single kit!
I actually did make a tally when using the Pineapple Mojito kit and I got 7,655 in total before both of the refill containers were fully empty.
Pros
- A lot of vaping for your money
- Ability to switch between two flavours or even mix the two together
- Lots of flavours to choose from

Cons
- Vape seems to lack in flavour
- Feels under-powered
- Build quality feels quite cheap
- Bit of a faff to set up
- Quite a large kit to carry around with you
- No adjustable airflow
Final Verdict
On paper, there’s a great idea here, having the ability to easily switch between two flavours on the fly and even mix them together if you so wish, but unfortunately the execution doesn’t quite stick the landing.
