Hot on the heels of our recent Icewave T600 review, comes the review of the Icewave B600 disposables!

The Icewave B600 range offers 10 different flavours, packaged up in a ‘Gemstone Cut’ designed disposable vape.

icewave-b600-review

The flavours that make up the Icewave B600 range are all fruit based e-liquid (it is the most popular market after all), with the exception of the Spearmint flavour.

As mentioned in the Icewave T600 review, the company behind Icewave is ICCPP, who are also responsible for vape giants Voopoo.

Voopoo also sent the Icewave T600’s to me to try out as well and I must say I am a big fan of the Cola flavour. Many thanks to Voopoo for sending both the Icewave T600 and B600 ranges to enjoy and review.

Let’s crack on with the review!

What Can We Expect From The Icewave B600 Disposable Vapes?

A pretty design, with some eye catching colour schemes to boot!

On the Icewave website, the B600 is described as having a ‘Gemstone Cut Design’ as well as an ergonomic design to make it comfortable in the hand.

A different option to the T600 range shown at the top of the image below.

Convenience is a key selling point here too, the Icewave B600 range of disposable vapes means all you really need to do is unbox them, remove the stickers and Silicone mouthpiece plug, then get vaping.

No buttons or removable batteries to mess around with here.

Ten flavours make up the Icewave B600 range, with them all being fruit based apart from the Spearmint flavour.

There’s takes on some of the most popular flavours available today, with each B600 coming pre-filled with a TPD friendly 2ml of 20mg nicotine salt based e-liquid.

Nicotine salt based e-liquid has become a popular choice over the years as it offers a good flavour delivery and a smooth nicotine fix, similar to a nicotine hit delivered by a cigarette, without a harsh throat hit.

b600-flavours

An upgraded 1.2ohm mesh coil is present and each Icewave B600 disposable is rated for up to 600 puffs.

Also there is an LED battery indicator present which will tell you how much battery life you have left in your disposable.

Design and Build Quality

Measuring in at 33.9mm x 19.5mm x 86.2mm, the Icewave B600 sits nicely in the hand and its rectangular box-shaped design makes it easy to hold. The finish doesn’t feel slippery at all and these also won’t take up too much space in your pockets, nor weigh them down.

Design wise, the Icewave B600 is well…quite flashy?

icewave-disposable

It sports a crystallised, gemstone like design which actually catches the light well, with a different colour scheme present in each one depending on which flavour you purchase.

I’m actually quite a fan of the design, I feel it is quite unique and stands out compared to your run of the mill, boring pen-styled disposable vape.

Puffing on the Icewave B600, you’ll get a mouth to lung (MTL) hit that is a bit tighter than some of the other disposables out there. This means you won’t be blowing huge clouds of vapour, but the flavour can be more intense than a direct to lung (DTL) vape.

Each Icewave B600 has a built-in 400mAh battery.

At the base of the Icewave B600 is an LED light indicator, which provides a visual indicator of how much life is left in the battery. I’ll cover this in a bit more detail in the ‘Puff Count / Battery Life’ section below.

Spearmint

icewave b600 spearmintDuring my years of vaping, I have had a few periods where I have pretty much exclusively vaped menthol or mint based e-liquid, I just find it quite satisfying to get a nice minty blast in my mouth whenever I am having a puff on my vape of choice.

Icewave B600’s Spearmint does a pretty solid job. It offers a crisp, refreshing minty blast, akin to the mouth feel from an actual Spearmint. It works well as a refreshing Spearmint vape, or as a palate cleanser when switching between flavours.

The cooling sensation could be turned up a notch in my opinion, but I do like an e-liquid that has a strong cooling or menthol sensation.

Apple Peach

b600 fruit shakeApple Peach was the second flavour I tried in the Icewave B600 range and from the minute I picked it up, I could not put it down! The Apple is tart and crisp, and there is plenty of very juicy Peach flavouring with a nice cooling undertone that kicks in after about 1-2 seconds of puffing on this.

This delivers great flavour without being overly sweet or artificial tasting too, both the Apple and Peach flavours present here taste authentic.

