The IBVTA (Independent British Vape Trade Association) have published a guide to sustainable vaping.
This is split into multiple sections for customers and retailers.
Read online here – “Supporting Sustainability“.
The issue of disposable vape waste is massively in the news at the moment and I will write a more detailed article of where and what you can recycle in the near future.
Retailer Advice
The document details all the applicable regulations and all the complex “ins and outs” of these regulations.
It can be complicated depending on the size and style of your business and this document helps to simplify things.
Also there are companies who offer recycling solutions to the vape industry listed with links of how to get in touch.
Customers
There is advice on how to try to avoid excessive vape waste by looking into reusable or easy to recycle kits.
In addition, the responsible dedicated sector is working with licenced recycling partners to roll out more recycling bins so more consumers will recycle their used vapes. What message are they getting when told the products can’t be recycled?https://t.co/2EMDkQwLXM

We disseminate information (incl guidance by @recycleelectric) to industry as well as pointing to liscenced recycling businesses, with the aim that there is greater take up of recycling opportunities, and awareness of reusable, rechargeable products. https://t.co/boVyqWJ0Jj
