Today I want to introduce you to the intriguing Hell200 Kit, from the great design team over at Hellvape.
This 200W regulated mod kit includes the new TLC Sub-Ohm tank!
Hellvape holds worldwide acclaim for being one of the best in their field and really needs no introduction to the wider vaping community.
They are based in Shenzhen China and have been on the scene since 2016!
Hellvape is mostly known for their toppers like their Dead Rabbit range. Many don’t realise that Hellvape has produced a few box mods in the past most notably the Arez 120!
What Can We Expect From the Hell200 Kit by Hellvape?
This ultra-light dual 18650 battery mod can fire up to a hellish 200 watts and will take atomisers up to 30mm.
The mod has multiple output modes to support different vaping styles! The mod shape is very ergonomic and comfortable to hold.
The Hell200 mod has been paired with the new TLC tank and this is an interesting tank. Very similar in design and looks to the Wirice Launcher sub-ohm tank.
It has a top loading coil system which was quite popular with the Launcher series along with triple bottom adjustable airflow!
This product was sent to me directly by Hellvape for review.
My thoughts and views are my own after a considerable testing period.

Design and Build Quality
Hellvape released this Kit in 3 colours – Black, Gunmetal and Silver Black.
I was sent a standard kit, in Silver Black for this review and the kit comes well presented in a card box with a paper over sleeve.
Hellvape TLC Tank
Let’s start with a quick look at the TLC Tank.
This tank has a 25mm diameter and a height of 50mm, the construction is 304 Stainless Steel with Pyrex glass and an 810 Delrin mouthpiece!
There is a ¼ turn fill cap, removing it reveals 2 kidney-shaped fill ports.
Out of the box the capacity (standard version) is 5ml or 6.5ml with the bubble glass fitted or for those in the TPD area, the kits come with 2ml capacity!
The airflow for this one is a bottom triple airflow with a firm-to-turn airflow control ring (AFC). Also the tank has a well-turned 510 threading and a gold-plated connection pin.
Hellvape TLC Tank Coils
The coils are installed by simply unscrewing the mouthpiece shaft, and dropping your coil down the chimney, then replacing the mouthpiece assembly. The coil will be seated on a gold plated spring loaded connection pin, as you push and screw into the tank the coil will push open the liquid valves!
The kit comes with 2 Kanthal coils –
- T7-01 0.15Ω meshed coil 60-70w
- T7-02 0.2Ω Meshed coil 50-60w
The TLC Tank is also compatible with the Launcher coils W8 01/02.
This is a very simple friendly tank to use, it is well weighted and has been constructed well.
Hellvape Hell200 Mod
In 2021 Hellvape released its first regulated mod the Arez 120! Let’s take a look around the new Hell200 mod!
The Hell200 device is machined from Aerospace-Grade Aluminium a light weight strong material!
Starting at the top
As normal there is a 510 stainless steel connection point, the threading has been well turned. The connection point is flush with the top of the mod and contains a gold-plated, spring-loaded connection pin.
The mod measures 80mm tall (130.65mm with the tank in place) and has a width of approximately 40mm and weighs in at just 86g without batteries.
Hellvape Hell200 – Chassis
This device is smooth but quite plain looking. The only advertising is on the back of the mod “Hell200” along with a two-line decoration that has been laser cut into the body!
Because the device is so smooth I personally feel it could have benefited from some type of raised pattern on the sides of the body to make it less slippy!
Workface
On the front of the mod, you will see a clicky fire button and a rocker adjustment bar. Also there is the colour 0.96” screen which is clean and bright. At the bottom of the workface is the type C charge port which has a charge rate of 1.5 Amps.
Battery Door
Situated on the bottom of the device, the door has the normal safety, marks design info and a unique serial number, as well as 6 battery vent holes!
The door is opened by a plastic triangular slide. The door does have a bit of movement to it but tightens once the batteries are in place.
Inside the device
Looking at the reverse of the door it has a Gold-Plated battery contact plate with orientation marks stamped into it!
The battery sled is clean and made of plastic, looking inside you will see two gold-plated contact points both spring-loaded.
As a whole, the quality, design and construction of the kit is extremely good, very much in keeping with what we expect from Hellvape!
Quick Start Guide
TLC Tank
- Unscrew the mouthpiece shaft from the TLC tank body and select one of the coils that came with the kit.
- Prime the coil by dripping a few drops of e-liquid onto all exposed cotton.
- Place the coil into the chimney and replace the mouthpiece shaft.
- Unscrew the fill port cap and fill it with your e-liquid.
- Place the tank to one side for a few minutes so the coil can soak up more e-liquid.
- Screw the TLC Tank onto the Hell200 mod and enjoy!
Hellvape Hell200 Mod
Place 2 freshly charged 18650 batteries into the device following the battery guide.
You can charge the Hell200 device via the type C charge port, but as always I recommend external charging!

- Temperature control modes: SS, TI, NI, TCR ~ 200°f to 650°f (100°c to 345°c)
- VPC (Variable Power Curve) mode: press the fire button x3, use +/- press the fire button to select P1/P2/P3 or P4 use +/- to adjust the wattage fire button to confirm
- Bypass mode: I like to think of this mode as unregulated or mech mode as it draws maximum power available from the batteries up to 4.15v per toot.
Protections
Overcharge, Short circuit, Over-discharge, Reverse polarity, Overheat, 10s puff time cutout.
How Does the Hellvape Hell200 Kit Perform?
For this example, I’m going to use the 0.15Ω coil in the TLC tank and the liquid I will be using is TJuice Red Astaire.
TLC Tank
I have to say I found the TLC tank so easy to set up for use that it was almost silly.
The hardest thing I found with this tank was changing the glass to the bubble tank – it was sealed tight! I had to heat the tank with warm water to release the hold of the O-rings!
Without beating around the bush, the airflow was fine maybe a little tight for a sub-ohm tank but perfect for me. I was impressed by the vapour production and the flavour was OK.
I’ve been using this 0.15Ω coil for over a week and it seems to still be going strong! When I first started using this coil I bedded it in at 45W and slowly worked my way up to 65W.
Hellvape Hell200 Mod
The Hell200 is a great simple device, it’s comfortable to hold for extended periods and the performance was great and ticked every box.
I did test the TC SS mode by using my Dead Rabbit M RTA with SS316L Mesh at 420°f and 55W, the function was flawless!
Pros
Hellvape Hell200
- Very good quality and design
- Manufactured with quality materials
- Light and comfortable to hold
- Flawless function
Hellvape TLC Tank
- Cloudy vapour production
- Good flavour production
- Acceptable airflow
- Very easy preparation for use
Cons
- Very smooth mod body
- TLC 5ml tank is hard to remove
Final Review Verdict
My only criticism with the kit is the mod body is very smooth. I’ve almost dropped it a couple of times maybe a raised pattern could be added to the sides.
The TLC tank is fine, but as I’ve said I don’t like stock tanks that much – so going forward I’m going to use the Dead Rabbit M RTA on the Hell200. A cool pair in my opinion!
Would I recommend the Hellvape Hell200 Kit?
“Yes,” no other words need saying apart from another great release from Hellvape!
Would I buy this kit again due to loss or damage?
“Yes”, it’s a reasonable price for a simply great kit.
Let us know your thoughts on this kit in the comments below!
Why does the mod go up to 200 watts if the tank coil max is only 60 – 70 watts?
My opinion on this is that manufacturers like Hellvape do this so that users can use their own atomisers/RDA/RTA’s on the device as a further customization thing.