Apple Peach is definitely a very moreish disposable vape, the flavour combination just really does it here for me and I found that the flavour lingered around in my mouth for some time afterwards.

Really well mixed, and an absolutely delicious vape.

This was my overall personal favourite from the Icewave B600 range.

Banana Ice

b600 banana iceNope, sorry, not for me this one!

I am not a particularly big fan of Banana flavoured e-liquid in the first instance, finding that a lot of them tasted too artificial or too much like the Banana Foam Sweets that I absolutely detested as a child.

Unfortunately the Banana Ice flavour has done little to change my opinion. I get a big fat hit of artificial, Banana Foam Sweet type flavouring followed up with koolada and it isn’t something that I personally could get on with.

I found it to be a very strange combination, I was expecting a Banana Milkshake type flavour but I didn’t get that with this particular flavour.

Of course, there are people out there who do love a Banana Foam Sweet type flavour, if that’s you then this may well work!

Grapefruit Berries

icewave b600 grapefruit berriesAfter a good toot of the Spearmint flavour to get rid of the Banana Ice flavour, it is onto the Grapefruit Berries!

Much more like it. The Grapefruit isn’t too overpowering and this is complemented by a mixture of different berry flavourings with some koolada, I was getting Blackcurrant and Raspberry but that might just be my taste buds.

It is both tangy and quite sweet, but mixed very well so that the flavours aren’t too strong and the koolada isn’t too overpowering. Good stuff!

Pineapple Ice

icewave b600 pineapple iceAs I’ve mentioned in my Nasty Bar review, I do like a Pineapple Ice disposable and unfortunately I didn’t quite enjoy the offering from the Nasty Bar range, despite the rest of the range being very good.

Hopefully the Icewave B600 version is an improvement!

And an improvement it is. The flavour profile has been absolutely nailed here, to me it is reminiscent of a refreshing glass of Pineapple juice. The Pineapple flavouring tastes authentic, and the koolada compliments it perfectly.

It has a very good balance of sweetness with a tropical vibe. This is actually one of the best Pineapple Ice disposables I have tried yet!

Berry Cherry Ice

icewave b600 berry cherry iceI didn’t find the Cherry flavouring to be particularly strong with this one, I got more of a mixed berry mouthfeel with a bit of a subdued cooling sensation.

The overall flavour itself wasn’t too overpowering and flavour delivery is smooth, making it a good option if you want a bit of a mellowed fruity vape.

I found that the koolada was a little toned down with this disposable compared to other flavours present in the range, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as a strong cooling sensation each time you vape won’t appeal to everyone.

Kiwi Passionfruit Guava

b600 kiwi passionfruit guavaAh yes, what self-respecting range of disposables would be complete without the ubiquitous Kiwi Passionfruit Guava flavour?!

That being said, I am very partial to this particular flavour when purchasing a disposable vape and have tried many different iterations over my time.

There’s no mistaking the flavour here, I could smell it as soon as I had taken the disposable out of the protective packet.

And I’m pleased to report that it is a really well blended flavour, getting the balance of the Kiwi fruit, Passionfruit and Guava flavours just right, with a pleasant cooling undertone.

Again, not too sweet and no nasty artificial taste present here. A tasty tropical combo!

Watermelon

icewave b600 watermelonOK, as I’ve mentioned before, Watermelon flavours definitely aren’t amongst my favourites!

But the Icewave B600 version actually does a pretty good job here. It wouldn’t be something that I would vape repeatedly due to my own preferences on flavours, but this flavour really isn’t too bad!

A juicy Watermelon flavour is present and correct, along with the koolada present in all flavours from this range.

It isn’t overpowering, artificial or offensive and is actually fairly refreshing even to this Watermelon vape avoider. People that enjoy Watermelon flavoured e-liquid will really enjoy this disposable.

Blueberry Raspberry

b600 blueberry raspberryReally tart and sweet, Blueberry and Raspberry is a combo that always seems to blend well together and the version present in the Icewave B600 is no different. It is mixed well, with neither the Blueberry nor the Raspberry overpowering each other and a refreshing cooling blast.

