The iJoy Nic Tank is a strange little fella – I want so badly to call this a Mouth to lung (MTL) tank but I am not 100% sure it is!
We tell you what the terms MTL and DTL mean in our Guide to Vaping Styles.
Anyway iJoy say this tank is designed for Nicotine Salts – so you would think it would be more of a MTL type device?
The reason I am slightly confused is the huge range of coils available. They are a new range termed the “NIC” coils and come in the following options:
- NIC Q2 – 1.2ohm dual coil – included in kit.
- NIC Q3 – 0.8ohm triple coil – included in kit.
- NIC Q4 – 0.6ohm quad coil
- DIY NIC RTA Deck – the ability to build your own coils
So as you can see some of the coils with the low resistance and multiple coils remind me more of a sub ohm DTL tank? But I suppose they could work with higher nicotine or nic salts? When you think about some pod mod devices use low resistance coils with a low power output?
Following on with the MTL theme is a small 510 drip tip – again usually a feature you find on low power MTL tanks.
You also get an adjustable bottom airflow control and a slide top fill cap.
There are 6 colours to choose from: Matte Black, Matte Gun Metal, Mirror Rainbow, Mirror Stainless Steel, Mirror Gold and Mirror Blue.

So as you can see I am not sure what to make of the iJoy Nic Tank? However the RTA deck option will be a huge selling point I think – for instance the Smoant Pasito RBA deck has been a great success.
