The Hellvape Dead Rabbit R Tank is another atomiser with that familiar sick looking bunny on it!
I won’t list the whole range as there are loads but the main players are the original Dead Rabbit RDA, Dead Rabbit RTA and the recent Dead Rabbit V2 RDA.
What Is New For The Hellvape Dead Rabbit R Tank…
The whole deck has been redesigned for this version – gone are the iconic “Bunny ear” posts.
The reason for this huge change is the fact this now has a mesh build deck which sort of mimics the configuration of a Mesh Coil head found in sub ohm tanks.
It is a strange building system but luckily included in the kit are 5 of the 0.2ohm mesh wires and 5 cotton strips so you can have a good practice.
Basically the deck has a cylinder which you install the coil and the cotton into with the included tool and tighten the screw to secure.
Here is a preview video from the Official Hellvape YouTube Channel showing how the coil system works.
The airflow is a bottom inlet system and there is an airflow control ring to tailor this to your preference.
When it comes to the tank capacity this has various options, the Standard kit includes a 5ml straight glass and 6.5ml bubble glass. If you are in a TPD regulated area this will only include a 2ml straight glass.
A bayonet fitting top cap is easily removed to access the large e-liquid fill ports.
There are 7 colours to choose from: Rainbow, Gold, Blue, Gunmetal, Stainless Steel, Matte Black and Matte Full Black.

I can’t decide if this deck looks a bit tricky – but seeing as pre-built mesh coil heads give a lovely flavour and excellent coil life – this could be a great DIY version!

The flavour from the Dead Rabbit mesh tank is fabulous but building it is an absolute pain!
No matter how much care I take assembling it the coil registers correctly until I fit the tank on then, more often than not, it registers as ‘short’.
At this stage putting the former tool back inside and adjusting the coil often damages the cotton and it all has to be taken out and started all over again – I invariably get through two or three cotton pads every time I change the mesh.
The Dead Rabbit coil build is much easier and doesn’t need anything like the same amount of time and alcohol to get through the process!