It appeals to my taste buds and is another one I was happy to vape on all day long.

I did really enjoy this disposable flavour, I couldn’t really find any fault with it. It is up there with the Pineapple Ice and the Apple Peach as my pick of the bunch from the Icewave B600 range!

Fruit Shake

icewave b600 fruit shakeOn the inhale, I get a tropical combo of Mango and Pineapple, with a berry mixture aftertaste and a very modest hint of koolada. It is kind of reminiscent of a tropical drink at first, but then the mixed berry flavours kick in and keep my taste buds on their toes!

Fruit Shake was definitely a grower on me. I’m still not 100% convinced by it, I wasn’t a fan on the first puff, but the more I vaped it the more I actually started to enjoy it.

There’s a lot of exotic fruit flavouring going on here and I pick up different flavour notes each time I vape on it! A good one to pick if you are looking for an exotic fruity mix.

Puff Count / Battery Life

As with most popular disposable vapes on the UK market today, the Icewave B600 is rated for up to 600 puffs. However this can vary depending on your own vaping habits, such as how often you use it and how long you draw on the device for.

Whilst testing the Apple Peach (yes, I am sad enough to make an actual tally), I made it 603 puffs before it completely died a death.

b600-side-view

I used this as my primary vape for a full day, with the odd sneaky puff on my Voopoo Argus P1s here and there and it lasted me for the majority of my day.

I did notice that when the battery indicator was lighting up Red, the quality of the vape noticeably decreased.

As I vape quite heavily – getting just about a day’s use from a disposable (if I am using it as my primary vape) is what I would expect. If I am taking one to work (where I don’t often get too much of chance to pop out for a vape on a 12-and-a-half-hour shift) I’ll get a couple of days out of a disposable.

People who vape more moderately would expect to get a bit longer usage.

At the base of each Icewave B600 disposable, there is a small LED light indicator to be found. This will actually change colour depending on the amount of charge left in the battery. If it lights up Green, there is 61%-100% battery left, Blue is 20%-60% and Red is less than 20%.

I haven’t actually come across this feature on a disposable vape before and I think it is great!

Usually with a disposable vape the only indicator that it is reaching the end of its lifespan is that the strength of the vape and the flavour will drop off quite considerably, so it is good to have a visual indicator here, allowing you to start thinking about getting your next flavour!

Final Review Verdict

Really impressed with the Icewave B600 range! The flavours that have made up the Icewave range have done the job for me, offering a satisfying and flavourful vape as well as a good nicotine hit.

They also get extra brownie points for the LED battery indicator at the bottom, which I’m sure will be helpful to many that pick one of these up.

At first, when looking at the box, I though these would be a bit garish looking but when I actually unboxed the Icewave B600’s and started using them, I was actually quite impressed with the design.

Hats off to them for making something that attempts to stand out a bit in a very crowded market.

Flavour wise, I can’t really fault them, with the exception of the Banana Ice flavour – but that is down to my own personal preference and dislike for Banana flavoured e-liquid, I know that flavour will still be a hit with some out there.

The performance has been good and what I would come to expect from a disposable. Great job Icewave!

Vaping full time since 2012, started on cigalikes for a while then curiosity got the better of me and I moved onto an vape pens, a month or two later I was seeing people walking around with these interesting shiny tubes and I thought 'I gotta get one of those'. Before I knew it a trip down to my local B&M got me my first VW mod, an Innokin SVD, paired with an iClear 30, and I was hooked. Soon after that I was jumping to VW mods both box and tube shaped, before I then made the jump to rebuilding and thus sub ohming, with my first RDA and mech mod. These days I've come back to convenience and mainly use pods, disposables and the VOOPOO Drag H40. Most importantly I am still loving vaping!

icewave-b600-disposable-vape-reviewA very solid range of disposable vapes coming from one of the most well-regarded manufacturers in the industry, with a great flashy design to boot. They look great and taste great too!
