Today I’m taking a look at the new IJOY PUNK range of disposable vapes.
Please note: This product is not available in the UK as it doesn’t meet the TPD requirements. So only available for readers outside of TPD regulated countries.
It’s never a good idea to take your eye off the ball when it comes to leading vape manufacturers. I’ve always associated IJOY with starter kits and sub ohm devices. For example I can distinctly recall the IJOY Captain dual 18650 box Mod
These days their website is splattered with images of disposable vapes and pod mods. It definitely feels like the dedicated sub ohm vape kit (dare I say of old?) has been cast aside in favour of popularity, accessible and ease of use.
It’s just a sign of the times. Time is something I seem to have trouble keeping up with.
Although numerous products have been released through their LIO brand, the PUNK is the very first disposable to be released by IJOY.
IJOY believes their success comes from a deep understanding across business, technology and end user. They integrate character, originality and innovation into every product.
Will that vaping ethos apply to the PUNK range of disposable vapes? Let’s take a look.
What Can We Expect From the IJOY PUNK Disposable vapes?
The most important thing to know is that the IJOY PUNK is non TPD compliant, so this is only available for our readers outside most of the EU/UK. It contains 12ml of E-liquid with either 30mg or 50mg salt nicotine.
It’s powered by a 1200mAh integrated battery designed to last a single charge.
That’s right – no type C charging or charging of any kind with the IJOY PUNK. Once that battery fails it’s vape over. Time to dispose of. Responsibly, please!
The battery provides a constant 11W output to the new 1.1ohm mesh2 coil. Expect anything in the region of 4,500 puffs from that single charge.
It’s going to be interesting to see how this all balances out..
The range is available in 25 flavours. Choose from fruity, mint, sweetie or drink style vapes. Mostly with the obligatory splash of ice.

I couldn’t find any flavour descriptions for the ones I’m testing today so it’s a case of going in blind folded.
Remember that flavour is subjective. What I find from my vaping experiences may differ from those of your own. The intention is to provide a rough guide as to what to expect.
PUNK – Lush Ice
I Say:
I get a nice, fresh tasting Watermelon from Lush Ice. That’s the only flavour within the vape. It has a natural husky back note running throughout the exhale, adding to the appeal.
It does seem like the cooling agent has been stepped up a notch and instantly hits the back of the throat on the inhale. I’d give it a 7/10 on the Stinger Gauge. It’s accompanied by a wave of sweetness that doesn’t actually invade the experience too much.
The Watermelon is very consistent during exhale and actually takes a while to subside from the palate post vape. No bad thing if you’re a fan of the fruit – which I am.
Lush Ice is a single flavour vape without bells or whistles. It’s going to appeal to both new and casual vaper because it packs a refreshing enough punch.
Perfectly suited to the Summer season.
PUNK – Strawberry Kiwi
I Say:
Yeah, this one contains a little too much sweetness for my liking. When it invades the vape like this it takes away some of the enjoyment of the overall flavours on offer.
It hits hard, even on the inhale and is far too rich and sickly during the vape itself.
The Strawberry is your generic chewy boot lace sweet version so no real surprises there. That’s a shame and another lost opportunity. Why do manufacturers insist on playing this succulent summer fruit down all the time?
However, the Kiwi has been blended in quite well. Traces of Pineapple seem to appear early on in the vape while Banana pulls through later on. It’s the bendy, yellow fruit that lingers as an after taste so there’s a degree of complexity on show here.
The icy cold blast to the throat sticks around again and gains a 7/10 for ‘stingerability’.
Despite my thoughts on the Strawberry taste, Strawberry Kiwi is going to hit home with the casual disposable vaper.
PUNK White Gummy
I Say:
Incredible! This is one of the best sweetie, skittle style vapes I’ve had in a long time. Disposable or otherwise.
There’s definitely a gummy edge to the exhale. A sweetness exudes from the inhale and seeps out during the vape. In the middle there’s an eclectic mixture of candied fruit.
I get a distinct alternative tropical vibe of Pineapple, Orange and Lemon. Pineapple is the dominant player here while Lemon exposes itself by its citric nature.
More sweet than refreshing and no doubt as intended, the icy cold blast from the Coolada seems at odds with the rest of the taste experience.
While it only rates as a 6/10 on my ‘stinger’ gauge expect it to linger around the palate long afterwards. I’m not sure it was really necessary with White Gummy.
Feel free to disagree should you decide to partake yourself, of course..
Battery Performance and Number of Puffs
The IJOY PUNK disposable lasted for three days and I’m quite a heavy vaper.
This meant vaping consistently for a total of 42.5 hours. Using my own personalised vape calculator that equates to 3,024 puffs. Not too bad but still some way short of the suggested 4,500.
When the battery is exhausted the LED will flash 10 times and vaping is no longer possible.
I mentioned earlier about seeing how things balance out. Well the IJOY PUNK does a damn fine job when it comes to battery / E-liquid balancing. Every vape was flavoursome and consistent.
I never suffered any juice seepage into the mouth (disposables are prone to this during their life span) and vapour production was excellent throughout.
The flavour remained strong across the three days use but vapour production did begin to wain towards the end.
To summarise, the e-juice will last the lifetime of the 1200mAh integrated battery.
IJOY PUNK Disposable Vapes – Final Review Verdict
The disposables come in a very nice presentation case. They’re held in place by two flavour colour coded rubber plugs either end. The dreamscape artwork sits on a reflective back drop and certainly doesn’t lack any character.
Don’t ask me to explain what’s going on in them, though! lol
The IJOY PUNK is set up for one of the best MTL vapes going in terms of disposable vapes. Not once did I have the urge to attempt a restrictive direct lung hit. I didn’t need to with a ‘classic’ mouth to lung vape like this.
Since the range is available in 30mg or 50mg nicotine strength, wouldn’t it have made sense to print this on the labelling? I couldn’t find the information anywhere!
Judging by the head rush I’d suggest 50mg but it would’ve been nice to prepare for that lol.
Overall the flavours tested were ok. Some good blending of fruit is on offer but IJOY have played it relatively safe with their choice of concentrates. The cooling agent is slightly above what I’d personally consider a comfortable level. I’m sure many would disagree. It’s my own opinion, of course.
It performs extremely well. Very consistently for flavour, vapour and auto draw which was flawless. Indeed performance outweighs flavour quality in my opinion.
The casual vaper is likely to get at least a full weeks worth from this non rechargeable disposable. I think that represents very good value for money.
